Hi Langton,
It is perfectly normal for you to start having cravings, they usually come in the beginning of the first trimester, the pains that you are feeling in your stomach are perfectly normal, it is because your uterius is starting to stretch, I'm going on my 10th week and my boobs are still killing me expecially in the morning. I have to wear a bra all the time now, even at night when I sleep, WOW, does it help alot. you might want to consider this, it's suppose to also help to keep them from sagging after child birth. Congrats on your pregnancy, when is your first scan date?

Post by kdc2006 »

hi girls....was going to wait until my 1st scan to post here but i thought ...why wait??? Image i got my BFP on the 11th of june...though i had a feeling by the 7th that i could be pregnant as boobs were starting to hurt.....

i love all the good news here... it makes me smile and makes me all excited..... well not much i can say until scan day which is the 28th june (partner's birthday)....i think the morning sickness may be starting... i seem to heave at certain smells....ie...bacon cooking Image ....im a coffee drinker and now the smell has put me off....im still quite bloated from the EC which was may 25th.....infact i would say its worse because my normal sized 10 jeans dont fit....i had to buy a few pair of jogging bottoms size 12...and even they are a bit tight.... i had 2 embryos placed back and keep wondering if both have took as my bloated belly seems more shaped.....im still getting the odd crampy pain...nothing major though im still running to the toilet everytime to check all is ok...

anyway take care ladies....especially you dottie......3 babies!!!! thats some hat trick.....well done....

Hi girls,

Can I join you from time to time? I don't really feel I belong anywhere :( but this site has been a lifesaver to me in the past few years and I miss the sharing of facts, worries and so on. I'm all over the place at the moment and feeling sorry for myself, so if you don't mind, I will pop in...

I hope you are all well and looking after yourselves.

Thanks Dottie. Our story is a miracle, but then all babies are. It's nice that this one will be as special for different reasons to Sam. It took us many weeks to believe it, I mean 9 years it took - 7 of waiting for Sam, and 2 after for this!, but once the same old problems set in - reality gave us a check! We kept saying to the doctor - 'but how did it happen?' LOL

Wow, triplets. Exciting and scary!!! How far on are you? Have you a bump?

This is such a nice thread - it's good to hear all the excitement in everyone's posts.

Take care

I'm 10 weeks as of yesterday, I have a bump, but most of it is from the shots that I had to take, I think, my next doc appointment is this Thursday. I have to finish getting ready for work so I'm not late, I'll talk to you later.

hello there!
I am a little scared to join this thread as I only got my BFP 6 days ago but I see some of my other buddies inching over...!!!

I have a question as I am going slightly crazy and becoming paranoid. I feel like AF is coming all the time and visiting the loo all the time to check! Did any of you ever feel like this?

have loved reading about your experiences
my scan is next week and will keep you posted
many thanks
baby dust all around
love

Kristin,

we all get like that!! Nobody tells you that one two week wait follows another...Most of us are spastic until we see that first ultrasound and see that little heart beating away!!! The AF cramps are normal, your uterus is already stretching to prepare for a quickly growing baby and the hormones that are relaxing your muscles can also trigger these reactions....I still check the paper - and I am 14 weeks

Don't worry Kristin, it's perfectly normal and you may feel like that for some time. I'm always amazed with those people that feel nothing - my friend didn't find out she was pregnant until 16 weeks the first time! Not been my experience that's for sure

Hope the scan goes well

Hi girls! Haven't posted in a week or so. I am 13 weeks 5 days today - still not sure if I should move over to the second tri. thread. I turned the big 3-1 yesterday. Was a great b-day. DH and I took day off work and enjoyed the sunshine out on our boat.

I love reading your posts - most of you are weeks behind me and I can relate to every single thing you post! I had sore boobs, and serious AF cramps for awhile - I still get them occasionally. I even had bright red bleeding at one point the scared me and got me if for an emergency ultrasound! I have gained 13 pounds since January - and most of it was put on when I was doing the IVF meds. My belly was so swollen at first that I also thought I was having twins. I now think it was from the EC because my swelling went down around the last week in May. Plus I found out that it's just one baby. Now I am getting a real bump and I just love it. My DH thinks it's so cute and he kisses it all of the time. My size 8 pants are ancient history! today I am wearing a pair of size 12s and I have a rubber band holding the button! Plus I swear my butt has doubled in size - lol!

Zoe - wow what a miracle!! If you don't mind my asking - what was your reason for infertility? I bet you and your DH are ecstatic!!! :)

Hi Lisa,

We must be due around about the same time!

Of course I don't mind you asking!! :D We were always put in the category of 'unexplained'. However, my FSH when we first started this ride was 10.3 and I've never really produced many follicles despite the highest drugs dose. The most eggs ever retreived at once was 3, but the other two times it was only 2. The conclusion - poor egg reserve. As the consultant once very non tactfully put - it's like going to the bank machine and having no money to withdraw...

I had my FSH taken in Feb again. Never went for the results at the time as I was too scared what 4 years would have done...I found out recently it was 9.3. My mum is convinced it down to better eating habits and eating more red meat... us - we're still just in shock and hoping the spotting stops and all will be ok.

Had a look at the 2nd trimester posts but they seems further on than just starting 2nd...

Take care

Zoe - I just think it is wonderful that you got pregnant naturally!! I have friend who took 9 yrs to conceive her first child (she was unexplained too), then decided to try for #2 and realized she was already pregnant! Seems like once she stopped worrying about it and accepted that she would need to go through a lot to get pregnant - it just happened! How exciting for you! :)

I have one blocked tube and one open - with only a 10% chance of conceiving from my one open tube since it is damaged. My DH and I have decided not to use any kind of birth control after this baby is born. My mom swears I will get pregnant naturally if I don't use birth control but I think she is crazy! If it does happen - that would be great!

Lisa,

LOL, after we had Sam, the dr gave me the big 6 week conception talk. I just laughed and said what for (apart from the obvious, sex at 6 wk post birth was NOT on my mind). LOL.

A 10% chance is much better than none at all  and you never know, this one may pave the way for you. I'd be on your side though and just go for it.

There are so many emotions with this one. Touch wood, all goes well and we can start really living our lives. For nine years, we have been consumed with babies and getting them, saving for them, up and downs... a ride I wouldn't change as we got Sam, and hopefully this one. But, after that, it's time to get off and enjoy real reality Does that make ANY sense?

Im off work today and Steve is working away, so Im hooked on this site again... It's all like deja vu!!!
