Your pain has probably been shared with most couples in our situation. Certainly Dory and I have become particularly sensitive and choosy what parties we go to. Those friends and colleagues who know what we're going through, in terms of treatment, are generally quite sensitive. On the other hand, those who don't know our situation frankly don't care or even make an effort to care. Of course the situation when direct family are involved puts a different spin on things.
