Oh forgot to ask you something. I am starting downregg injection soon. It is written on the box that you can do them under the skin or in the muscle (sorry but I dont know the english terms). I will do mine under the skin, in my tummy. But do you have to push the needle straight in or tilt it to a certain angle?? And I have hear that you should not go too near the belly button, so how far should I do them??
Thanks for any help!

Well we are sorry to say it was a BFN for us...............
We are very upset this time, we really were hoping this would be our time.
Dr says there is no reason he can tell us why it didn't work. It could be genetics with the embryos.
We have one chance left as we are running out of embryos. We are going to take a couple of months break and hopefully do a FET in November.
Thank you all for your best wishes, you are an amazing bunch of people, you have helped me no end to get through all this, and i know you will be here to suport me in the future.
Good luck to you all, with testing, transfers, retrivals and anything else you are going through at the moment.
Hugs Rachel OXO

Rachel, sorry for your news. I know it must be incredibly difficult but I'm glad to see that you are going to give it another go.
I am not so good today. Day 6 of stims (taking Folistim & Menopur) and this morning's Menopur hurt bad. I nearly cried. I had blood drawn last Friday, Monday, Wednesday...slow and steady they say. Blood and u/s again on Saturday morning. I'm concerned and don't know why...afraid that things are not going well. How long do most people stim prior to EC? I don't have bruising and haven't had much discomfort from the injections but they become increasing more difficult for me to do (probably more emotional than anything). Today I feel 'full' in the abdomen, a bit uncomfortable. I could cry at any minute, which I have only done once since starting the meds. I feel alone all of a sudden, again not sure why. I think it is all beginning to wear on me...DD's 10th birthday in two weeks, DH college graduation this Saturday (1 hour after my appointment, of course), school starting for them both, work kicking my butt...it is all too much. I am trying to stay positive but that Menopur about sent me over the edge this morning.
I know it's just a 'thing' and am sure that it's the meds. I guess the full feeling in my abdomen is good because that means it's all happening in there.
Thanks to you all for 'listening'. NO ONE understands it but you, not even DH as much as he tries. I am so thankful to be able to share this journey with ladies who know and care.
Best wishes to all of you this week. Keep it up, we are almost there!

Not to worry, I had the same exact reaction to the menopur and the bloating. Iwas able to keep my emotions in check but then just lost it. It is okay to have a meltdown, it actually makes you stronger afterwards.
I thought Menopur was the WOST part of the whole process. It really hurt and got tiring doing all the injections along with that hell one. There is something in the solution that makes it burn so it is not in your head. Remember to ice up to numb. I also breathed out (not in and out but just out, in a puffing motion) and it drowned out everything and made it tolerable. Good news is that I thought everything was easy compared to the menupur which makes the later part of the process easy. I only had to do the shot for 8 days (then you get a shot free day)
As far as bloating is.......Good sign, that means many eggs are forming. better to be bloated than not. Make sure you get some rest and if you need day off of work, TAKE IT. Cave in to your emotions, easier than fighting and then you will regroup. Ultra sounds are easy, should not impact your DH graduation. Enjoy the events.

I always do my injection in my tummy, anywhere below belly button. While pinching the skin with your left hand, tap the area with the right and insert the needle directly in (no angles). That way you won't draw any blood either. It never hurts me.
I started stimming yesterday. I'm having some mild headaches and a little dizziness but very tired this time. I'm feeling it more. Nurse thinks this is good. Bcoz I had good readings at beginning, I'm hopefully going to stand better chance getting more eggs. I will have to wait and see, it can all change at any time.
Hey Souris, after what happened to you and I the last time, I think we deserve it to go right for us this time.

I am new to the group and going through my first IVF cycle. The ET is scheduled for the 12th. A pregnancy test is supposed to be on the 26th.
We have been trying to get pregnant since my daughter was 4 months old. It took two years and fertility meds to conceive her. I have diminished ovarian reserve due to endometriosis damage. So, my DR felt this was the best option.
We had a miscarriage this past February at 10 weeks. It was devistating to say the least. So, we are hoping and praying this IVF works. These boards have been so encouraging and helpful. Thanks to everyone.
