Wannababy ---- Don't worry, I have read that yeast infections are normal and they are common during the pregnancy. I am sure everything will be OK and it will have no effect on your embies! Image

Mia ---- I cannot believe the day is here! Good luck my dear, I will be thinking of you tomorrow! I am thinking it's a NICE FAT POSITIVE! Image

Wannababy,
I am betting you do not have a yeast infection and you just have yeast like symptoms because of all the "action" going on down there. Be careful treating it and do not do anything with medication until you talk to your doctor. I am guessing that after three days are babies are hanging on already. Of course I am no expert so I do not want to give you false information. I just remember freaking out about the discharge, Called my doctor after hours in a panic, to come to find out all is normal and typical. I think it was about a week after transfer.

Hi ladies--
I was typing in a panic yesterday. My symptoms aren't as bad as I made them appear yesterday. The irritation/itchiness comes and goes and I don't always have that discharge everytime I go to the bathroom. Actually,I have been good so far this morning. I was going to call the doctor but they only take emergency phone calls over the weekend. I can investigate when I go in for bw on Monday. Thanks to all of you! You are all awesome!

Maybe this is a good sign, Sam! Thanks again.

Good morning, Ladies.

Wannababy - I'm glad you've relaxed! Even if it is a mild yeast infection, I agree with everyone else that this is not something to get to concerned about. To help over the next couple of days, eat plain yogurt (make sure the carton says 'contains active cultures'). And, avoid sugary stuff - candy, juices, etc. Sometimes this alone can get those nasty things to go away. If it is uncomfortable or bothering you, I wouldn't hesitate to call the after hours line - - as you gals reminded me the other day, we pay good money for these procedures and even if it's just for your peace of mind, you should get the advice you deserve.

Lola - So no real bed rest for you, huh? It's so funny to me how much variability there is between clinics with respect to bed rest. Ghost used to say the scientific research showed no benefit from bed rest, but I always feel like I should follow my doctor's recommendation. I hope you're getting all the rest you need - get it while you can! Especially since you have to drive 2 hours to the RE - that's really far. I bet you're looking forward to the scan on the 28th....it's so exciting!

Sam - Thanks for hanging around and cheering us on. You're an inspiration to all of us still waiting for our dreams to come true!

So the RE visit was pretty good. Got my 3rd scan and this time it showed 7 follies on one side and 4 on the other (but one was probably too small.) So, it looks like I'm at about 10 follies in total. The 10 were really big though - all were over 17 mm and some were even 21-22 mm. Can follies be too big? I've mentally prepared myself that I'm not going to get as many eggies as I did with the first two cycles, but it's okay because my E-2 is much better which ultimately should mean better quality.
The uterine lining, he was shocked to find, was 18 mm. I've never had > 12 mm with either of the two others. I bet it's all the acupuncture. I'm thinking it's all positive news.

Also, DH went with me this morning and asked a lot about the transfer. The RE said we'd probably do it on Friday (4 day transfer) but we asked whether we're compromising our cycle by doing a 4-day vs. 3-day transfer. RE said, "If for any reason I think you'd be better off doing a 3-day transfer, I'll be here and do your transfer on Thanksgiving - I would never let a holiday get in the way of your success." Wow - we were pretty shocked but felt soooo much better. But, needless to say I'm good to go for HCG tonight and ER is Monday morning! I'm really excited!

Mia - I'm thinking about you in the next day and wishing wonderful news tomorrow!

Have a great weekend everyone,

Hi ladies, I wish I had good news, but unfortunately I am a BFN again. I may start stimming again this week or next. My RE has offered us a big discount on our next cycle and DH and I are finding it hard to refuse. My RE is on vacation right now (back on 12/01), so I would stim this month and freeze all embies for an FET later. I would of liked a little while to refocus and do some other 'non baby making' stuff. But we think with the savings ($2800) offered we'd better do it now. At least my mom's coming here Tues and spending time with her will keep me distracted this week. Looks like we're in for a penny pinching Christmas. Thanks everyone for your support, you've all really help me through the worst of it all.

Oh, Mia - I'm so sorry to hear, I really wanted this to be your chance. It sounds like there is a silver lining if you get to stim again (with a discount!) right away. That's a blessing. I hope this is going to be the one for you - you know we'll all be here for you until you get the bfp you deserve!

Mia,

I am truly sorry. This must be so hard. I imagine going straight to stimming will take a toll. Make sure you take good care of yourself and prepare both mentally and physically. We are here for you.

Dear Mia,
I really thought this one will be BFP. I was thinking of you the whole day. I am so sorry. You are so strong. Maybe this new fresh cycle will be better and give you better results. It is great that you can start stims so soon. Don't give up, it will work out at the end. And we are hear for you! Stay strong! Love Lola

Thanks ladies for thinking of me. It looks like we are def going to start a new stim cycle at the beginning of next week. We'll be just harvesting eggs/Icsi & freeze for now. I think we might do an FET in Feb or Mar. I hope I get enough embies for 2 or 3 FETs.

Devasting news - had the ER this morning and from 11 follies, we got 3 eggs. The RE thought I might have preovulated because of the # of follies w/ no eggs. On top of that, he's said the 18 mm uterine lining is too thick and may be a problem. I feel like I've been kicked in the chest. I'm readying myself that we probably won't have anything to transfer.

Well, back to hibernating. :( :(

Suzhan --- I just read your post, we must have been posting at the same time. I understand how you must feel. This whole process is so nervewrecking. We just have to hope that those 3 eggs will fertilize now. Please don't lose your hope, I have read stories about having just a couple of eggs and still getting BFP. It may still work, don't worry too much about it. We are here to take you through it, so please don't give up!!!! Lola

Hopeful- I am so sorry that you got a BFN! You have an amazing will to go forward. It's awesome that you RE is offering a discount for you. You are smart to take advantage of that. Don't give up! We are all pulling for you!

Suzhan- These ups and downs are brutal! I am very hopeful for you. Stay positive and keep the faith! I felt like you last week only to get good news from the RE. You never know!

I spoke to a nurse about my infection. Sam you were right-no worries. She told me to use an OTC monistat and only use half. I WILL NOT BE DOING THAT! I am not about to put anything put up in there until I get my results next week. She kinda thougth that I wasn't going for that, so suggested I eat a lot of yogurt. I'm doing well with this, as it is barely noticable to me.

Hope all is well and take care!

Suzhan, please don't loose hope! I know you know this... all you need is one good egg. I know you have 3 good eggs. Stay possitive! If the linning is no good this cycle, will they be able to freeze and do an FET? I've got everything crossed for you!
