I have just had my ER yesterday and because I had too many eggs my transfer has been cancelled. 1st IVF and gutted, we've waited over a year to get this far. 22 eggs recovered and 16 fertilised.
Now I am worried that our cycle will be from frozen not fresh and I have read that the rates of a live birth from frozen is 50% less than that for a fresh cycle. Does anyone know whether this is true?
How many should be thawed at one time? I have been told it will be 8 and 8 which seems high risk for wastage.
And finally does anyone know what the process is for the next stage...using the embryos on a 'constructed cycle ( as I don't have regular periods?) I am in the Uk so does anyone know what the UK procedures are? And what I need to do next?
All help appreciated.
