Hello,

Gail you look lovely. I would love to have a nice little bump! I've put my picture up but I have warned you. I'm huge and I went like this at 6 1/2 weeks! I didn't realise the name you had your photos stored on your computer came up too so I apologise for that!! lol I am proud of my bump as it definately looks like a pregnancy bump but would have preferred to look like this at 20+ weeks. Last time at 30 weeks I was measuring 54 weeks so I know I do get big!!

Sue I'm thinking of you lots. Spotting is ok. I'm only a little worried that maybe tomorrow will still be too soon for the heartbeat but I'm praying that it won't be. What time have you got to go in?

Don't know how many sheets I was before but I definately didn't look like this, I could get into a size 14 pair of jeans!

Feeling a little rough today. We went to Frankie and Benny's last night and I have been on the loo all day today. Sorry tmi??!! Bit annoyed as I've been pursuading DH for ages that we need a new car, we are booked in to view one this afternoon but I can't leave the house! :(

Is anyone else suffering with their hair? I refuse to wash it every day, I'm a every other day girl but it's not even lasting a day without becoming really greasy!

Hope you all had a great weekend.

Jo

Hi Hayley

Discharge in pregnancy is normal only if it goes green or smelly do you need to worry as then it's signs of an infection.

When's your scan? Can't be long now? You getting excited? I know, silly question!

Kareen, how are you? Hope everything is going well and you're feeling ok.

Sleeping is awful, I don't remember it being this bad so early on. I'm getting up to go for a wee every hour, and when I do finally get to sleep I think DH is dreaming he's a water hog! He is on nights for the next 4 so I should get some rest!

I know it's really early but the last couple of nights I'm convinced I could feel the baby, it was sort of like a bubbly feeling down where the baby is. As this isn't my first I should be able to feel it earlier but didn't know if now was too early?? I'm going to tell myself it was anyway as that will keep me happy!

Sue I'm having the most wired dreams lately, which I guess is a good sign as it means I'm falling asleep!

I'm starving all the time and I'm only having one baby!

The last two were concieved naturally. Emma (who's 4) was born 5 weeks early (even though she weighed 9lb 1oz), she had shoulder dystocia and was stuck for about 15 minutes. When she was born she wasn't breathing and had to have chest compressions, she was whisked away to scbu without them even telling me if it was a girl or a boy. It was the worst time in the whole world. After I had her I asked to be sterlised, it was so traumatic I never wanted to go through that again.

Emma was 17 weeks old when I fell pregnant with Jodie, despite being on the pill, a letter for the sterlisation came through 2 weeks after the positive test! I went into labour again 5 weeks early (she was 7lb 12oz) but this time had an emergency elective section. It was so much better but they sterlised me at the same time. There's exactly 54 weeks between the two of them.

We've always wanted a large family and I was only sterlised because I was suffering with post traumatic stress. Hence the IVF this time.

I do feel like I'm cheating sometimes as I know I have two beautiful girls and I should just be happy with that, especially after what some of you go through but we all have our reasons.....

So there you have it, my story!! lol

thank you and hey don't feel awful, it's nice to actually say about it as some people don't understand. I've already spoke to my midwife and asked for a section this time! Some people are scared of a section, I'm scared of a "natural" delivery!! I'm diabetic and your babies are larger, they said the rate Emma was growing she would have been over a stone!

It's so nice on here to be sharing everything, even with the ivf aside, it's nice to share the pregnancy too!

Going to wake DH up now and we are going to look at a car. We need a people carrier as fitting three car seats next to each other is going to be very difficult!

Enjoy your day

Jo

Hi ladies,
I'm so excited I get to join you all over here. I've been reading up on Susan and hope all is well with her tomorrow. I just went through the same thing. Had to go to the er at 5 w 6 d. They saw the sac and no baby or heartbeat. The dr told me it was a 40% chance this was not a viable pregnancy. I thought it was over. Then I came on here and alot of you ladies told me it was too soon and you'd been through it too. We had a scan at the clinic on friday and saw the heartbeat and the healthy little beanie!! I think it is sinking in that I'm pregnant finally!! I just can't believe it!!

Hi Riley,

Welcome to the 1st trimester. I am so so glad everything went ok for you. I had exactly the same, I think Jeck did too and now Susan is going through it!

Best of luck for tomorrow Susan - will be thinking of you

Hi everyone, we've had a roller coaster couple of weeks but the babies are doing well so that's all that counts! I have a pretty flexible job, on the phone and email mostly so been working from bed - keeping me from getting to bored. Daytime TV sucks, except for baby shows on the discovery channel. I especially enjoy Baby Baby about multiples.

Had a great visit with my IVF doc on Friday - he cleared me for limited activity so I can sit up in bed now, move to the sofa, shower every day and overall just enjoy those little luxuries. He's also released me to my regular obgyn so we're feeling much more confident. I'm exhausted, have headaches and nausea so still in bed much of the time. My mom is visiting and is really good at keeping me fed, bringing in lots of water etc. Frankly I'm miserable and looking forward to 2nd trimester when I'm convinced I'll be feeling much better. The new bleeding has stopped (finally) and is now a clot so the hope is that my body will absorb and/or pass it as the babies grow. Biggest fear is that I'll be in bed most of the pregnancy, boy that would suck but I know it happens and women survive it - at least I'm at home and not in the hospital!!

Well I've enjoyed catching up on all your posts, sounds like everyone is doing well and wish Susan all the best on her 2 week bedrest. DH got me a cushy matress cover after week 1 - I highly recommend it!!

Oh and joy of all joys I'm back down from 2 PIO shots a day to just 1 - my bottom is bruised and looks like a pin-cushion but hopefully is on the mend. Started oral progesterone and I'll take the stomach discomfort over those extra pokes any day :)

Sorry for the long post .. just glad to check in with everyone and wish you all well. BTW Pebbles - I am huge too, will check my tp roll size but I can tell you the belly-bands I bought 3 weeks ago are no use anymore, the only pants I can wear are the cloth kind with forgiving waist-bands or pregger pants, have you noticed they give you grandma-butt?? Sorry to any grandmas out there :)

Hugs and kisses to you all - I've really been missing you!! Take care, Racquel
