Hi Ladies

just wanted to cheer you on and welcome the newly pregnant ladies well done!!!! Try and enjoy all of being pg, even though 1st Tri is scary, even having lost my first pg, I did enjoy it while it lasted, and it made me so determined to try again. Don't be scared to post here, all are in the same boat, all are scared and hopeful at the same time. What I try to say is there is always something to worry about, so you have to try and switch off and let the wonderful side take over for say 80% of the time. I now am worried about my thyroid antibodies (results tomorrow) and a low -lying placenta (check in two weeks)- no bleeding and doc says no worries it will definitely move up but.......see what I mean??? I say bugger it and bought some clothes for sweetie at the weekend to boost my courage and belief. I also bought a doppler heart monitor on ebay for £85 so I can hear sweetie when I want /need to for my own sanity

my boobs are HUGE and sore, and I have had to buy my third set of bras since becoming pg, non of my t-shirts or tops fit so I have had to buy tops as well as trousers - expensive!!!so don't wish for some symptoms they are uncomfortable!!! (dh can look not touch   ). Also I was sick from day 1 and am still very queasy and having trouble getting an apetite for the healthy things I'd like to eat - so no sickness is a wonderful opportunity to get healthy food down your neck fast!!!!

big hugs and kisses to all of you, and looking forward to seeing some of you over on the 2nd tri soon

   Hi all, not really been on hear much, as have not wanted to tempt fate, but today we had a scan and am now 9 w 4d and it was amazing, we saw its feet and hands and it was moviving around so much, i couldnt beleive it, it looked as though it was dancing and kicking its legs around, but still cant quite beleive that it is really happening to us after just one attempt at icsi, when does it sink in and feel real?

Wow - so many stories and experiences. It is such a relief to be able to read this thread and read about actual experiences, instead of those blasted web sites that say " you should be feeling this or that", and if I don't, I spiral into a panic.....

Anyway....gregmbarry - you say that the likelihood of miscarriage reduces to 10% after a heartbeat has been seen - is that the early scan heartbeat (like 7 weeks)? I keep hoping it is. Friday in Sydney will now be called heartbeat day, because it's all I can think about!

Hello my fellow Marchers! We have some more progressed friends over here, so it's nice to have a few newbies to share all the early week panic with.

Hi girls,

So nice to read all your good vibes. After friday's scare and then relief i though yeah - no more worries but monday had mild cramping on and off all day then the good old spotting again in the evening :? Phoned my midwife who was on leave but surgery rec. i phone duty midwife at hospital. She was great and got me in for a scan that lunchtime. So i ahve had a sneaky scan at 12 weeks! Everything was fine thankfully. DH got very teary - i think he was more worried than me  The minnow sure is a wriggler and measuring a few days over so growing well. I was so impressed with how effiecient they were - thought i might have to wait days to get in. They couldn't see any reason for the bleed but said not too worry - so i won't! Can now feel brave enough to tell all our friends. I have felt so guilty lying to them all but thought it would be easier of it all went horribly wrong.

Bella-s Totallt agree with the prescribed what you should and should not be - i am not on a par with any of it!

Charlie glad your scan went well - you can breathe a sigh pf relief and enjoy!

gregmbarry Agree with the clothes not fitting well.I have one pair of jeans i can wear so already borrowed a friends old maternity jeans - under bump bootlegs so don't feel like too much of a dag as very stretchy and show off skinny legs - nothing else skinny now! I look much further on then i am but think due to ohss making ovary area stick out. Not long until we are both on the other side - maybe boobs will grow then?

Mel p Congrats on your 7 week scan. I would settle down and enjoy as you are nearly home and dry. The food thing is bizarre isn't it. Comfort food is definately the thing - fish fingers, baked beans and mash -YUM! I keep telling yself lots of protein in beans and fish

Daly and Dierdre keep up the boob squeezing but not too hard - don't want any bruises! So glad your bloods are doing well Daly. Sending lots of pma to you dierdre

Bella,

Yes, I'm sure that it's the early scan - when you actually see the heart flashing - that your risk of miscarriage goes wayyy down.

Hi Girls...I have been lurking but did not want to tempt fate by coming over to this side until we saw the heartbeat. We have a nice, strong beat at 143bpm and I have 'graduated' from the clinic today!! (gosh I never want to go back there!)

I am a big boobie checker...DH thinks I have lost it...not only do I check in the morning but throughout the day! Then I grasp them to make sure they are feeling fuller.

I have been having m/s since Monday...no barfing..just naseau...so I carry with me Carrs Watercrackers.

My parents know but we are waiting to tell the ILs (they don't want grandchildren so not sure how they will handle it). My parents are ecstatic (they have also lived through so many telephone calls of tears)...Mom wants to go buy baby stuff now but told her to hold off...I don't want anything jinxed. In fact I have not looked at anything...will wait until way into 2nd trimester. The baby may have to share the dogs bed! (just kidding...although they are really nice beds :D ).

I am so happy to have made it over here....and it still feels like a dream.

Howdy,
Glad everyone is well.

Gregmbarry, lucky you with skinny legs! Have put on 6kgs (mind you havent weighed myself for couple of months prior), and have swollen belly (and the rest!), so I was a bit schocked when I read that my little miracle rascal only weights 1 teeny weeny gram at 8 weeks!!! So the other 5.99 Kgs must be my expanding backside and belly from all the mashed potato! Wouldnt change it for the world though hee hee.

Oh my gosh, I cant believe you can actually see a wee little moving baby with hands and feet at 9.5 weeks! I want another scan ... NOW!

Bella am excited for your first scan for you! Are you feeling okay bout it? Last sleep right? Maybe you saw on my other post already, but one of the threads said m/c is down to 3% by week 8. So bugger it, I am going with that stat (a positive one for once!)

Hope you and your beans and DH's all have another lovely (preggy filled) weekend

I see lots of my friends from the "waiting for first scan" thread and I see that you guys have made the plunge over to this thread, so I'll join you too.

I've had 2 ultrasounds and both babies are growing well. I have all the "fun" symptons of pregnancy as many of you do too....sick, tired, gas, throwing up, nauseau, sore boobs, etc. 2.5 weeks before my next ultrasound and I'm looking forward to that....which will also be the end of the 1st trimester.

Being my first time pregnant, this certainly is an amazing feeling.
