Good morning ladies!
Look at this thread! So active! it's amazing! I hope all you guys are doing okay; I think we have a couple of new people here as well: WELCOME!

You'll like it here! Those ladies rock!
Still doing well with the Lupron injections. I did two more and I was okay. It was really the first one that was the worst, because of my fear of the unknown. The funny thing is, the right side of my tummy seems a little more sensitive than the left!

LOL go figure! Either way, the meds hurt a little bit after the injection, and throughout the day sometimes. Whether it's psychosomatic or not, I don't know, but sometimes I have the feeling that "something is there" under my skin, and sometimes it creates a little discomfort. But hey... other than feeling a little hot in the morning and having a slightly lighter sleep, I'm 100% fine. I'm actually in a very good mood!

Yesterday I went to the hairdresser with my best friend... who showed up an hour late for her appointment! And I went there only for her, lol, because I got my hair and color done on Dec 23rd... she was in for a makeover; she loves it and so do I!

It was so nice to spend the afternoon and evening with her (she came home with us for dinner... and The Office, and My Name is Earl... and Scrubs!)!
Aunty Sorry to read you're sick dear!

And I'm glad you liked the ovarian vacation term, lol!
Jackie planning your ER on Monday? But that's wonderful! Is it your first (sorry, can't remember)? Are you nervous? Does it look like you'll have a lot of follicles? I'm happy for you, one more big step coming that brings you closer to your baby belly!
Cookholmes Hey, look at that, we started Lupron the same day!

How are you doing with the shots? With you taking follitism on the 10th, from the name of the meds I conclude that you'll start stimming earlier than me. I'll start stimming on the 19th! So well, if it's the case, you get a shorter ovarian vacation than I! Good for you!

Keep me posted sweetie!
Shantala I'm glad the link was useful for you! Really, there are many nice little tips there that you can only know through experience... I'm also glad that my never-ending rant about my first injection was useful for you. I never know if I babble too much or not!

Also glad you loved the "ovarian vacation" term; it made me giggle when I thought of it! How are you doing health wise?
Charlie I think what confuses you might be that you base your understanding on the administration mode of the meds and not on the name of the meds (no matter what way it's administered, some meds will be devoted to the mini-menopause and others, to stimming). The mini-menopause part can be provoked in many ways, as you saw in the different posts. Some will have nasal spray, others will have one shot, others will have injections of one med, or many meds at some point. The lenghts will vary as well even for the same meds. Look at cookholmes and me: she started it on the 3rd like me, but she'll start taking follitism on the 10th and I'll just continue on taking Lupron till the 18th... and then add Puregon. Oh and by the way sweetie, my blood test is 16 days after egg retrieval, not 16 days after embryo transfer. That actually means my 2ww will be between 10-13 days.
Ems Congratulations on starting stimming!

GO girl!
Ange Hehehe aren't we glad we have that small amount of belly fat, huh?

Same here! Though I could do without the bloating... And as far as Progesterone is concerned, HA! I'll have what they can intra-vaginal pearls... suppositories of you will. No injections! The hardest part as far as injections are concerned is right now; I was told that the Puregon injections are a breeze because they are done with a special "pen" that diabetics use and apparently it's very comfy.
bec It's great to have news sweetie!

Oh and by the way, I'm down regging, not stimming! hehehee but there are so many posts that it's difficult not to get confused!
beachbaby yup, ER and ET at the beginning of February means our 2ww will definitely overlap. I figure you've just started your ovarian vacation like me?
Fed Hello sweetie! By the way, I'm the one who invented the "ovarian vacation" term (hum... should ask royalties for that... lol)! Glad you like it!
jodic oh, I'm sorry to hear that you're having lots of headaches... I'm prone to that as well, so I guess that's what's down the road for me when I start Puregon. Try massaging your temples with lavander essential oil or diffusing it in your room... it helps with headaches.
Ok, I have a patient waiting for me! Should go! I have my first acupuncture appointment after work today! I'm VERY curious!
Take care ladies, and lots of love to you all!
Sophie
