Well ladies, the time has come! Today's appointment shows that my body is ready! No more Lupron, Menopur, or Follistim! I have 10 good follies and am scheduled for EC Wednesday morning and will be taking the Ovidrel tonight!!!
I can not believe the time has come but I am so excited. I will check in with you on Wednesday after I feel rested.
Pray for me as I will do the same for all of you. Good luck to each of you as you make your way through this week...

Dione - Hope everything went well, with the retrival and your not in too much pain... I'm praying that they get lots of healthy eggs and they all fertilise...

Necole - Good luck on Friday, I hope it all goes well and they collect lots of healthy eggs that fertilise.

Wannabe - It's all creeping up fast on you now, won't be long before you are on your 2ww and telling us you have a strong BFP.

Vicki - It sounds like all is going well, everyone does their jabs in different places, i found it better in my belly anywhere below the belly button.
When it comes to the jabs in the butt, i'd get DH to practice on an orange first. My DH surprised me and done the jabs wonderfully, they are nowhere as bad as you think they will be. Oh and have a face cloth ready for after, as hot as you can handle it, and massage the muscle you have jabbed, it will ease the ache.

Paula - How you doing hun??

Pat - Not long to go now, hold in there just a few more sleeps.

Sorry if i've missed anyone, good luck to you all...

Take Care

Thanks to you all for the warm wishes and prayers!
The EC went well. They were able to get 12 eggs which was more than expected. They even said the sperm looked good and there were no dead ones, which was a huge surprise. All looked good for ICSI!
We will be eagerly awaiting tomorrow's phone call for the report. ET Saturday or Monday!

Okay, today is a bad day. I am not sure why. I do know I slept horrible but I have been tearful all day. I was sooooo mean to my DH last night and he is nothing but great to me.

I am testing tomorrow although they probably are not going to give me the results. My clinic waits until the second test but they said they might tell me if it is an obvious answer. I have been SOOOO calm through this whole process and have envisioned both the negative result as well as the positive to mentally prepare myself. Now that it is here, all my calmness is gone.

I almost don't want to know. I cry everytime I think about going in for blood and this might not even be the day. I am not sure what to do to cheer myself up or calm me down. I usually take a bath or drink wine and I am not allowed to do either.

I am sure some of you have gone through this but I can't help feeling freaked. I am not good when I am not in control (character flaw) and this is killing me!!!

Blues upon blues

Dione,

Congratulations on the 12 eggs. That's brilliant news. Dying to hear how many fertilised for you. Best of luck and we are keeping our fingers crossed for you and DH.

Sam,

I was like you on my previous attempts at IVF. I was so calm and chilled out up until about 2 days before and then I was freaking out with loads of what if's! I'm really sure it will go well and you get the BFP.

The news is in...out of 12, they were able to ICSI 8 and 6 of them fertilized. I was hoping for 8 (I have no idea why), but am happy to have 6. I feel so blessed.
6 is a good number, right? I'm only putting back 2 and want to freeze the rest so I really have all I need.
Transfer Saturday or Monday. Gotta stop drinking coffee tomorrow (I have said that everyday).
As for the PIO shot...I tried, oh how I tried to give it to myself this morning. For 40 minutes I iced, re-iced, counted to 3, then to 10, and no matter what, couldn't bring myself to do it. Called DH and told him to come home to do it for me. He did so good and it didn't even hurt. I had planned to do the PIO myself like the others but change of plans. DH will have to wake me at 5:30am before he leaves for work to give it to me. There is no way I can do that loooong needle myself. Hats off to those of you who do!
Thinking of you all,
Dione

OMG, OMG, OMG-- I think I got a BFP!

Like I have said in the strand before my clinic does not give results until the second blood test to make sure it rises. Today was my first BT and I called and begged ( I also brought in bagels to bribe). They told me they are very confident that I am pregnant but just to stay "cautiously optimistic" but to go out and celebrate because they are pretty darn sure!!

My numbers were either 46 or 48, I can not remember now. I still have HCJ injection fluid in me as I had to do three shots of it but they still feel my number is high. Any Input from those who know?

Anyhow, OMG, OMG, OMG. I actually have been singing and floating all day. I am waiting to tell others until Sunday but thank god for this website where i can share the happy news NOW. Keep fingers crossed.

Wow Sam - CONGRATULATIONS, I'm so pleased 4 u, you and DH must be over the moon!!!.....I just hope that i can announce a BFP this time next month!!!

Rachel...thank u so much 4 ur support you really are an inspiration to us all, you have been through so much yourself but you are still so supportive to all of the ladies on here too!!!...

I tried an inj in my tummy - the first one was awful so i moved back to my legs but they constantly felt dead so, i tried my tummy again and it was fine and i'm not left wuth bruises or 'pin pricks' afterwards!!!

I phoned the hosp for advivce the other day as i'm so clueless!!! I thought i would have AF for the whole time while down-regging but had her for 3 days only and then it just stopped dead - this is very unusual 4 me so i'm worried the my uterus will not be thin enough wen i go 4 my scan on weds??!! - She assured me its ok, but what do u think from ur experience???...I'm just so worried its not gonna work and i'm waitin 4 something 2 go wrong!!

Anyway, enough of my whinging and thanks again 2 everyone - u really all do make it easier!!

Lots of love Vickie x x x

Hi vicki

Just to let you know that I have had similar experineces with the injections. When I did IUI I found that every time I injected in my legs I got dreadful bruises. This time I did the first one in my tummy which really hurt. The second day I tried my tummy but for some reason it was really bloated and as soon as the needle touched the skin it really hurt so I had to move onto my legs. Every day I seem to get big red marks and almost blister type things where the injection was. Also I have got lots of bruises coming up so yesterday I opted back for the tummy again and it worked alright. My clinic advised me to move round the sites as much as possible to avoid the bruising and also so that when you are taking the stims as well as the down regulating drugs you have got plenty of sites to chose from.

Good luck and to Sam Well done and congratulations.

Vicki,

I had my period for three days and my lining was just fine. If you are worried you can try accupunture as it is supposed to stimulate the lining. I went only once but some people swear by it.

Your tummy one should not hurt that bad for the little shots. Are yo upinching enough? Are you icing? I also thought the tummy was easier than the leg and I also did not bruise as much. Try some distracting techniques, like talking or breathing really loud. That all helped me.

Good luck
