Hi girls!!

I am very guarded as I am not sure right now what will happen...Not sure if the twins will make it - and I know I have at least one strong baby....Also since I have an incompetant cervix they are not to keen on me trying to carry three babies so we will have to see what happens - mother nature will make that choice and whatever it maybe I will accept!!! My progesterone levels have been High but I have been injecting 1CC of progesterone every day since transfer and they just reduced to 3/4 of CC my progesterone - i will probably continue the shots til at least 8 weeks - placenta takes over production at about 10 weeks

I have been injecting 1 cc everyday since transfer too Jessica.. What did your level end up being?

Mine was in the mid 20's like 26 I think.. But im not sure why mines not as high as they would like it.

I didn't understand the reason for taking the shots.. I never took them for either of my natural pregnancys.. But then Lisa explained that she was told that the supression makes your ovarys not produce any progesterone... and they have to take back over at some point..

I really hate the shots.. they hurt so bad and I can't walk or sit if they involve the nerve.. My husband started just going in halfway and that seems to be much better....

But I would have complained a lot less if I knew why i had to take them before..

Jessica.. your right! you have great attitude about whats going to happen or not happen.

I think Lisa and I are now looking at our levels and going.. "Oh crap!" LOL

At least i am.. But I only have to wait until monday for the scan! poor Lisa has to wait till May 8th I think.. ( fake bad pains.. get a scan sooner! LOL Just kidding!!)

Big hugs to everyone!!

Danielle :)

It is awesome we have such good news :D :D :D

My progesterone was very high..I think at 14DPO it was around 120 so I went cold turkey with the suppositories. It then dropped down to 80. The placenta starts producing the right hormones around 10weeks. The clinics know what they are doing so don't worry.

I am feeling so much better...no naps the past 2 days! Although I may need one today because I slept horribly last night. During my last scan doc said my uterus has already stretched to my belly....so it is not just bloating I am feeling...so I expect to be growing out of my pants soon :D :D

Hi everyone!! Hope you are all doing well. Thanks for all the input about progesterone. I am injecting 1/2 cc each night which is less than all of you but, like Traci said, I am trusting my clinic knows what they are doing. It's worked for me so far! :)

Jessica I have been thinking about you a lot. It seems you have the best possible attitude about what is going on. You are an inspiration
I really hope it all works out for the best, no matter what happens.

About my high levels - yeah they are high alright! Danielle was teasing me yesterday saying I am carrying quadruplets - lol! Truth is I know the levels can't predict anything. I have scoured the internet enough to learn that! And yes faking a stomach pain would get me an early ultrasound but I am afraid that would be bad karma or something? (I know you were only kidding about that anyway - Danielle :) ) Seriously though - you are all so lucky your clinic does your scans so soon. I will be 7 1/2 weeks when I have my first. Good news is I should definitely get to see a heartbeat. Question is, how many? lol...

And is anyone else utterly, completely exhausted? I tire out every day after lunch and I have been eating small, healthy meals. I can't get enough sleep these days!!

Ok,,,shutting up now. Have a great day :)

Lisa not too long to go until the scan :D :D I am very excited to read your news as well!!! Have you had any m/s yet? It really hit me in the 6th week. Get used to being tired...and take naps. I did not feel guilty at all..in fact on the weekend DH always joined me for the afternoon nap...he said he was very tired and I told him he had sympathy symptoms!

My mom went and bought me a whole bunch of maternity clothes yesterday...she is in the US and baby/maternity stuff in Germany is SOO outrageously expensive...plus she likes having 'projects'. This AM I have absolutely no symptoms - so of course I am now worrying.

Anyone else still taking baby aspirin? I took it throughout my cycle and doc told me to keep taking it until 12week. Just curious if anyone else is still taking it.

Traci - funny you brought up the aspirin thing because I was going to ask about it myself. I started taking them with the very beginning of my cycle (a low dose - or 81 mg) per doctors instructions and they told me to keep taking it thru my first trimester too. I told my sis that yesterday (she is 9 weeks pregnant naturally) and she was like "oh aspirin is bad for pregnancy" and she scared me. But I told her my doctor told me to take it and she said "well I am sure there must be a reason". I think I will call my clinic today and ask why.

I was also going to ask them if I can do the intramuscular prog. injections in my leg or something - my rear is so sore!! Does anyone have any experience with that?

Morning sickness - well the past 2 days I have been queasy and right now, I am sitting at my desk at work and I am very nauseous. This is really the first time it has been this bad. I am exactly 6 weeks today. It's funny b/c, even though I feel sick, I am starving - lol! Can't wait to eat!

I am going to go by some maternity clothes (or at least bigger sizes) in the next week or so b/c I am going on vacation to the beach on 5/19 and need a bathing suit that conceals my bloated belly and some bigger shorts, more comfortable shoes, etc. I love shopping at Old Navy (it's big here in Ohio) and they have cute, comfortable clothes for very cheap - including maternity! I was excited when I found that out.

Ok - I have to go so I can go get something to eat out of the snack machine. I still have 2 more hours until lunch!

Lisa, my neausua started exactly on the day I hit 6 weeks too! It lasted for 3 weeks and then tappered off. I was also like you where I ate constantly. It was the one thing that helped me not feel quite so nauseaus. That also tappered off and now I'm eating more normally at 11.5 weeks.

I did my first Old Navy maternity clothes purchase around 8 weeks. You're right, it's a great place to buy clothes. We just need the weather to really warm up (I'm in MI right above you) so that we can wear the summer maternity clothes becasue no one sells winter stuff anymore.

The butt prog shots didn't bother me. I have a friend who did them in her upper leg, so you could ask about that.

So eat up, keep growing, and love those new clothes!!!

Hi girls

I can relate that my nausea started this week too! And somedays are better than others but I would rather feel nausea and not throw up which has been the case so far...I keep pretzels in my desk and munch on them when it comes on and seems to help a bit - I also burp like champ! My husband looks at me cause usually I am discreet - but some of these I just got to let out!!!

Yes - I just re-confirmed that I need new clothes b/c I just ate lunch and had to unbotton my jeans - lol!!

Krista - glad to hear from someone else that appreciates Old Navy's maternity line. I just can't see spending a bunch of money on clothes that I can only wear for a short time, which is why Old Navy is perfect.
The weather has been unseanonably warm here for springtime in Ohio. This week it cooled back down into the upper 50s/low 60s - but we broke 80 once last week! Where abouts in Michigan are you? Are you close to any of the great lakes? I vacationed up at Lake Huron in Mackinaw City once. It was beautiful there! And, I hate to ask, but are you a Wolverine fan? (it's ok - I'll still like ya if you are  ) Go bucks!

Jessica - you are probably getting queasy from all 3 of those little embies swishing around in there!! It's cute to imagine, isn't it?

Lisa, I'm in Brighton...1/2 way between Lansing and Detroit. We probably have the same weather....the past 2 weeks were great! I noticed after this "chilly" week it's going back to the high 60's next week. Yeah, a wolverines fan.

You'll love the under the belly or mid belly pants with the small elastic waistband. No buttons, no zippers...comfy as can be! No worries after eating a big lunch. After wearing them one day I decided I wouldn't go back (well, at least not for another 7 months or so).

Krista - Those pants sound exactly like what I am looking for! Can't wait to get some. My zipper has now made it down too - lol! Good thing I have a shirt on that covers it all up. :)

Traci - I know I posted to you earlier, but I wanted to let you know that I did some internet searching on baby aspirin/low-dose aspirin and studies show that it helps prevent miscarriage! So I feel great about it now!

It seems a couple of BFPs are popping up on the General Forum. We should have a few more joining in here soon.....

I had such good intentions today... I was going to clean the house.. Straighten out the closet.. put some stuff in storage.. This is what I ended up doing..

Took a nap -- Woke up -- Made lunch ( Peanut butter and jelly sandwich) 8 potato skins... Artichoke and spinich dip - and a whole glass of water.. oh and an apple...

Then I sat on the couch for an hour.. wondering what the heck i just did to myself.... So I laid on the couch with my pants below my belly... and I was still hungry!! what the heck!!

I haven't gotten a thing done... Im so lazy!!

At what point do people get bigger pants??

Danielle

Hi everyone,

sorry for butting in again, but I just wanted to post about the aspirin mentioned earlier.

I have been taking aspirin (low dose 100mg) too, and will continue to do so until the end of my 2nd tri. This is because I have had unexplained miscarriages as well as auto-immune conditions, so the aspirin thins the blood, preventing clots behind the placenta and therefore avoiding one cause of m/cs. However, aspirin should not be taken in the 3rd tri as, in the event of premature labour, it causes increased bleeding and also could affect the baby's heart, possibly leading to stillbirth.

So you should take the low dose aspirin, but only in the 1st and 2nd tri, and only if advised by your doc. Normal (adult dose) aspirin is a big no-no.

So there, hope that explains it a bit...

Cheddar and grapefruit got me through the morning sickness btw, just in case you are searching around for alternatives!!

All the best,
Caroline xx
