Cmoscar i am so sorry about your tooth. You must have been so brave it sounds awful when i read you post i could feel the agony, but pleased you are ok now.

Jeck it is so good to hear from you. Hope everything is still in progress for you to go and see you little boy. Is it next week? You must be getting so excited.

GO BEARS

Jeck-good luck on your trip

Ellie and nicola- welcome over here... congrats on making it past the 12 week mark... time will fly... hope that the m/s getts better soon, guys..

tasha- are you doing anything real fun for the superbowl?? we are having people over here, as DH wants to be in his comfort zone... he is so excited, and my boys are excited too... are you planning on painting and stuff before you guys go get the nursery stuff.... i'm still trying to figure things out for us... i know that the baby will be in our room for a few months, so i think that's why i'm not rushing... and we are still not totally sure that it's a boy... so i think that we'll take another peek at our next US in 6 weeks or so.... i still do not want her to come out and tell us... DH said that since we are going to have so many US, that she should just tell us..

Kim- like i said to tasha we are having people over for the superbowl... we were invited several places and DH had to analize the TV's that people had and if they had HDTV, big enough, and the seating and crazy things like that... so i told he we should just stay here and have people over here.... so that's what we are doing.. on Saturday we are having my son's 3rd b-day here and i also have a baby shower on Saturday.. so i;m going to be quite busy this weekend.. your baby's room sounds neat... i love things that are a little different... you will have to post pictures when you are done with it...

hope that everyone else is doing well and taking care of themselves!!!

as for us... i was in bad sorts yesterday... had the nasty cold with a god aweful headache and of course my BP was way up there.... basicly out of it all day... got notthing done that i was suposed to... like trying to clean house for all the people that are going to be here saturday and sunday.. then i'm still trying to figure out what i'm going to cook for everyone and stuff like that!!! YEIKES.. so much to do!!!

we did get the BW back yesterday and it all looked good...they did a cystic fibrosis test and a TORCH virus test and rechecked my thyroid ( i have hypothyroidism, and take meds for that also)... they said that all the cycstic and TORCH virus' were negitive... which was a good relief... i still need to set up my next scan for the 1st week in March... just trying to find a good time..

take care all

Ellie--Welcome to you too! BTW--your name is at the top of my list if we have a girl...Ellie Rose...Ellie after my nana, and Rose after DH's Gram. We'll see if we get a girl! I hope you start feeling better soon...I did around 15 or 16 weeks.

Jeck--GOOD LUCK on your big trip! HE's a cutie pie, and he will make such a great addition to your life. ONe of my friends adopted a little girl from Guatemala in November. They had a very smooth trip, so I hope you have as much luck as they did. (She said their plane was full of families going to Guatemala to adopt...so maybe you'll meet some buddies for him!)

Colleen--Take it easy, girl! Don't wipe yourself out with all the happenings going on. I'm sure you'll have fun, though! I'm glad your bloodwork checked out well. That's great news.

How's everyone else?

Not much to report here...except I did order our nursery furniture last night! I was bummed because the original crib I was going to order online is now discontinued...ugh. BUT, we did find a website with a similar crib that offered FREE SHIPPING! Hallelujah! So, we ordered two, yes two, cribs, and a changing table. WE figured we should be prepared for two beds eventually. We got the convertible kind, so the kids can grow into them. If you want to check out the website, I think it was simplybabyfurniture.com. No tax. No shipping. It was the best deal we could find on convertible black cribs.

Take care girls, I'm off to walk my dog!

Hello Girls....

Ellie- welcome to this side of the boards as well... it's so great to see everyone moving along so nicely.

Jeck- good luck on your visit next week... I wish you the very best! Hopefully everything will be smooth sailing for you & DH.

Colleen- Yes Go Bears!!!! We we're still undecided as to where we're going for the SuperBowl. Our friends are having a party, My Mom wants us to come over, but part of me just wants to stay home and relax in my pj's on my couch. We'll see what happens... Well I just found out yesterday (kind of a secret) that the people at my work are throwing a combined baby shower (we have a total of 3 girls pregnant here) for us on March 1st. I wasn't planning to registering until the end of March so stuff wouldn't be discontinued by the time people started to shop... but it looks like we'll be going sooner than later now. Me & DH are actually off of work on Monday Feb. 19th (President's Day) so we're going to go to Babies-R-Us & Target that day to register. And we're going the 18th to purchase the furniture so it looks like all the painting will bedone before the end of Feb., which is a good thing I think. My fertility office asked for me to stop in one day so they could seemy belly... so we're going to go there on the 19th. I'm going to see if they can sneak in a scan of the baby so we can confirm it's a girl before we register... even though they said they are 99% sure.

Sorry I'm so winded today.... I'm just finishing a cup of afternoon coffee so that's probably the reason why.

Well hope you all have a great night!
Tasha

:D Thanks for the well wishes!!!

cmoscar - AWWW you added me and Jaden to the list, How sweet! He is a summer baby, last summer that is!! LOL!! His b-day is June 20th!!

buckeyegal - I will have to check out that site for a crib!! I know what I want but haven't found exactly it yet!! I am really leaning to one that is like a conversion one... Ok first time Mom question here, when it was conversion crib what exactly does that mean... I know some say day bed, toddler bed and so forth but do some convert to where its like a toddler bed with the rails too, if so what is that kind called???? I get all confused!!!

Oh I wanted to shout out to Nance and cowgirl too!!

thook thanks for the well wishes!! I can't believe how far along you are, just seems like yesterday you were posting your BFP!!! Time does fly!

Ok good luck to everyone with upcoming U/S's!!

Jeck it is so nice to hear from you! Your baby boy is so cute! I hope your trip goes well. When will you get to bring him home?

Welome to the other side Nicola and Ellie. It feels GREAT to get past that 12 week mark doesn't it? It is so nice to have such wonderful people to discuss everything from Super Bowls to discharges :-) and help the time pass.

Tasha the crib set is very nice and I really like the cherry wood cribs. Glad everything is going well for you.

Buckeyegal, I can't wait to see pictures of your nusury that sounds so cool!

Colleen I hope you are feeling better and getting over that cold!

Rachael how are you feeling? You have been through so much! Its time to be able to kick back and enjoy this PG. :-)

As for me all is good. I have made it past the half way point and I feel the baby move everyday now. My hubby even got to feel her the other night. :-) Time seems to be going by very slowly now. I have aches and pains and feel like I am waddling already it is actually kind of scarey since I have a long way to go! When I had my children at a young age I didn't get all these aches and pains :-) I know that is to be expected.

Take care everyone :-)

Jeck--Check the detailed descriptions on the conversion beds you look at. MOST of them convert to a toddler bed, then a full size bed. Some go from crib--toddler bed--daybed. Some do all the steps in between. The one I got is the DaVinci Emily Bed...it goes from crib to toddler to full. One warning--if you want one that converts to a full size bed, you'll have to buy the conversion rails extra. I went ahead and got them now, because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find them years from now! Good luck shopping!

Thankyou for the welcome to the summer babies thread. It feels really good to be past that 12 week mark and i can now feel my tummy getting hard and bigger and know it's not just wind
You guys all seem so organised when it comes to your nurserys. At the moment mine is a concrete floor, no windows, bare bricks, no roof but hey my DP is working hard to finish building it. I have seen some fantastic cots and sets in some shops here they are so pretty. I am not a very girlie person but love all the pretty girls clothes etc so i guess we might surprise everyone and have a pinky girl. We have thought of some names but not sure exactly what yet, we like Isabel and Isabella. We have decided to keep our final choice amongst ourselves because we want to surprise our family. But i will let you girls know.
Colleen i notice you have hypothyroidism i am the opposite and have hyperthyroidism i get my levels checked every month, pleased to hear yours is ok at the moment. I also take medication and am going to see a new OB on 19th Feb and will ask about breastfeeding, do you know if it safe to breastfeed when on thyroid medication, i have read so many different reports on the internet it gets confusing.
Jeck i love the name Jaden i am getting excited for you. :D :D
Cowgirl it must be great for DH to feel baby move i can't wait for that point we dont follow the superbowl here but i hope you all enjoy yourselves when is it?
Well i've waffled enough have to do some work
