Hi everybody, I just got my first call last night, We're so excited, we hope our 2nd call is also possitive next week. We've been tring for over 4 years and finally we're 12 days pregnant. Do you count from the egg transfer day or the egg retrival day?
Love Dottie
As of June 6th, I'm 8 weeks, first scan yesterday. Triplets. Scarred out of mind!!

Dottie,

You actually count from your LMP (last menstrual period) - so more than likely you are actually considered to be 4-5 weeks pregnant

Thanks Girls for all your warm wishes...

Sitting back and watching how things will proceed from this point...My dr's are overly concerned with my previous complication (incompetant cervix) about me carrying triplets.....

Sue, yes I'm "showing". Probably because of twins my belly is bigger than normal. Strangers wouldn't know I'm pregnant, but everyone who knows me can see my belly sticking out. I'm 100% maternity clothes now. I love it!!! Bring on the big belly! I'm finally calming down and not worrying so much, which is a nice feeling. Can't wait to hear how your scan went today.

Welcome, Dottie! And congratulations. Jessica is right....you would be 4-5 weeks pregnant now (sounds better than just 12 days, huh?).

:P Yes it sounds alot better than 12 days. I have a strong feeling that all 3 embryos took. I won't know for awhile yet, but I'm a little nervous about being able to carry 3.

Jamato - :) I'm so happy and thankful that everythings okay...Also when I had my last U/S the Dr told me that if I had an incompetent cervix then they would stitch my cervix closed, not sure if your Dr have talked to you about that. I had a LEEP done 5/2002 to remove pre-cancerous cells after I delivered my precious daughter (now 4) However, the Dr that did the surgery only cut above the cancerous parts and left my cervix in great shape. I know that you probably have not had this procedure, however it is one that could lead to and incompetent cervix. I will continue to pray for everyone on the board and a special prayer for you and yor little beanies....

Congrats

Hi Everyone..

Jessica - wow! 3 little beanies.....that's 3 times the fun!!! Congratulations, and I repeat everyone else...take it easy & keep your feet up!

My Nuchal scan went super. It is just so cute to see the little munchkin playing about. I can't get over how much I felt like I was seeing my baby for the first time - I think it felt real for the first time my whole pregnancy! I don't have another scan now until 20 weeks. I think we are going to find out the sex - none of my friends did & they all say not to, but I just don't think I could contain myself... And DH wants to know too (oh yes, the muchkin does have a dad!). Is everyone going to find out the sex? (I assume all the multiples will!!!!).

Sue - how did your scan go???

Bella.

Bella - Great news on your scan, it sounds fab.

Mine was not very clear, firstly bladder too full and then not enough but 'bubble' is still going strong they said it was approximately 13 weeks which is about right, so i am relieved a little!!! I am in 2 minds about finding out the sex of the baby, if we do i don't want to tell everyone (keep them guessing), but i don't know if we could contain ourselves. Next scan is at about 20 weeks.

Dottie - Congratulations, hoping all continues to go smoothly.

KristiA - Your belly sounds so cute!!!!! I have got a big belly but its not a baby belly, so i don't know if i will look much different even at 6 months!!!! hoping i do, i can't wait, like you i am starting to relax a little, can't wait to get past the 20 weeks mark (still wishing my life away)

Cla - how are you doing? Not long until your next scan, good luck

must dash

love

Bella & Sue - yes, I'm going to find out the sex. For some reason I can't wait! I have my next scan at 16.5 weeks. They say you can "start" to tell the sex around weeks 16. But with my luck it will still be alittle early. Which means I have to beg for another scan at about 20 weeks.

Bella, glad to hear you enjoyed the nuchal scan! I thought it was so fun too. I was amazed how much they move around at that time. I can't wait to actually feel them too.

Ahart, how's the bed rest going? What type of bed rest? Like you can't leave the house? Or like you can't leave the bed, literally?

Welcome, and congrats, Sammylou!

ahart,

Actually I am quite aware after the loss of my DS at 20 weeks....I had laser surgery on my cervix at 19 for precancer cells and a cone shaped biopsy and since that was 12 years ago - I am sure that procedures have come a long way....So we will defenitely be doing the cerclage around 12 weeks - this is why the risk of carrying triplets is so great and we may faced with hard decisions....

We do want to find out the sex when the time comes, We don't care what it/they are just as long as it/they are healthy but it will make shopping so much easier.

Hi everyone. I had my scan May 8 and all looks great. My RE released me back to my regular OB/GYN - so that is a good sign. My first appt. with her is scheduled for 6/14. Seems like forever - but I guess I am just a "regular" pregnant woman now - I'm certainly not complaining!

Jessica I am praying for you and your 3 little beanies. I am glad they are all healthy.

Everyone else - glad to hear about all the successful scans since I last posted. Things are looking great!

Hi to the new girls - and a big CONGRATS on your BFPs!! It's the best feeling, isn't it?

Regarding: the bellies. Well I am 8 weeks today and I have definitely put on weight. I have always been a person with a slow metabolism and i have had to eat very healthy and work out 4-5 times a week to maintain a size 8 figure. Well I was told not to work out during the stim. phase of my meds, and then told to only walk or do yoga during my pregnancy. That is fine - though my body is showing some differences already. All of my pants were so tight - I went shopping yesterday and bought some size 12s - they fit great! I also bought some maternity shorts and capris at Old Navy - I swear they were the most comfortable things i have ever put on!!! lol... I feel silly buying maternity clothes at 8 weeks - but I have outgrown most of my regular clothes. My belly has been swollen since my egg retrieval. Anyone else have similar experience? My skinny little sister is 11 1/2 weeks with her second child and you can't even tell! She got the fast metabolism in the family - lucky girl!

Hi All - today I am officially in the 2. trimester! I can't believe it. I had another check with doc yesterday and scan. Everything looks great..wow she (we say she out of gut feeling) has really grown! HB is perfect and lots of movement...legs stretching, arms waving, thumb in and out of mouth. She has super long legs already (I am 5'10'' and was a VERY long, skinny baby..so she may be taking after me :D ..hopefully she has DH's personality  ). We are right on schedule with growth...they are now taking 4 measurements which are then calculated into the overall growth...when she was taking 2 of the measurements they were coming up as 13 weeks! I was starting to get a little scared about the size of the baby. We also saw the nose bone which is also a relief.

I have to admit I was very nervous going into this scan...my symptoms have disappeared and I actually feel great...so of course my mind is thinking the worst. I also don't have a bump at all..still abit rounder but nothing. I am still in normal clothes. I wish I had more to show for  . Doc said alot of woman don't show until 20th week...so I guess I may be one of them.

Bella - great news on the NT scan!

Lisa - congrats on graduating!

Kristi - I am definitely finding out the sex. But my doc is very conservative and said she won't tell me until she knows for sure.

Welcome and huge congrats SammyLou and Dottie.
