Good Morning!!

Bec- i am so happy for you GO ON GIRL!!!

Jemima- The other emby it must be in process to be freeze, but i am surprise that they didn't explain that to you on the beggining before the transfer when i had mine from 17 eggs 3 survived the whole 9 yards i got 2 transferred and the one that is frozen and they told me once that i produced and got the "survival emby" what exactly they were doing transferring 2 and freezing one if that was my wish and if i planned to have more kids and of course i said YES!! You need to check with them and see what happend with your little emby... Thank you for the words i know i should not worry much about my weight but it because of my PCO i should loose some weight it is for my health most than anything!! but will see..
Good Luck!!

San- Welcome to the Board as well!! an Good Luck on your 1st IVF and to all of those that are having 1st IVF done it will happen!!!

Jemima its so good to see you....are you getting excited about starting yet?....the green tea thing yes it does contain caffeen but if coffee has 100 caffeen green tea has 30...and at least green tea has some very good healthy bits to it BUT like i said dont drink anything while doing a cycle but if you can do it the month before then stop for a month before you start .there is non caff green tea but the decaf process removes all the good bits too so no point in drinking it. water will be as good for you

hey is everyone drinking 4 glasses of water a day at least and your milk (if possible) and taking your vits and folic acid??.....just asking because we all need to make sure we do from now as we are all starting soon.... :D hey im allowed to nag i love ya....

love to all Aunty

Aunty-
Thanks so much, I am excited to start shots! (sounds whacked huh!!!!)
just praying this is my magic time! SIL is starting this week! going to be a great xmas I hope!

Rachel- thanks my friend!! I hope BFP's for all :)

Angie- I had a genetic test done to see if I was one of the rare cases when a chromosone transfers to another line in the DNA which doesn't allow the embryo to attatch to the uterus. It was more of a precaution than anything that I was really concerned about, but there is always a chance! this will be my 5th cycle and insurance has been requiring me to do more tests to rule out that there is something else why I am not getting pregnant, BUT we went conservative the 1st 2 times and only transferred 1 embryo, sometimes it just takes a while, and unfortunately I am one of those people? keep on trucking though!

Erin- GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!! I will be thinking of you!!! you will be great I know it!!! love ya.

Jemma- i heard too that green tea issn't recommended. I stopped that one too. also i hear all sweetners with the exception of Splenda is not good too. heard this one???

SS- it is a hard thing when they tell you that they could only freeze a certain # and you know that the others are not around anymore, but I just trust in my angels and I know all will be ok! ahh but all it takes is one right :) how goes it for you does your PCO give you trouble during cycles??

Jackie-
ok here is Squash soup recipe. I change it everytime so it never comes out the same:
1 good size acorn squash (cut up into chunks)
1 good size summer squash (or whatever kind you like) (cut up into chunks)
1 vidali onion (cut up into chunks)
2 cups of baby carrots
1 sweet potato (peeled & cut up into chunks)
2 or 3 green apples (peeled & cut up into chunks)
1 Tbsp crushed garlic
2 Tbsp dill weed
salt n pepper to taste
2 cans low sodium chicken broth

put all ingredients in a crock pot or sauce pan.
if in a crock pot I cook for 8 hrs.
stir occasionally.
if in a sauce pan cook on medium til bubbling. lower heat cook til all chunks are soft.
I use a potato masher and mash all chunks or you can use a blender.
let simmer for a little longer. til everything mashes together nice.
you can add 1/2 cup of cream. to make creamy.
I love it. nice and yummy. it is the dill that does the trick!

ok sorry so long!
good day to all!

Bec- I only had one emby to freeze because from all the eggs only 9 went thru the process and from those 9 / 3 survived and went thru the blastocyst, 2 were transferred and one frozen which is the one i will transfer either Dec or Jan, I am getting my sugar levels done this Friday and so my levels for fhs and a few more things.. Ont he PCO i guess i was one of the lucky ones on my first cycle on IVF_ICSI i got pregnantmy treatment started between may & july , Retrieval of the eggs on October 20/04 ,Transferred on October 23/04 , Pregnancy test done on November 12/04 GOOD NEWS!!! Pregnant with twins but one did survived after 2 1/2 months pregnant but i do have my baby boy, Overall i didn't much of a problem i was very sleepy, needed to eat every 4 hrs exact, didn't throw up not even once thru the whole pregnancy, nausea yes but that was as far if got, suffered from a lot of constipation painful, but the concern was the diabetes due to the PCO (insulin resistant) but Thank God it didn't happen for me after 3 different test for sugar levels including the drinking one, worst part the fasting....

Love,
Susette

Forgot to say (am having one of those days) I am very good at drinking water, taking vits and folic acid but have redeveloped my love of morning coffee

As I am not likely to start treatment until at least Feb (depending on when there are donors available) am I ok to keep on with this for now and make it one of my new years resolutions to quite coffee then?

Ok, I have my first "real" questions. What do all of these abreviations mean? :? Also, how do you find the courage to have more treatments once the 1st one has failed? I had m/c 2 years ago due to a bad relationship and it took me 18 months to even think about having more kids. From what I know, IVF is almost more reliable and controlled then say the natural way of concieving also it is much more costly. I am affraid that if my first IVF fails, then I will just want to give up and say "just be happy with what you have."

Thanks for everything so far!
