Well Hello Dear Ladies
Sorry have been out of action but have been laid in bed as Zita says. This ought to be a quick post as should still be lying down today but could not wait to hear the news any longer. Thanks for all your support. It really means a lot to me.
First thing I did was to check Brenda's news - so thrilled to see that she got a BFP.
Then went to change my ticker. When it came up as 10 days to test I nearly feel off my chair!!! Felt utterly surreal for me.
So went in Friday. Told them that I had been resting & drinking loads of water and felt sore but much less sore so they let me go ahead!!!! Main thing that they wanted to know was had I been sick or dizzy?I was so happy as you will all understand. Then she told us of 13 eggs that 10 had fertilised with 2 been defective. I was well chuffed to get 8. dh was feeling pretty happy with himself too. Of the 8, they told us that 7 were good quality & 4 cell (initally disappointed but then when I remembered that I was on 48 hour transfer realised that was pretty good - it is just that many of you have the transfer at Day 3 or Day 5). Plus just one average 3 cell. Could not stop grinning.
Put back procedure was ok. Hurt a bit as still sore but only lasted like 5 mins. dh hates hospitals but he came in with me. Very brave. They had a picture of the Maldives on the ceiling and we have been there together which was sweet. I kept telling dh not to look and he kept saying - you must be joking - I am just keeping my eyes firmly on your face! We of course has 2 of the good 4 cells put back. They encouraged us to get all the other 6 frozen. So of course we did. I feel so very very lucky to have come this far in the process and at my age to have a good number of eggs that fertilised.
Have been upstairs in bed since Friday lunchtime. Only sitting up to eat and getting up to go to the loo. Watched loads of videos and just scanning magazines. dh has been really good - cooking for us (he is a rubbish cook but he has been trying really hard!!!!) - and then coming to eat with me in our bedroom. Have been pretty sore but it is easing today and my tummy feels like it is going back to a more normal size.
Laptop is downstairs so came down this morning but will shortly go back upstairs and continue to lie down. Given the 3 day weekend in the UK, it is good to make the most of it & give myself the best chance that I can. Have really been thinking of resting & feeling better so far rather than testing. Not sure how much longer that will last.
Have read all your posts. It sounds like most of you are progressing well which is terrific news.
Not long to your test Gail. Will be thinking of you & crossing my fingers. Going to stay on this thread where I 'know' everyone but may just drop my date onto the May test thread you set up as well.
Prissy - cannot believe that you did a pee stick. Your a nurse!! You should know better!!

However, it does sound encouraging and I am sure that I will succumb. Have my fingers crossed for you. Not long to go now at all.
lyceemangin -

- the girls on here are totally fantastic. I would have gone mental over the last month had I not been able to post on here. I feel in a bubble from the outside world and people going through this process are really the only people that know what it is like. I felt very bloated after Egg Collection. Rest, drink lots of water and lots of sports drinks. Good Luck for Egg Transfer.
Wendy - Think 300ml is average for stimmies. Think low is 150 and high is 450. They will have figured it out based on your own levels. Try not to worry. Things move faster when you are on stimmies.
Em - story about your dh made me laugh so much that my tummy hurt!!! It is hard for them to know what is going on and what they should do. I sat down with my dh before we went to both EC and ET to let him know what was happening/numbers/what to expect. We find out so much on here. He had no clue what good & bad numbers where - why would he!? Cannot believe that you are on 2ww already that is amazing
Cyot - hope scan goes well for you
Sally - hope that you have a safe drive to the UK & that the follies get growing. Everything that I have read says that they can grow in spurts.
Dania - very best of luck for ER tomorrow. Let's hope that after the sore tummy that you have lots of eggs inside all those follies. Drink loads of water & sports drinks afterwards to clear your system out
Lucybucy - may be they just want to be extra sure so check bloods everyday - don't worry - all our clinics have slightly different protocols
Lucy - what news of your scan hun? Have my fingers crossed that folly fairy is in action.
Vessi - sorry to hear about the cyst. So annoying but at least they are allowing you to proceed. Let's hope that it disappears
That is all for me. Can feel myself getting tired so know that I would be best to go & lie down.
Positive vibes

and baby dust to everyone. We can do this!
