Hello Mommies
I hope you are all doing great. Zoe I hope to get to 36 weeks, that's my plan. Emma and Jodie came at 35 weeks so 36 weeks would be great. The hospital said the other day if I continue to be so ill they will do the section at 38 weeks and not 39 and I just laughed. Yeah ok, whatever! lol
The one thing I really wanted during all my labours was an enema. There was no way I was going to be pushing through my back passage without one!
I'm sorry your MIL's aren't going to be around but something always happens. Things will fall into place and it will be stress free - I'm hoping.
What length is your hair now? I was going to get my cut off but I can't now my face is like a basketball! I've gone for dying it instead. Also it's easy to just stick it in a ponytail once the baby is here.
Water births sound great. I've always wanted one but I can't because of the diabetes, if I had a hypo in the water they would have to call the fire brigade in to lift me out!
Hayley I don't envy you with the iron tablets, the start of black poo! lol hope they make you feel better soon. Ellie only ever kicks me down low, haven't had any higher ones yet. Midwife said today she is probably breach.
It's not my belly that's itchy, it's my legs, they are driving me mad!
Kareen I couldn't not come on and wish you all the best for tomorrow. I know you are having your GTT but are you having your scan then too? I hope you do and you get to see the sex of your little ones - that's if you still want to.
Vita, I'm sorry to hear about your gestational diabetes but it was probably to be expected carrying three in there. Have they put you on insulin or just diet? I'm now up to 378 units a day. Will have beaten the hospital record by next week!
Stock up on your book collection, magazines, puzzle books etc. Do you have a portable DVD player you could take into hospital with you? Will be thinking of you.
Tammy just go with what you body tells you. With Hannah I had gas and air which made me really sick and pethadine which is lovely. I had Alice in Portugal and they don't offer any drugs at all or anyone to be with you when you give birth so that was a natural birth - not through my choice though. Emma I just had gas and air and with Jodie it was a spinal because of the section. Don't be afraid of anything. If you do finally have an epidural then you will wonder what took you so long! Walking and marching during labour is great, helps you dilate quicker.
Justine you are having a tough time, it's one thing after the other. Hopefully you've got rid of everything now and you will be in the best of health when your little boy arrives. Glad your 32 week appointment went well.
I've got my wash bag ready for hospital and everything else is just at grab level. I do about 4 loads of washing a day so I never have anything dirty for more than a few hours. I couldn't trust Paul to buy anything for me for hospital. I just couldn't even think about what he would turn up with!
I'm still struggling. Not been on much as I'm on such a downer and don't like moaning, it's not me, I'm usually the happy person! I've put on another 6lbs this week. That's 54lb now. The hospital keep saying I can lose it afterwards and it's because of the steroids and insulin. I don't care that I can lose it afterwards and what's causing it. That doesn't help me now. I'm so puffy and swollen. I've asked Paul to take down all the mirrors in the house as I feel deformed. I went to get measured for a bra yesterday. I was a 40DD before, I'm now a 48DD and M&S don't go up that big!
I was overweight before the pregnancy (I was a size 14) but all this weight is horrible. Even my calves have gone up an inch in two weeks! I can't breathe very well and am virtually house bound. When I went out to get my bra I was going to have a little rumage around the shops for some stocking fillers. I went in M&S, came out had to sit down for half an hour then waddled back to the car! I hate moaning. I really want to enjoy the pregnancy as I love being pregnant, it's these horrible steroids!
I had the midwife today. My blood pressure has gone up to 148/93 so needs to be kept an eye on. No surprise really being so obese. I told the hospital I'm at risk of getting diabetes being this fat! lol I went to put some mascara on the other day to cheer me up. I kept getting it on my cheeks where my cheeks are so puffy they were in the way of the mascara wand!
I do read up on you every day just don't want to bring you all down with me! Kareen I know I've already said it but best of luck tomorrow and hope you get to see your little ones.
Take care the rest of you, sorry if I've missed anyone.
Think of you lots
Jo
