2ww ,testing on 23rd Sept

Post by kate06 »

Hello everyone

This is my first time with IVF and if it works it will be my first time being pregnant.

I had a moderate OHSS following egg retrieval ( I had 19 eggs 11 fertilised)in May so ET cancelled.I waited 3 months to do natural cycle FET.

I am in my 2ww and testing on 23rd Sept. Its not easy but I am trying to keep myself busy going to the cinema a lot ,shopping etc.it really helps.

I have no sysmptoms at all no bleeding,no spotting mild cramps only.I am positive I hope my result will be positive as well ...

Good luck to everyone

Hi Kate this is my second attempt at IVF and I'm supposed to test on Sep 22nd but I don't want to until the 23rd - only cuz it's a saturday and I'll have the weekend to regroup if it's a bfn.

I've been going crazy since saturday cuz I took a hpt and it was negative and it was only 6dp5dt and i guess i should not have expected a bfp but it still has me depressed.

i have no symptoms what so ever and the only thing i'm feeling is the sensation that i'm getting AF.

Did you transfer blastocycts with FET?

luvbabies - stay away from the hpt - trust me - I did one saturday gone and it was negative and i've been depressed since! i know i had no right to do the test so early (6 days past 5 day transfer) but one of my cycle buddies got a bfp that day on a hpt and it got me excited. of course she's the exception not the rule.

Kate - the frozen embies you transferred were at blastocycts stage? because they froze all for you I was wondering if they left all to blastocyst or if they froze them on day 3.

I'm supposed to test on friday but I'm almost sure I'm not going to do it till saturday - I have so much work to do that I don't want the distraction if the test is negative. DH said I can do the test whenever I want so I might just do it saturday

wishing bfp's for you all!!

Hi Rhonda

They froze them all on day 3. I am really confused about embryos actually.Unfortunately my clinic is not very informative. If I don't ask they tell me nothing despite being a private patient I don't get any special treatment. Anyway Its too late now, transfer done but I think I need to ask about my 5 frozen embryos what stage they are in?But to be honest with I don't know what is the right question to ask ,all medical terms.

Do you think I give them a ring or wait for my result first..

Godd luck to you too keep me posted...

Kate wait for the results first - I did'nt mean to make you more anxious but normally they won't freeze embies unless they are good so you probably have nothing to worry about :D

Hi luvbabies - I got a bfn this morning too - AGAIN

AF came in all it's glory last night so I pretty much knew a bfn was the result. I cried all night till I did'nt think i had any tears left in me to cry. My SIL did IVF with me and she got a BFP and she already has 2 kids and it is really going to be awful to see her all the time because it will be a constant reminder that it did not work for me again. this is her first attempt at IVF.

so it goes.

Rhonda01-

I wish we didn't have to go thru this. Knock us out put us in a semi coma and wake us when it works. But I guess we'd miss out on the little things in life. Funny how going thru so many negatives makes your body wake up to everything you took for granted.

It WILL happen for us...I don't know when...but you HAVE TO HAVE FAITH that it will or the grief will put us under.

Prayers are with everyone bfp and bfn's
