HAPPY SUNDAY
Sorry I have been MIA. As warned, my parents were with us last weekend and have had a really busy week at work. Trying to buy myself some credit so I can take it easier when in cycle. Have read back to my last post so have tried to catch up with you all!!! Mega post coming on ladies...............
Minerva - welcome - sorry sweetie I cannot help as never taken Metaformin. If you are concerned then call the clinic. They'll have an emergency number. Better safe than sorry. I have taken orgalutran and found that the site around the injection can get red and sore. It usually passes for me quite quickly.
WISCONSINGAL - all the luck in the world for tomorrow. Sending you loads of baby dust
Sassy- fellow ranter - I so hope that it is a BFP for you too. You so deserve it hun. Crossing everything for you both
mumtojazzie - a wedding in three weeks and ivf. WOW! How exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time. Brave lady!!
wannababyIVF - I know exactly what you mean. I should be getting AF next Wednesday and I am like so keen for her to show up on time so I can get this show on the road. Hope that all is well and that you can get started very soon. I will be right behind you! I have heard of false -ves but not false +ves on hpts. Think that they just worry that we may get a -ve, give up hope and go on a bender! I have done hpts the last two times but then I started bleeding both times on day 11 post EC. I think this time I'll try not to test and just see if I can get past Day 11!? Saw your post a way back about where to inject. I was told leg or tummy - no difference. For me I thought that leg would be easier but when I plucked up courage and did one in the tummy - it was much easier and hurt way less. Must be all the fat!!!! Yuck
mominwaiting - grow follies, grow! I understand that sometimes they can really show a growth spurt so let's hope that this is what happens for you
Dexter - 10 follies of that size sounds good. They don;t want them too big as they are 'too' mature. Good luck for ER tomorrow. Hope that all goes well
2BABabyMaker - welcome - really sorry I have done 2 different protocols but not had to have estradil so cannot really help you. I am sure that one of the ladies will know. If not just call the clinic and ask. There is so much to take in. Good luck for your cycle
PXV - Welcome to the site. Any news on your bloods. Think that you tested on Friday? You must have news by now!???
Jen1d - hello to my old mucker - did not mean to make you well up with my comment about 2 lines on the tests. Glad that you are getting started. Let us know when you have dates. I think that I'll be on for EC/Et towards the end of Feb
Steph - as others have said. You'll be fine with the shots. Looking at them is the worse. They actually hurt less than you think. You'll be a pro before you knoow it!! I did acu once a week at the start. Then I was going just before ovulation and just before AF. In cycle he saw me pre-Af, on Day 6 of stimmies and then just before and right after ET. I found that it really helped me relax especially when the little ones came home! Just got back through the post and read about your future SIL. I am so surprised that you were able not to say anything. I did not tell people for cycle 1 at all. I found it an added pressure with the lies. We then told my parents when I had the tubal surgery. We have told some people - mainly me where I was sick of people asking about the no drinking - bed rest at particular times. ECYI's list of excuses is good but it is hard when this has been going on for over a year. I felt like Jen1d says that at least I was in control of who I tell. I have found for me that it has helped. But then again I have not told my two sisters as I think they'll worry for me and keep asking questions. I have misjudged and told a couple of people who have been v insensitive but I would say they are really the exception. I have made it v clear though that I'll only tell people what I want to tell them and that I am not up for answering questions. It is a tricky subject.............I guess each of us has to decide what is right for them and do what is least likely to cause stress. But the subject is ill understood other than by people who are actually going through it!
Angela- welcome - I was on Dec-Jan but right near the start. I also found that so many ladies were there that it was hard to keep up with everyone. I also needed sometime out after our 2nd -ve just before Xmas. Anyway, it is good to have you hear. My dh cannot do any of the jabs at all. I like being in control anyway!

Would be nice if your dh could give you either the trigger or egg food. I sometimes feel that they are a bit left out!?
Julia - so sorry to read about your dh's ex wife. That is really rough. I am sure that it felt like a knife into you. I think that what you said about trying to stay close to our dh's is very important. 1st time through I was so obsessed. I guess that now I try to be a bit more relaxed about it all so that we can do/talk about other things but it is hard. Sending you hugs
Nerms - As you know, I am a complete believer in the acu even though I had for my 2nd cycle and the result was the same as the 1st time. It certainly helps relax me. Glad that it has been helping you too.
99 - good luck for ER which I think is due to take place for you tomorrow. Sending you the follie fairy!
Susan - sounds like our timing will be v similar. I don;t have to down reg this time. Straight into stimmies on Day 2 after AF arrives which should be next Thursday. If it is like last time then I should be at EC/ET by the end of the month.
Nimble - glad that you had a terrific 2wholiday. Beats a 2ww!!! I am sure that you are apprehensive after last time but I also found knowing what was ahead helped me control my nerves a little better on the 2nd go. We are here for you when you are ready & if you don't decide to jump on March thread instead
Charity - we all miss you. Thinking of you. Your words are always so wise. Hope that you & dh are having fun the old fashioned way
WOW. Think that is me caught up. That will teach me for getting 10 days behind! Sorry if I forgot anyone - did not mean too..........
So lastly to me. Had a really great weekend with my parents. Took them to see Connie in the Sound of Music which was fab. Avoided ivf chat until they were about to leave when they offered me my inheritance in advance to help us with tmt costs. Well that just set me off in a complete blubber fest! New business is going well which is exciting and taking my mind off tmt. Less stressful than last job which I left back last August so I could focus on me/us/tmt. Bought some of my drugs so I am ready to start shooting up when AF arrives. Should be going by next Thursday - only 10 days to go. WOW - seems to have come around quite quickly for me - think cause of Xmas, New Year and being busy over the last few weeks.
We have also put ourselves on the wait list for argc in London on basis that 3 cycles at 1 clinic is time to try something new. Costs of argc are so high but I have succumbed to their success rates. 22% at my age compared to 10% at my clinic (Hammersmith) for over 40 years. Heard wait list was at least three months so we were expecting to be seen in like May but we got the letter on Wednesday for our initial consultation on 1st March! So excited. That will probably be EC or ET day knowing our luck so will be at one clinic in the am and the other in the pm!!! OMG! So in good spirits right now as I have a plan for #3 and #4.
Please don't expect posts for me during the week as another busy one ahead for me but I shall be thinking of you all.
Lots of Love
Carolyn xxxx
