I posted here awhile ago. My husband had testicular cancer and after a 15 month battle he passed away september 17th. I was going through the IVF process. Had already done the hsg mock transfer testing and was on the birth control pill when we found out he had 2 months to live. I knew the IVF cycle would take about 2 months to complete and decided to hold off and spend what time he had with him. Then he passed away 12 days later. Just curious if anyone has done IVF after their husband has died. I am contemplating going through IVF. I would wait a little while before doing it because of all of the stress I am going through.
Thanks,
Jennifer in Arizona:)

Jennifer - I'm so, so sorry to hear about your husband's passing. I can't imagine what you're going through. I can't relate to your situation but I do hope everything goes well for you, whatever decision that may be.

Jennifer, I think I remember your posts a little while ago. I'm so sorry for your loss. I think it's a beautiful thing that you would consider continuing with your IVF and have a child that is a part of your beloved DH. What ever you decide, I pray you will find peace and hapiness again. Take care. ((hugs))
Jennifer-
I am 26 and have been married for almost 10 years. I can't imagine, at my age, losing the love of my life. I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure that this is a very touchy subject and has been incredibly difficult for you to work out in your head. I have to say (of course, never being through it) I would definitely go through with it, since that was obviously what you both wanted. It would be amazing for me to have a piece of Patrick back with me again, if anything ever happened. Good luck with it all and I pray the decision comes easy for you!

Hi Jennifer,
I was so moved by your story.
My husband and I actually talked a few months ago about what we would do if something like that happened to us. He said "Well, I hope you would go ahead and have the baby". And I would. Each person and situation is different, but thats what I would do. They say you should wait a year after a tragic death to make life changing decisions, so possibly give yourself some time.
All of us on these boards ar so focused on a baby and feel that life will end if we don't get one, but we need to remember that we have a husband and appreciate that relationship as well. This helps put it inot perspective.
Hi Jennifer, I am so sorry about your loss. I hope you are doing well.
Regarding to you question depends with the clinic. With my clinic we did sign a concent form regarding that.. I wish you all the best.
If you have the support of your friends and family and have the strength, I think it would be a beautiful thing to bring a child into the world even under these unusual circumstances. A part of him would continue to live on.
Jennifer
I am so sorry to hear about your situation. It is so horrible that you had to go through that with you guys being so young. I would say that if you feel up to it when you are ready I think that you should go for it! It would help if your friends and family can support you through pregnancy and the birth of your precious baby. Best Wishes to you.
I am getting ready to go through with FET in Dec and I am so excited!
GOOD LUCK
