Hi Walsh~~

Im sorry for your scare...but from what i have heard and been told by my DR is that brown blood is old blood and nothing to worry about unless its accompanied with cramping... second the heartbeat levels fluctuate is what i was told, but the numbers of the HB are still in the higher range so, but go see your obgyn earlier if you can just to calm yourself, i know how difficult this could be .... but try to stay off your feet and just relax for a while... wishing you so much luck... i hope the spotting stop soon!

Thanks for the thoughts - you are a love. I probably sound worse than I am!! Paranoia is a wonderful (?!) thing but the last 16 weeks have felt like an eternity. I'm stressing much more than I did the last time and am panicking about going to the midwife on Friday as it's the first heartbeat hearing check and I'm worreid about not hearing it.... Spotting comes and goes and I feel like things are going to drop big time - I can't remember this last time - LOL. Mind you, I'm either getting very fat or defibatelt got a bump...

Hi girls!

Just a quick message to Walsh. At my Nuchal Fold scan (12 weeks) they recorded the heartbeat at 158. At my last m/w appointment she recorded it at 138. There was about 9 weeks in between these recordings, but shows that yes, the heartbeat does fluctuate!!!
Try and follow your docs lead - if they aren't worried then you shouldn't (try!) to be. Yes I know - easier said than done!

For Walsh,

I'm with Cla - as sacry as it is, brown blood is 'good' as it's old. It seems to be very common for any sort of bleeding from what I know, so just take it easy and stay positive. The doctors really wouldn't take chances so let that be your focus... - easy to say I know.

Just think of what's going on in there

hi walsh ...oh darlin I know that has to be scary ...not sure if this will help but ive had "brown discharge/blood" very frequently and as was previous stated my ob advised that it is blood that has been stagnent for awhile. from what ive read the babys heartbeat fluctuates for so many reasons I know hearing the same thing over and over isnt to much solace but most of what ive read has been sooooo positive ..i hope you are feeling better and ill be crossing all bodyparts 4 you !!! that should be a sight...take care ---Kell

hi all, sorry i was missing from action for a while due to my terrible vomiting and sickness.
Had my scan yesterday and saw 3 heartbeats, I was happy that there were heart beats but honestly a bit sad as i did not expect triplets. DH and me were very queit the whole of yesterday. I told him i m scared to carry 3 and very worried abt the risks involved, but we cant do anything. i m glad i m pregnant but the excitement seems to have faded a bit now! hope i will learnt to accept the fact and start to enjoy my pregnancy.

I m having terrible vomiting, i throw up everything i eat. I also have bad heartburn and tiredness. I dont know anything abt triplets, care to share some info with me?

Is there anymore buddies out there with triplets??

Hi Chel,

Sorry to hear that you've been so sick - what a nightmare that must be. But no wonder - 3 - wow! I bet you are in shock. It must be scary to think about it, but things will be fine. I find it cary even thinking about 2 at a time

My HCG was also very high when it was checked at about 6 weeks - (miraculous natural preg so no 14 dpt hcg level to compare this time). EPU took me in to check 'what was in there' as I was spotting and I was very nervous in case there was more than 1, and somewhat sorry for my dh's crestfallen face when we were told there was one. I have to say I was relieved this time, butsomewhat sad the last time I was pregnant when they suggested I could be carrying twins.

Anyway, I hope you start to feel better soon. I'm sure that once you've had a few days to get over the shock then you'll be floating with delight

It may be daunting, but very exciting. Just think, they'll b able to keep themselves amused!!!!

hey guys..hi chel i know that feeling is totally overwhelming the thought of 3 babies !!!

that seems like a huge curse and blessing...when i was pregnant before we had the same worry i was carrying twins very sick and completly floored when they told me... i felt blessed but aprehensive to say the least. we had found out very early we where carrying at least 2 because i was bleeding i remember thinking how selfish i was to feel upset and worried but just know god never gives you more than you can handle and right now your helath is the most important ...it WILL ABSOLUTLY all come together and im sure you are exhausted and sick of throwing up so be easy on yourself and take one day at at a time ..im with zoe theyll be able to keep each other and daddy

very busy!!!---hey zoe all my best!!! im off to my scan this am fingers crossed that all goes ok ---

Congrats on your triplets!!!!!! I'm sorry that you are so sick. I'm 6.5 weeks pregnant and have not had morning sickness yet. I sure hope that is one pregnancy symptom that I do not get. I have my first scan this Friday morning. I am very anxious to see the embryo and the heartbeat.

hello there ladies!

I have finally gathered up the courage to post here and to slowly start to accept I am actually in my first trimester and try and be positive about the outcome of all of this! I had my second scan today and the little thing is still there, they dated it at 7w4d and my due date is Feb 20th!!!! Amazing! It had a head and 4 limbs and a little spine and all!!!!

It is great to read about how you are all doing! Chel I am totally excited you have 3 in there!!! Fantastic!!! I am baffled by just one in me so I can imagine it is quite scary but we will be following you closely!!! And the rest of you with multiples, keep yourselves well! I can't imagine what the symptoms must be like for you. I have terrible nausea that only goes away if I force myself to eat something bland (and well mainly tomatoes and cheese!!!). I hate eating when I feel so sick!!!! And I have discovered the joys of a few licorice sweets every day and that keeps me happily going to the loo!!!!

Anyway, my clinic has now discharged me to 'usual' care by my GP etc... I couldn't belive I wouldn't go there again!!!!! Anyway, now I suppose I just have to accept that I am normal!!!!

Congrats Chel.....I originally started out with 3 sacs, however the third one did not have anything in it....I will say that it's alot....although the third sac did not have anything in it..it still pulled from me and was getting bigger....I had sickness very bad and was hospitalized for 4 days with severe dehydration..check out the double trouble forum, around July 10, there's some info that may help you..I also took zofran for a while also....

Kristin,

Congrats on your 2nd scan. You are exactly 1 week ahead of me. I am having my first scan this Friday. I'm a little anxious! I just hope all is well. I did another HPT last weekend and it was a very dark + !!! I guess I just needed reassurance that I am still pregnant.

Friday is not tooooo far away now just a few more dreaded days... I remember i did a HPT as well before my scan...i think its so normal considering we wait so long for some reassurance...
