HAVE FUN AND DONT EAT TOO MANY PIES

Welcome Saxony

Charity - Your list is brilliant but i agree the BFP section needs a much bigger space for all the happy  faces that will be fitting in there.
You sound more excited about my cycle than me  Just got to wait on January af then we will be rocking and rolling---AGAIN  .

So i'm off to work today again. Only got two more shifts then i'm off for 7 days. The kids have been great so far and no missing ones either, has to be a first at Christmas but we have Hogmany to go. They all seem to like hitting voddie at New Year and they are only 14,15,16yrs  We might have some missing by then but, oh yeh, i will be off

Charity!!!

Oh my gosh you made me cry at work!!! I just saw your new list where you added me and Jaden!!! Thank you for that acknowledgement!!! It is so weird and wonderful to see that beside my name!!!! :D

I found this and wanted to share it with you all! I think we can apply this to many situations in our lives! Enjoy!

Life in the Waiting Room
Isaiah 40:31 ESV
We’ve all heard the prayer: “Lord, make me more patient—and do it now!” Of all the spiritual virtues, patience is one that tends to be troublingly elusive. Let’s face it; if patience is a virtue, most of us are not very virtuous. It’s flat out hard to wait.
Think of how you feel when you’re late for a critical engagement and caught in a traffic jam. I find it tough when I’m in a hurry and rush to the “10 items or less” line at the grocery store, and then have to wait while the guy in front of me pulls 16 items out of the basket and casually chats with the clerk. How did I know it was 16 items? I counted them, piece by piece!
When life or people don’t measure up to our expectations, being patient can be quite a challenge. But it’s clear that God wants us to develop this character trait. After all, patience is more than a virtue—it’s a fruit of the Spirit. It reflects His very presence in our lives, for He is a patient God. If He weren’t, we all would have been annihilated long ago.
So what’s our problem?
There’s a good probability that our struggle with patience has been unsuccessful because we’ve been trying to focus on our own agendas and timelines and not trusting that, for reasons best known to Him, God may have a whole different schedule for us. Our propensity to live with a short fuse is all about forgetting that God puts us in His waiting room on purpose, because He is often doing something behind the scenes while we wait.
It might be as simple as teaching us to be more concerned with the struggles and feelings of others rather than being totally taken with our own interest and plans. There is plenty of evidence as well that God interrupts the normal flow of our lives to open unusual opportunities to be used of Him in unexpected ways. Or, it just may be that God wants to give us the opportunity to show what His patience is like by demonstrating it to others.
One thing we can be sure of—God’s time is always the right time. His management of our situations—whether in traffic or in the “ten items or less” line—is always the best management. Patience is not learning to wait for others; it’s learning to wait on God and to cooperate with His work in our lives. Next time impatience begins to stress you out, stop and ask God what He is saying to you; ask Him to show you why your expectations and schedule have been hijacked. Then take a deep breath and trust. Trust that He is at work in you and in the situation.
So, the next time you have to wait, “wait for the Lord”! He is never late.
YOUR JOURNEY…
What kinds of situations make you impatient?
What are you waiting for right now?
What are some ways that God might be working in your situation while you wait?

Charity, That's a great idea and very cute!

I am waiting for AF in early January and will start my protocol 10 days after I surge...so we still don't have it nailed down on time yet! Our retrieval should be mid to late Feb. I will have more info after AF arrives and I meet with my doctor on January 9th to firm up the plans...! However, as you know, I will not have a transfer this go 'round unless something bad happens and they have to move forward with it.

What does down regging mean?

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and are looking forward to a VERY wonderful New Year!! :D

Oh, Souris ~ I see the pic of your foster kitties and they are adorable. :D It looks like they are hiding!! I'm sure they are very happy to have a place to call home.

And Jeck, congrats on your new little son Jaden. What a precious picture. You are an inspiration and I appreciate your message you left on patience. We do get lost in this IVF world we are living in and sometimes we need to focus on the big picture and just trust in God. I do believe he has a plan for all of us ~ a different journey for each of us and a reason for it :!:

Best Wishes to All,

Jeck...I didn't mean to make you cry, sweetie...I agree with AEJ, and the message applies regardless of faith. Patience is definitely a trait I need to embrace more and realize there are plans for us all in life, and we will each find our path in due time. Jaden is a very lucky boy, and you and dh will be such good role models for him. I only pray that he gets into your arms very very soon. I realize that I might sound impatient, but I don't care.
Image

AEJ...Wow! Your cycle is right around the corner!! I had forgotten to add an area for EC's & ET's, so have corrected that huge oversight. Thanks for the reminder. You asked what down-regging is. There is a standard long protocol for IVF that includes a period of suppressing the pituitary gland. They refer to this period of suppression as down regulating or down-regging. It's when they typically prescribe Lupron. Lupron is what's referred to as an agonist. It suppresses the releasing of specific hormones by blocking the transmission of the hormone.

The particular cycle I'm going to be on is going to use an antagonist, which will not block the release of the hormones, but will stop the reception of the hormones being released. The doctor's thinking is that my pituitary didn't kick back in on the long-protocol like it should have, so they're going to block the reception of the hormones, which recover more quickly when the medications doing the blocking is removed. Not sure if it makes sense, but basically, if you think of a pitcher and a batter in baseball. The agonist blocks the pitcher from releasing the ball. With the antagonist, the pitcher pitches, but the batter has an bubble around them preventings them from making contact with the ball. Once the antagonist is removed, the batter hits it out of the park, and the luitenizing hormone is able to be received telling the eggs to mature for collection. So, I won't be down-regging either, but your younger and good-responding gals usually do down-reg. The "flare" protocol doesn't include down-regging either. This is all coming from a layman, so anyone, if there are any inaccuracies, please correct me. Probably tons more information than required, but that's so me...

Souris...Love the kitties...Glad I could help, but sounds like you figured it out all on your own, kiddo...I know how good it feels when you learn something new, something you thought was too technical, and something you can help others learn. Your such a good person to take them into your home and taking the risk that you might get attached. The pain of having them leave I think would be too much for me right now. Actually, they don't even have programs in my area like this one. In fact, some years ago, when I lived with my mom still, a kitty got her leg caught in the slats of her fence. The poor thing hung there for who knows how long. I found her and was crying and shouting for someone to help me. I ended up calling the humane society to help me. Anyway, while I was waiting for them to come, I got her leg free. They took her, and gave her surgery to fix her broken leg. My mom and I called to adopt, and they said that unless the person who was adopting her was willing to pay for her surgery, she wasn't up for adoption. They'd rather put her down than get her placed in a good home! I was in shock over their rationale on that one. Needless to say, the humane society here doesn't sound anything like where you're at.

I did go shopping for my puppy today, though. Got him a new bed. It's very plush, so I hope he's comfortable in there. I will bring him home after my collection, so only another month to go before my baby comes home. I need to get him food, dishes, toys, and a crate still, but one step at a time. My husband is still kind of in denial, so I'm easing him into the idea of having him here with us. He's such a big grumpy gus at anything new, but then he softens up and comes around.

Back to work tomorrow, and it's going to be B-U-S-Y, so if I don't get back to talk much, please know I'll be here soon... Take care ladies, and have a great night...

coming out from under the covers...

Post by sat14 »

Hi Charity and girls!
It was a tough holiday butt I finally decided to come out from under the covers. Just finished AF which had started on Dec the day of my beta. No real plan yet for next cycle. Meeting with the RE on Jan 5th. Husband needs to fly to Philippines beginning of Feb so that could screw things up a bit. We may have to wait until March or at least the middle of Feb to start meds. Also just began talking about the adoption process as well(in addition to trying ourselves)... Sorry I have been absent for such a while. Thank you girls for looking after me, DH is not doing to well with being supportive... He is clueless. I will keep you all posted.

Thank you Charity for adding my name on the list! It seems more real now! I hope to get an email back from my doc once her holidays are finished, so I can book my plane to go back home. But before I have to have my prolactin level check, I will go next week and hopefully it will be Ok :?
What a bunch of silly people to refuse the kitty adoption!!

Here in Dubai, the association is called feline friends. They dont have a shelter so they need loads of foster families until the cats find adoptive families. I also went to see the k9 friends, and the poor dogs are kept in cages... But that is the best they can do, as they dont get money from the goverment, only from donations.... I know it will be hard to give my kittens back... but as we are travelling I cannot adopt them. When i come back after my cycle, I will foster 1 or 2 dogs, we have a large garden and I am sure they will love it, although it will be even harder for me to give them back after a while...

I have one cat back home,Neige, but because I was pregnant and not immune for toxoplasmosis, I left her at my mum. I know she is in distress there, because she is scared of other animals and other people, so I soon as I go back home i will take her with me... i love her and miss her sooo much!

I am sure you cant wait to have your puppy home! Do you have a name for him yet??
I read you are going to have a short protocol? My first IVF cycle was a short one, and I found it so much better!! It was quick, just 8 days of stimming!!

Reach how are you doing?Exciting about your cycle coming up!!? yes the kittens were hiding behind the cooker for 2 days! but now they are ok, running around the house like mad!!

Jeck, any news on when you will visit your baby boy? You said around Feb didnt you? so "only" 1 month to go!!! :P

Saxony, I did not realise your cycle had been cancelled, sorry for that... :( . I hope the next one will be a success hun!!

Susan, YES !! xmas is over!! It sounds terrible but I am soooo happy! It was tough and I hope the new year will bring us only happiness and joy!

Ok, got to go

Charity-Thanks for checking in on me! AF did come and I am actually in the middle of the Clomid Challenge Test. Today is day 7 for me and so it is day 3 on the med. Had the day 3 bloodwork last Sat and u/s Sunday. I will do a day 10 blood on this Sat! The said everything looks good on the bloodwork-estradoil? is at 12, FSH 6.8 and LH 4. I'll take their word for it that it looks good. So far no ill side effects from the Clomid, just tender ovaries, but I haven't taken my pills yet today.

For everyone else who says hello-Hello! I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to personally speak with you yet. Sorry! :(

Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas!
