Keep me posted, so far I like Dr. Severino. I like the idea that when you return calls to him, he has you call on the cell phone, that way there is no phone tag back and forth. But I just met him. But I hear he has good sucess rates, We have a 40-50% chance of it working the first time. Good luck to you

Hi ladies, I have been reading your posts and thought I may have an idea for you to help with the medication cost. I will be doing my second IVF at the end of March or beginning of April. The first IVF gave us a BFP but sadly we miscarried at 6w5d. I just met with my doctor in Minnesota yesterday and when I expressed concerns over the cost, he gave me all the gonalf meds for free. He said most RE's have some meds to give to people who have difficulty paying for them. Luckily we did not need them because my RE wrote the script for my meds now to be filled this month so that my insurance will cover them at 100 percent. I don't know if this will help but I thought it may be worth a try. Good luck to you all!!
Jill

HI

Post by WISCONSINGAL »

HI THERE:

JABY & JENHOPE.....I WANT TO MAKE SURE WE'RE ALL PAYING FOR THE SAME THING, AND ARE GETTING THE SAME RATES......RIGHT NOW AFTER THE (3) TRY.....IT'S ALL ABOUT $$ FOR MY & THE DH......AFTER 11 YEARS OF THIS....I THINK WE'RE COMING TO THE END. I HIGHLY DOUBT THEY WOULD EVER THINK THE PATIENTS ARE CONFERING ABOUT THE COSTS......AS YOU GUYS KNOW AS WELL AS I DO, WHEN YOUR IN THE WAITING ROOM, YOUR THOUGHTS ARE CONCERNING YOUR SELF AND WHAT'S ABOUT GOING TO TAKE PLACE IN THE NEXT FEW MINUTES......

I'VE RECEIVED SOME PERSONAL IM'S ABOUT COSTS....MEDS.....ETC. I GUESS I JUST THOUGH SINCE WE DIDN'T DO THE WHOLE IVF PROCESS THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A BIGGER KICK BACK.....AND THEN TRY #2 WOULD HAVE BEEN CHEAPER THAN A SAVINGS OF ONLY $900.....THAT'S RIGHT, THEY SAID THIS TIME THE IVF PROCEDURE WOULD BE $900 LESS......BUT THEN THEY ADDED SOME OTHER FEES.....SO REALLY THERE'S NO SAVINGS.......CAN YOU GUYS TALK ABOUT THE COSTS AND WHAT THEY ARE TELLING YOU? IF YOU WANT TO EMAIL ME DIRECT THAT WOULD BE OK TOO. WHAT DID THEY TELL YOU THE COSTS WOULD BE FOR ICSI? ETC.....

ARE YOU GUYS GETTING THE MEDS THROUGH THEM???

DID YOU GUYS ASK IF THEY HAD ANY FREE MEDS???

I KNOW I'M ASKING ALOT OF QUESTIONS, BUT SINCE WE'RE ALL DOING THIS AT THE SAME CLINIC, I THINK IT WOULD BE NICE TO KNOW IF WE'RE ALL BEING TREATED THE SAME

Well this is what we were told: For the IVF with ICSI the cost would be 12,200. I have not found out about the meds yet, they said it would be around 3,000. I didn't ask about free meds. I have been waiting for AF and she has not come yet, so I can't start anything yet. I guess I will find out about the meds eventually. I was told if we did a second round of IVF with Frozen the cost would be 4,000-5,000 less, but we this will be our one and only try, we will not try again. They did give us a fee for them to freeze them which was somewhere around $650 and storage free for one year and then $24/month after that. That is all I know so far. I am curious to see about the cost for others.

HI

I AM GOING TO BRING MY PAPERWORK TO WORK TOMORROW AND SUM IT ALL UP. I STILL THINK THERE'S NO BREAK IN THE (2ND) TRY FOR ME. IT WILL STILL BE WELL OVER $10,000.00 AND THAT MIGHT NOT EVEN GET TO FERTILIZATION. THE NUMBERS I WAS GIVEN LAST TIME WERE HAND WRITTEN IN....NOT LIKE THERE'S A SET $$ FOR EACH PROTOCAL TRIED.....SO I'M PRAYING IF I CHAT WITH THEM "NEXT TIME...IF THERE IS A NEXT TIME" THAT MAYBE WITH A LITTLE LUCK SOME NUMBERS MIGHT COME DOWN.

I WANT TO MAKE SURE THE GALS GOING TO SEE DR. SEVERINO KNOW THAT I'M NOT DOGGING HIM OR HIS STAFF. I DID MY HOMEWORK AND THE CLINIC HAS GOOD STATS.....I WISH YOU GUYS ALL THE BEST. I JUST HOPE WE CAN HANGE TOGETHER IN THIS.....AND MAKE SURE WE'RE ALL GETTING THE "BEST" TREATMENTS.....AT THE BEST RATES.....AND I FEEL WE CAN ALL DO THAT WITH GOOD COMMUNICATION.....SO I HOPE WE ALL CAN STAY IN TOUCH AND I HOPE AND PRAY SOMEDAY SHARE SOME BABY PICTURES!!!
