Hi all,
First of all, my greatest condolences Natalie. You and your DH must have incredible strength and such a relationship to have made it this far. I hope you stay with us on this board. I hope the drs can get to the bottom of what's going wrong.
Sally - I am so sorry for your BFN, we don't seem to be having much luck on this thread do we? Sending a big warm hug your way.
Vess - many many congratulations! Well done chick. You will have to explain to me what all those dp/dt numbers mean...
Sofia - I read on my paperwork that my E2 levels were about 36,000 in the morning and about 17,000 on my second blood test in the afternoon. Surely this can't be right as these numbers seem a bit ridiculous to me - one too many zeros?. Mind you, it would explain the concerned look on everybody's faces... How many embryos did you have transferred, what did you decide to do in the end?
LauraLou - my buddy, glad to know your ET went well, how you feeling now?
Sarah - your EC sounds horrendous, you must be brave to have gone through it without screaming!
Em - my DH has gone away too - its horrible isn't it? He has to go away so he can earn more and then we can save for future IVF/babies (hope it's the latter). Like you say, it seems wrong for DHs to be away while we're supposed to be making babies... The Orange mobile network appears to have gone down so I can't even send him a text!
Hi Carolyn, your BFN isn't that far away so I'm not surprised you're still tearful. It must be really difficult if people at work don't know about it. I hope your birthday will serve as some sort of landmark so that you can start getting excited about your next go... not sure if that makes sense?
Hi Wendy - I'm wondering whether to test the day before my test date too. Only because I'll be on my own on the test day so it might make it easier to deal with if I'm at home. Not sure if any of my posting has any logical sense at all!
Jackoa21 - very strange about your 2 eggs, but that really is all you need to make a baby. Give us an update when you hear today, my fingers are crossed for you.
Prissy - really awful news about your friend, I'm so sorry. On a lighter note - congrats on the twins, amazing!
I've had two blastocysts transferred on Monday and I found the experience really quite moving, I couldn't believe that it was finally happening. They dimmed the lights for us so that we new when the dr was transferring the embryos and he took about 10 minutes doing it which was reassuring. I didn't get any information on grading, just a description - one was so big it was ready to burst it's shell (yay!) and the other was your bog-standard blasto. When I asked the nurse afterwards about dos and don'ts she said just to do as little as possible! She said that 95% of their patients stay off work until the test date so I decided to do that since I can take it as sick leave.
I'm now on baby aspirin, heparin injections and continuing with progesterone pessaries - yuk. The next day the clinic called to say one more embie had made it through to blasto stage (3 out of 15!) so we have had it frozen - yay!
The sad news is that DH left for Singapore last night (could he BE in further away?) and he'll be away until 4th July (5 weeks). Feeling sad that he won't be here for test date. His sister offered to go with me, which was kind but as we're not that close I think I would prefer to be on my own. I'll be needing you all even more over next 5 weeks...
