Okay Girls,

It seems we are at a stand still. I guess I should try harder to write more often.

Elliecat - Welcome to the dark side. Here we love to worry and complain about averything (like typical pregnant women). In fact, now that I say this, I cried for an hour yesterday because I didn't think I could do this anymore. My husband was confused because I was the one who wanted this! It had just been a really long week and with all the problems I have had, I was a wreck. This week, I have been extremely tired and the m/s has returned. I was just overwhelmed! However, you seem to be doing well.

Buckeyegal - I am thrilled to hear you have bought the cribs too. I was starting to think I was crazy because I already had one! I love your room idea. I am more settled on the frog/pond theme now that my uncle passed away. I am going to work a memorial tribute to him into it. His favorite thing was fishing, so I will add a younger version of him to the room, fishing from the bank of the pond.

Cowgirlclass - As for everything I have been through, it is worth it. I love my children and they are my life. It is strange for me because my parents only live for themselves. To them, my sister and I were always just a burden. However, my boys are the reason I go to work. I love spending every waking moment with them. We all have an easygoing life and we all work together. The pregnancy is temporary (and has actually been better than the ones with the boys) whereas the baby is a lifelong bundle of joy. I am glad to see you are getting on so well!

Jeck - You are aways on my mind. You were a constant friend through my cycle and I wish I could meet you and give you a huge welcome home the day you bring Jaden home. I know how excited you must feel. Keep us informed of your visit!

Thook - You are way ahead of many of us! I cannot wait to see us all go! Some of us are at the halfway point and it is all downhill from here. How is your room going? I love the bedding. I saw it at Babies R Us, but I am not really the girly type. I almost feel sorry for Makayla, because mommy doesn't like pink and frills!

Crasmus - I hope your Bears win! I can't wait to see who does win.

As for us, I have been exhausted this week. Add to that, our house in Florida is right in the middle of where the tornadoes hit last night. I finally got through to our neighbor and she said everything is okay. She said they had debris, but that was all. Now I really want to go home. I am planning to go as soon as I can after the baby is born. I have no idea how long it will be though, because my last C-Section took over 8 weeks to get over because if an infection. Hopefully it won't take that long this time. I hope everyone else is well.

Happy Friday Girls.... Also GO BEARS!!!!!!!

I'm so pumped for the Super Bowl this Sunday..... We actually had a Super Bowl Tailgating Party here at work (catered in Brown's Chicken and watched the 85' Super Bowl Video).

Racheal.... sorry to hear your so exhausted this week. I'm sure having two kids and being pregnant at the same time isn't easy, but that's the joy of being a mom. I can't wait to feel like that... it will make me feel appreciated and proud to have a family. I hear ya about all the pink & purple... that's why we're going w/ red... it's girly but not too much (where I'd be sick everytime I walked into her room).

As for us we're doing good... just trucking along. DH & I are actually going to start registering tomorrow night. Since the people at my work are having our shower March 1st I need to get a jump start on it. I have also found this incredible website that custom makes diaper bags... so I'm going to order that this weekend too. I think we have decided on Aubrey Katherine as the name. Here's the website for any of you that are interested: http://absolutelyhandmade.com/

Here's wishing you all a great weekend!

Racheal, I love the idea of the tribute in your nursery. That's a very touching idea. I'm sorry you've had such a rough week...I'm sure the hormones don't help either! I didn't realize you still had a house in Florida? When will your family return? I guess I thought you were a Floridian at heart, who had moved to good ol' Texas! I'm very glad your house is okay, though. You guys were really lucky. I've seen the devastation on the news--just horrible.

Tasha--I hope you have fun watching your BEARS! I hope they do better than my Buckeyes did back in January. Good luck with registering--I think the whole concept is just completely overwhelming! Every time I step into Baby's R Us, I am just amazed at all the stuff we'll need. Let us know if you find any really good stuff. And, I loved the name you picked out....Aubrey....that's a favorite of mine, but I already have a niece named Audrey.....I thought that would be too confusing for our family!

Have a good weekend gals! Hope to hear from the rest of you soon!

Happy (or Sad) Monday Everyone.... My Poor Bears didn't pull through last night. Oh well there's always next year....

On a happier note we registered this weekend... very overwhelming, but I think we're pretty much done. I just want to add a few books & movies plus DH still needs to pick out a carseat for his car. Hopefully we'll be done soon enough... Funny thing is when we got to Babies-R-Us and it came time to pick out the bedding... I switched again. Now we're going with something more girly... DH thinks his little princess needed a prettier room. So here is the new bedding: http://www.babysupermall.com/main/produ ... 1beds.html

Here's wishing you all a great day.

hi there girls ... we are ok, got rid of the cold, but... i feel like a have a superbowl hangover :( :( (no i didn't drink) but because the BEARS didn't get the job done... the first play was awesome and gave the idea that they were going to win.... but we made it to the superbowl and we'll try harder next year.....

i did get through this weekend .... and am glad to say that it's over ... i have the next two weekend free... it's been a while for us to be able to veg out and do notthing... I know that we'll end up doing something, but no plans on the calendar!!!!!

tasha- i love the bedding.... it is so cute!! how long did it take you guys to register??? i remember that it took a long long time, and i ended up changing things around.. i went to my girlfriends shower Saturday and could not beleive all the stuff she got, and they are giving here a shower at work too... it's so cool.... it's been 5 1/2 years since my shower, and there are so many cool things out there.... there are a few things that we need to get, like a new infant carseat and maybe stroller combo set... the baby carseat that we have is now expired and have to get a new one.. and yes carseats expire... i told my MIL and she just about went crazy that they do not expire and we are crazy for getting a new one.... i showed her the expiration date and also a video clip of an expired seat vs a new seat in a crash test.... what a difference... oh yeah, and the bears didn't make it... so so sad... i was looking for our defense and couldn't find them, let alone rex.... yeikes

nicola-hope that you are doing well... it's good to have people helping out with buying all the stuff.... baby gear can get really expensive and having to buy it all at once.... will you get another scan before july 12th?? if you do, are going to find out if it's a boy or girl??

ellie-about breatfeeding.... i was on medication for thyroid both of my other pregnancies and BF with both.... i've know several people who have BF while on thyroid meds... i think that they say as long as you get it checked regularly... then it will be ok..

nance- thinking about you and your scan is only 3 days away.... hope that all is well

kim- hope that you too are doing well... how long is it going to be before yoy guys get your cribs and changing table... was it a long wait... my girl freind is due in 3 weeks and they are still waiting for their to show up.... but i guess that there is always a bassinet or playpen for a while... do you have a scan in a few weeks?? i do not remember... good idea on getting the rails... we made that mistake... but we figured it out... it just took a long time and tons of investigating!!

cowgirl- hope that you are well, and taking care of all the aches and pains... i think that i too am waddling and moving a bit slower.. i blame it on my back. each pregnancy and aging it self seems to make it worse. oh well... not much to do about it.... i love feeling the baby move and DH does too.... it's fun to imagine what they are doing in there.....

rachael- hope that you are well... good to hear that your house its ok... hopefully this recovery from your section will be quick and uneventful.. as i think that you have had your share of "events" during this pregnancy... how's the room going?? are you still working on the paint... it's cool that you are adding in a tribute to your uncle... have you gained you weight back from the whole tooth thing??

well, i hope that everyone is well and taking care!!

Colleen- well it took us about 2 hours to register.... Thankfully I looked online prior to going and printed a bunch of stuff off and did my research. However, I still went home that night and chaged a few things around. Overall though I feel pretty good about what we registered for. Now lets hope none of it is discontinued by then..... We've also decided to hold off on purchasing the crib, dresser, etc. until next month now. This way we'll have more time to get the room ready... I don't want to rush things.

Yeah it didn't even look like the Bears showed up for the game - except for the first quarter.... oh well! Glad to hear you survived your weekend... and hopefully you'll get to rest the next 2 weekends now.

Nicola- are you going to find out what the baby's sex is?

Nance- good luck on your scan... only 3 more days.

Hope everyone else is doing well and that your tummies are growing....

Hi All!

Sorry I have been MIA. Nothing serious, just really tired. I called the OB and she wants to run another diabetes test since I am high risk anyway. I did get some more work done on the painting, but it is slow since I slept about 30 hours out of the 48 in the weekend. Today I am dragging even though I followed the doctor's order to eat every two hours. Not sure why I am so very run down.

Tasha - I am so glad you are finished registering. I am not one for pick though. Other than the pick, I love your bedding. I already had the pick arguement with my DH because I am firm. I want my daughter to realize she is free to make her own choices on colors. I have outfitts of all colors in her room (though many are blues and greens because I love them). They are all "girly" in that they have flowers and other "girl" things, but no pink. I guess my mom's obession with lace and pink wore me out! I am glad your DH is getting involved though. My seems to be doing the same thing he did with the others. Real excited and helpful for the first few months, then he gets bored. That's okay, because he gets all excited once the baby gets here. I am afraid he has a short attention span!

Colleen - Believe it or not, this pregnancy has been a much smoother ride than my 8 previous. All of the other pregnancies were filled with constant trips to the ER and bedrest! I lost 6 of them and was blessed with my boys. I knew when I decided to have another one I was risking my health and the possibility of losing the baby as well. However, I have had little fear for the baby with this pregnancy. Most of my problems have been with me and not her. This makes it worth it. I have never been a very heathly person (I blame it on being a very early premie). My athsma and weak immune system leave me open to just about everything. In fact, last January, I had mono followed by scarlet fever. It is just a part of my life. As for the weight, I have gain about 2 pounds back, but that is it. This is with me eating deserts and snacks! At least the losing has stopped!

Cowgirlclass - I wish I could say the same about waddling. Everything with this pregnancy has been different. I still have people asking if my IVF worked and then get shocked looks when I tell them how far along I am. I have a small bump, but it is not really big enough for most to be sure I am pregnant. Oh well, at least I know she is growing!

Nicola - I hope you are doing well. I love to see you on here. You were another fast friend to me. I am thrilled you are past the 12 week mark. You do realize it is all down hill from here!

Ellie - I hope you get the chance to BF. I was kind of forced to with my first son (single broke mother!), but once I got the hang of it, I loved it! With my second son, I BF because I wanted to have that same closeness. I know for a fact I will BF this time as long as I am able to stop the blood thinners. Good luck with this, it was the best thing I ever did and at 2:00am when you would otherwise have to get up and make a bottle, you can have hubby bring her to you and just lay down while she eats.

Nance - You have been quite. I hope you are well.

Kim - You must really be getting excited. You are going to have your hands full! You should take this time to enjoy some personal time with DH. You will be surprised how quickly it becomes and afterthought!

I hope everyone does well tonight. We are going to a boy scout meeting for my older son and then I get to run home and finish my final for school. At least I will get a couple of weeks off before my next class!

Racheal- sorry to hear your so drained sweetie... I hope things get better for you soon. Thankfully you'll have some time off before your next class. I'm in agreement w/ you about pink.... I like the color, but I want her to be in other colors besides pink and purple all the time. So we have bought her green, blue & even red outfits. This way we'll have a variety of colors to dress her in. Because I'm sure everyone will be buying us pink & purple..... Thankfully the pink in her bedding is very light so it won't make me crazy.

Well it is so cold here..... about 15 below right now. Don't get me wrong it feels good to me (I think I get so warm w/ the baby that the cold is kind of refreshing).

Well here's wishing you all a great night... chat with you tomorrow.

Tasha

I will be fine. Like you said previously, it might be that I am running after two older boys, going to my university, running a cub scout pack, working full-time and squeezing in some loving with my husband that is running me down. I am glad though about having a couple of weeks off from school. i take 5 week courses and there is an overload of work when I am in class. I manage to stay as an A student, but there are times I wish I could get say #*#*#*#. Oh well, I still love a challenge. I will be fine. I am glad to see you are well. I hope the room is coming together for you.

Just wanted to pop in and drop a quick note. :-)

Welcome to the other side Nicola! I hope time passes by quickly and you have a safe, smooth and worry free pregnancy :-)

Thook- I really like your selection for the new bedding! I am glad you are doing well! Have you done your first glucose test yet? I am sure you are feeling lots of movement now and some of those big kicks :-)

cmoscar- Please oh please be careful. Your schedule sounds so similar to mine when I was PG with my daughter 14 years ago. I was very healthy and had a normal PG and was used to the schedule too but it puts a lot of stress on you. To make a long story short because my body was already stress by my routine. The smallest thing, a trip and tummble, caused me to go into labor at the end of my 5th month and start dialating. They were able to stop it but made me stay in the hospital for a full month hooked to an IV. After that I had to take it easy and not over exert my self. But the way the doctor explained it to me was this. Cooking a baby takes a tremendous toll on your body and these days we lead stressful lives, but the body can only take so much and makes decisions on what it can handle. My daughter did go on to be 2 weeks late and I had to be induced, I am sure it is because they pumped me full of medicine to keep me from going into labor. But please please please be careful. :-)

As for me and Naomi we are doing well. She is getting stronger and stronger by the day. In the evening all her movements can be felt from the outside. Last night I had to pry my daughters hands off my belly cause she kept wanting to feel and I was tired. :-) She is so excited and so happy it is a girl. :-)

I do have another delima though, however I shouldn't be worried about it yet. :-) Because I have had IVF the doc set my due date strickly by that June 18. I know this makes sense. However, by my US my date would be June 12th, but they are not going to adjust it. I just found out that my daughter district horse show is June 23 about 4 hours away right on the boarder of Mexico! Usually it is an hour away. My daughter did GREAT at State finals and she has been practicing very hard for this show to qualify for state and to have another shot at winning. It would kill me not to be able to go as I am her trainer and her mother. I am really hoping they move it back to the place they have had it the last 10 years that is only an hour away. I can not imagine going that far with no large hospital if I have not had this baby yet and the show is only 5 days after I am due. :-) Granted maybe I am being a bit optimistic about recoup time, but my other two children were very easy deliveries and I was back to normal activity very quickly. And also if I have already had the baby I would be okay with my hubby taking her and leaving that far. :-)

Okay sorry for the rambling and I know I should not be concerning myself with such things yet, but my daughter has been working so hard to make sure she is ready now, I can't seem to help it. :-)

Well take care everyone! And I am glad everyone is doing well!

Cowgirlclass

Good morning! I know how you feel. My due date is June 27th, but they have told us to expect to have the C-Section on or before June 13th. The problem with this is my oldest son will be away at camp (about 4 hours drive) from the 9th through the 17th. This means he will miss our family tradition. Our tradition is that the boy(s) would be the first people to hold the new baby (after the dr and nurse of course). We did this when Christian was born and Danny (our oldest) fell in love with the little doll. Danny is looking forward to doing the same with Makayla, but I am not sure how. I do have a tendancy for pre-term labor, but they have always stopped it until week 37. I would hate for my son to stay behind from his first away camp, but he wants to be there when the baby is born. However, in the end, we really do not have any choice in what happens. I worry about it, but God will decide what happens in the end. I hope you deliver right on time or a little bit early!

Good luck to your daughter, it is an exciting thing to enter and place in competitions. I did as a musician and even place 3rd in the national competition. I loved it until it became a chore my parents wanted me to do. I still play and I even teach some, but I am not as dedicated as I once was.

Good Morning Girls...

Racheal- I give you credit for everything your doing.... just be careful and take care of your little girl in there. However, I do find that when I keep myself busy I tend to think less about the pregnancy and all the things that worry me. I also hope you go a little early so that your boys can keep the tradition going... my fingers will be crossed for you.

Cowgirl- It's so good to hear from you... No I haven't done my glucose test yet. My doctor said we would talk all about it at my next appointment which is Feb. 20th. When do people usually do their first test? And in regards to movement & kicks... I really haven't felt a whole bunch yet. Still just little flutters.... however, my doctor & friends have said this is normal. Some of my friends didn't feel anything until week 24-26 with there first. Does that sound about right? Glad to hear your doing well.... and that your little one is getting stronger. I also hope that you go early so that you don't have to miss your daughters competition... my fingers will be crossed for you as well.

Hope the rest of you are doing well on this Tuesday morning....

thook, for my first pregnancy I didn't feel movement till real late like 26+ weeks, so I am sure 24-26 weeks is pretty normal for the first. :-) My doc said he will schedule me for the GTT around 24 weeks but I have heard of others doing it around 28 weeks so who knows. :-)

Cmoscar - Do you normally take your son to camp? My daughter's ride will only be that day but since it is so far away under normal circumstances would go a day early. But like you said it is in the Lord's hands :-)

Do any of you happen to know if the more kids you have the earlier or later you seem to go? I know they say later children seem to be bigger.

Well glad everyone is doing well. :-)

Cowgirlcass - I normally go everywhere with my son, but this is a Boy Scout Away camp where all the boys will go alone and there will only be Boy Scout Leaders and Camp Counslers. It is a first for us, but it should help him to become more independant and feel a little more mature. As for the timing of later babies, my first on was at 42 weeks (probably because they stopped preterm labor and kept me on the drug until 39 weeks), however my second son came at 37 weeks. My second son, they stopped pre-term labor also, but they stopped the drug once I hit 36 weeks and he was scheduled for delivery on March 22. He apparently did not like that date and came on the 21st. Oh well, what can a mother do!

Tasha - You are right about keeping busy. My OB asked me at the last appointment if I had noticed an increase in Makayla's movements and I just stared at her. Unless I take a nap or are ready for bed, I do not notice anything. After that though, I started paying attention and realized she is up for 10-15 minutes every 2-3 hours!

Well, I hope everyone is doing well. I have two doctors appointments over the next week and will be busy because of them. For some reason, I think the DRs are just wanting more money instead of just keeping us normal. However, that's what I get for being high risk!
