Hi Souris,

I'm pretty sure it will be our last go, although we have 3 viials of frozen sperm left, so officially we can go 3 more times before we would have to do another op. Luckily from a financial point of view there is no issue but I feel sometimes that I should know when enough is enough. I feel if after 4 goes nothing happens, then someone upstairs (beyond the clouds) is definitely telling me something. There's always a very small chance I could change my mind but I very much doubt it.

I do know what you mean about wishing you could get more eggs. I felt like that too sometimes. But its the quality not quantity you need anyway. The average in the UK is 5-12 eggs. Anything above that is a bonus. I heard this statistic on a program last night called Test Tube Babies on Discover Health & Leisure.

Hope you are well. Who knows we might be cycling together.

Hey girlies!
Where are the August buddies??

Yeah Lisa, I understand what you mean. If we could, Dh and I would go straight into adoption. But it is not possible for now as I am too young. So i am gonna stick to IVF (well if we get some sperm from Dh) !

Hope you are ok

Hi girls,

Hope you don't mind me joining this thread, I'm hopefully due to be starting/middle of my second IVF treatment at a new clinic sometime in August. I have a consultation on July 5th to find out when we start etc - here's hoping its a good month! :D

Am not looking forward to it, once you've been through it once it kind of loses its appeal if you know what I mean? If it works though then it will be worth it.

Dh and i have just had long chat about it all, the money side is scarey so this must work other wise, after 5 cycles thats it, no more money and to be honest even 5 is tight, but thats the issue, we want to be parents so must we pay, coz we have too!!!

everythings cool, though so lets hope it works this month huh???

Kate & Souris, its great to be cycling with old buddies. x xx

Hi Ladies,

Well i made it to England, eventually!!!!

My toe is getting better.

I started my lupron on the 27th and was hoping AF would have arrived by now, the Dr said i should have got it today, but guess what as per usual when you want it to arrive it never does. :x :x I got a few twinges so hopefully by tomorrow morning it will be here. If AF had arrived, i would have started my Estadiol Valerate jabs tonight, but i've been saved a jab now i will start it Friday.

I haven't had any hot flashes with the lupron, but the weather over here is so hot i wouldn't be able to tell the difference. 8) 8)

Has anyone had anxiety attacks, caused by the Lupron :?: :?:

Hope all is going well for you all and everything is on track.

Happy 4th of July to all you Americans.

Take Care
Hugs

What's great is DH says we can go again after this one if need be...at least it takes the pressure off.

I'm off on holidays until next Monday but dying to see what you have all been uo to when I get back.

Lots of PMA and baby dust coming our way...now it's our turn..

Hi Girls,

Just thought I'd up date you as I had my consultation at my new clinic yesterday. It went really well, it was so much nicer than my last place (probably because this one is private). I don't mean to be nasty about the NHS, as they do such a great job, but they must have to see so many people it must be like a conveyor belt. As we are paying for this one it really feels like we are the only ones there.

Anyway, I hopefully will start down regging around the 3rd of August, as long as AF behaves herself! They want me to start on a slightly higher dosage this time to get a few more eggs so that they can try to get some to blastocyst stage. They sounded confident that this would happen and they said that if they get to blastocyst stage there is a high chance of pregnancy! :D So, I feel really positive at the moment.

Its great to be cycling with some old buddies - Nicki its great that the donor nightmare has been sorted out. Bring on the BFP for us both!!

Hi to everyone else, hope things are all ok for you all

Lisa, enjoy your holidays! That is a great news that you can have another go if... you dont need the added pressure of THIS IS MY LAST CHANCE. So I am happy for you!

Nimble, Rachel, where are you girls?

Kate, it is great you feel good about your clinic. The private clinics definitely takes more time to talk and explain things. I know that with my new (not private) clinic, I am always scared or embarassed to call because they are soooo busy I dont want to disturb them with my "stupids" questions!

Ok guys, got loads to do before I go home on MOnday, so speak later

Hi Ladies,

Hope is all going well with you all and all is on track.

I am getting a bit worried AF still hasn't arrived and im on day 10 of lupron and they wanted me to start the estrodiol jabs on Tuesday, but now it's tomorrow, well that's if AF rears her ugly head.

Cross your fingers for me in the hope that it arrives today please!!!!!!!!!

Well got to go being shouted at to get off comp, going to see Pirates of the Carribean in a minute.

Hugs

Hey girls!

Just a suggestion, but why dont we join the August to the September thread?

Aunti Deb just started a September thread, and the more the merrier (spelling?) We are not many in August and we might be a bit slow on the posts because of the holidays... And most of us will be august and september buddies as our cycles takes a long time!!

What do you think? Lisa, I hope you dont mind me suggesting this? (by the way, hope u are having a good time!)

Ok girls, let me know what you think. I will be posting on both threads!

Hi Ladies,

I'm having a great time visiting all my family and friends, i can't believe the 2 weeks is almost up and we fly home again on Tuesday. It's all gone so fast and also taken my mind off the IVF, apart from the jabs.

I'm glad to read that all is going so well for you all, and are on track.

I will have to catch up properly when i get back home.

Well AF finally arrived 3 days late and my DH gave me my first Estrodiol Valerate jab on Friday, he done a fantastic job, he was so nervous, and scared that he would hurt me, but he didn't, he done it perfectly. I'M SO PROUD OF HIM.

I have my US Thursday, and fingers crossed it will all be ok for the transfer on the 20th.

Take Care
