Good morning, Ladies.
Wannababy - I'm glad you've relaxed! Even if it is a mild yeast infection, I agree with everyone else that this is not something to get to concerned about. To help over the next couple of days, eat plain yogurt (make sure the carton says 'contains active cultures'). And, avoid sugary stuff - candy, juices, etc. Sometimes this alone can get those nasty things to go away. If it is uncomfortable or bothering you, I wouldn't hesitate to call the after hours line - - as you gals reminded me the other day, we pay good money for these procedures and even if it's just for your peace of mind, you should get the advice you deserve.
Lola - So no real bed rest for you, huh? It's so funny to me how much variability there is between clinics with respect to bed rest. Ghost used to say the scientific research showed no benefit from bed rest, but I always feel like I should follow my doctor's recommendation. I hope you're getting all the rest you need - get it while you can! Especially since you have to drive 2 hours to the RE - that's really far. I bet you're looking forward to the scan on the 28th....it's so exciting!
Sam - Thanks for hanging around and cheering us on. You're an inspiration to all of us still waiting for our dreams to come true!
So the RE visit was pretty good. Got my 3rd scan and this time it showed 7 follies on one side and 4 on the other (but one was probably too small.) So, it looks like I'm at about 10 follies in total. The 10 were really big though - all were over 17 mm and some were even 21-22 mm. Can follies be too big? I've mentally prepared myself that I'm not going to get as many eggies as I did with the first two cycles, but it's okay because my E-2 is much better which ultimately should mean better quality.
The uterine lining, he was shocked to find, was 18 mm. I've never had > 12 mm with either of the two others. I bet it's all the acupuncture. I'm thinking it's all positive news.
Also, DH went with me this morning and asked a lot about the transfer. The RE said we'd probably do it on Friday (4 day transfer) but we asked whether we're compromising our cycle by doing a 4-day vs. 3-day transfer. RE said, "If for any reason I think you'd be better off doing a 3-day transfer, I'll be here and do your transfer on Thanksgiving - I would never let a holiday get in the way of your success." Wow - we were pretty shocked but felt soooo much better. But, needless to say I'm good to go for HCG tonight and ER is Monday morning! I'm really excited!
Mia - I'm thinking about you in the next day and wishing wonderful news tomorrow!
Have a great weekend everyone,
- Suzhan
