Everyone seems to be doing really well. I hope it stays this way. I am doing well. I have not had any more steady cramping and I have finally gained back the 5 pounds from my previous issue. I have my OB appoint at 3:15 today so we should get some more insight. I am feeling pretty good because I have done nothing for 5 days other than sleep and eat. I am getting antsy though. I really hope to return to work tomorrow at least. Hope everyone is doing well.

Nance - Congrats on the girl. Poor Colleen is the only one with a boy so far. I hope some the others get boys since they are such a joy!

hi girls hope that we are all well.... i too am looking forward to the snow here.... the kids want to go out and play, because it's not too cold out!!

rachael- glad to hear that you are feeling well, and no more cramps and good thing on the 5 lbs... bedrest can do a lot... are they doing the diabeties test today... or are you going to talk about what to do?? hope that your appointment goes well... do you think that you'll get a quick US?? we have an appointment tomorrow... i too love boys, then again i've not had a girl, i'm also not a girly girl... i love mud, sports and bugs and stuff like that... so it's fun with boys... not that girls don't like that stuff.... just some girls i think are just born wanting lace and pink frills..

tasha- looking forward to the snow?? i think that it's not supposed to hit till after 6:00 so hopefully you will not have to drive in it... i guess that it's really not driving in the snow, it's driving with people that forgot what snow is... and can only go 5 mph in the fast lane with 4 wheel drive... sorry... the roads were cleared this am, and i still got suck behind a poky poky driver and was late for my appointment... your 3d/4d on the 17th... cool.

nicola-good luck on getting setteled in, try not to work too hard!! hopfully you will have everything done and the cost will not be too bad... it's hard when all the little things cost so much money...

nance, kim, cowgirl and everyone else... hope that we are all well and having a GREAT monday....

as for us, we are ok.... my sister want to get married in vegas at the end of April and somehow thinks that i'll be ok to travel... (one month or less before we have the baby).... then she said... well you guys could drive there if you do not want to fly.... it's a 24+ drive,,,,, i feel bad because she was going to get married in CA in June, but then we found out that we are pregnant, so she postponed everything, and now just says she wants to do it soon.... she is very spontaneous... and does not want to wait... so i'm going to ask doc tomorrow and see the look on his face when i ask him.... i'm sure that i'll be on bed rest by then if this pregnancy goes anything like my lasts...

well, take care.... have a good day!!

Colleen- yeah I'm ready for the snow... just not the driving part. It kills me how people around here forget how to drive even though they have lived here for several years. I'm supposed to have dinner tonight w/ my girlfriends, but not if it starts snowing before 5pm. Otherwise I won't get home until late tonight.... Well hopefully your doctor says you can go to Vegas in April.... we got married in Vegas and I just loved it. However, I'm sure if you can't go she'll understand.

Hope all of you girls are doing well... and staying warm and keeping those babies healthy.

Hello all :-) Sorry I have been MIA :-) It has been a busy week here. Our anual rodeo is going on and my daughter and me are very involved with the equine side of 4H so lots of events the last week. :-) Now we are busy with the equine special olympics, but that is usaully just the weekends :-) along with fitting in all my daughter's normal barrel races :-) I have been having to take her everywhere since my hubby has been out of town for two weeks. I will be glad when he is back :-)

rachael - I am glad you are feeling better. I hope you don't have anymore episodes like that until June :-)

Colleen-your comment about the others driving in snow made me chuckle :-) I like snow when I am visiting and don't have to live in it. :-)

Glad eveyone is doing so well. It is so nice to hear all the Good Reports and not all the worry reports :-)

As for me all is good minus the fact I sprung my ankle Sunday. It hurts and I don't want to take any medicine, but I will live. At least I didn't go into labor. With both my other children I fell and went into labor. With my son I was 37 weeks and fell on wet concrete going into work cause I was trying to get out of the rain. I went to the hospital and they stopped it cause my son was very small. With my daughter I slipped from the next to the last step coming out of the tractor when I was 5 months and went into labor and had to stay in the hospital for a full month because I dialated. So I was quite relieved when no labor pains started :-)

Take care everyone and please be careful in all the snow!

Cowgirl- it's great to hear from you.. I get worried when i don't hear from people in awhile. Sounds like your busy busy busy... which is good , but try not to over do it. Also I'm sorry to hear that you sprained your ankle..., but thankfully it was nothing worse than that. Try t relax and take care of that baby in there.

Thanks Tasha :-) I know what you mean, I too like to know how everyone is doing. I frequently read the posts but don't take time to write anything mainly because I am busy or don't really have anything new to say. However, I really want to stay in contact till the end, I can't wait till we are all ladies and waiting and to see the birth anouncements come pouring in. :-)

I sure wish Ophee would let us know how she is doing. :-( I think about her quite often. She has probably found a twins board somewhere that she is communicating but I do think about her all the time.

Take care everyone,
cowgirl

Hello Girls!

I had posted earlier, but for some reason it did not show up. So here I go again!

Tasha - You are always to very chipper! Your pregnancy is just flying by! Six months, wow! We seem to be breezing through all the stages of pregnancy very quickly. BTW I love the crib. I love woods with the darker stains. In fact, when Makayla is older, I will be giving her the bed that my great great grandmother was given as her wedding gift over 100 years ago. It is made of Mahogany with a dark red stain. The bed is in our guest room right now, but she will get it as soon as she is ready!

Cowgirl - I am relieved to hear you are okay. You really have to be careful with a history like that! I am with you on wondering about those that have strayed from the threads. I still check in on the others who did not get pregnant on the October thread. In fact, some of them have gotten pregnant on their next cycle.

Colleen - The bedrest is one of the worst things in my opinion. My OB was happy though. They did not do the glucose test today and they are going to hold off until I reach 27 weeks because the urine tests have been coming back with very little sugar in them. They did add an iron supplement but the problem with it is it seems to make my heartburn flare up. Oh well, at least I get to go back to work. I am sure my desk is covered with work! As for boys, I love them! We love to camp and hike and fish. I am going to do all of these things with our little girl because I refuse to have a frilly girl who squells ever time she gets dirty.

Nicola - I hope you get settled again. I know moving is hard!

Nance - I am glad you are staying healthy. Keep warm!

Kim - Just to let you know, I loved BFing. I had to with my first son, but I fell in love with the intimacy it and BFed until he was 13 months old. My second son was a breeze until he was hospitalized with Meningitisat three months old. I did pump for the entire month he was sick. He nursed again for about three months before he decided a cup was quicker. He was a bit of a piggy! I wish you luck with your goal. It is worth the work and gives very good personal time to the babies!

Well, we are facing a new obstacle. My husband's work just announced lay offs and we are waiting to find out if my husband is one of the lucky ones. If he gets laid off, we are going to be fine. We have some savings left and we own the property in Florida outright. As long as he returns to work before the baby, we should be fine. It is just stressful waiting for news. We do not know if they will tell us this week or next month. It is a little scary. Oh well, at least we have each other. We are going to have a brand new bundle of joy in just a few months. We are still really excited and that will carry us through along with the help of God.

Stay warm and round!

Hello everyone!

I hope I can join you, I don't seem to fit in anywhere!! and here is the nearest match!!! (that sounds so ungrateful!! )

I have quick read a few posts and recognise a few of you here..it is so mad that here we all are in the second timester when a few weeks ago we were all menopausal (some may still be! )

Must say a big hello to ellie...how you doing not long now eh! well ages actually but I am sure it will go real quick! hope you are doing good?

Are any of you in a lot of pain? I am in pretty much daily agony, it is apparently my adhesions due to the amount of surgery I have had...it is real bad, I have a trapped nerve (I think, near my left hip) at the mo as well which I am awaiting a formal diagnosis before I can do something with it, it stops me walking some days and makes me cry!!! I was made to go to A and E last night by my midwife and after 4 hrs waiting was told (and not even examned) that this was normal with IVF!!!!!! paloney......they made me so mad!!!!!!!! they then rang an hour after getting home to say can I go back for an appt with the early pregnancy unit on Wednesday! amazing go to A & E and get seen 40 hrs later! so any avice would be gratefully appreciated!!

I am large and look approximately 6-7 months gone already but I was a stone heavier with bloat from the cycle itself, are you normal size now? they originally said it was due to being twins originally, but twin 2 passed over 8 wks ago..........

Oh and my due date is 31st July 2007!!!!

Take care all

Angellica xx

Angellica - I am very sorry to tell you, but I also had this undiagnosed pain. On the bright side, when I went to the ER, they told me I was having a misscarriage. I laughed at them and made an appointment to see my OB. She said it was likely from the surgeries and the pregnancy combined. The good news it, it only last about three weeks and my OB gave me pain pills to help me sleep at night. As far as can you join, of course! In fact I was looking around for you yesterday and was going to PM you and see how you are doing. Welcome back!

Good morning to the rest of you. I hope everyone is doing well. I am going to post our updated infor shortly!

Good Morning Girls.... well the snow is here and worst is yet to come. They are thinking 6-9 inches by the end of the day (crazy). I'm hoping my work will tell us all to go home... , but I have a feeling that won't happen.

Angellica- welcome to this side of the boards.... it's great to have you back. Sorry to hear your in so much pain. Hopefully they can give you something to ease the pain or else it's going to be a very long pregnancy for you. Talking about large.... I think I've finally popped. I actually look pregnanct now and not just some lady w/ a chunky belly. I'm just amazed at how hard it is.... thankfully no stretch marks yet, which is a blessing. I'll be starting my 6th month this weekend.

Racheal- that bed sounds beautiful... I'm sure she'll be so excited to get it when she grows up. That's wonderful that you guys were able to keep something like that in the family from 100 year ago. Such a special memory....

Well I hope everyone is doing well and those people that are getting snow and staying safe. Chat w/ you all later!

Tasha

well hello girls... we are ok... looking outside watching the snow pile up.... it looks like fun... but my OB appointment was canceled and my sons Karate is canceled.. but they still had school dispite many other schools closed in the area... the roads are kind of crappy..

tasha- i think that we are at the 6-9 now... thankfully our neighbors work closed, so he snowblowed our drive... the kids and i shoveled yesterday from the anow yesterday, now there is even more out there... it was fun, but my back is paying the price... hope hope hope that you can get out early, as they are saying the afternoon rush is going to be worse then the morning rush... hope that you did not have to drive too long this AM.... My hubby only works 15 mins from the house, but it took him 35 this morning, altho he does drive all back raods with 4x4... I'll be saying a prayer that you are let out early!!!

Angellica- welcom over here... i know that you were on the 1st trimester thread with us, i wondered were you went... glad to hear that you are doing "ok"... i hope that the pain gets better.... were is the pain?? in the front or hip or leg?? i know that i get really bad sicatica and it's like my hip and shots down my leg... otherwise if it's belly pain... try a warm bath, not too hot, but warm and add some salts... and make sure that you are drinking plenty oh water... i too look rather large... hope that you get better soon... take care of yourself!!!

rachael- i know about hating the bedrest... it was awefull.... especially having to have others do things that you have always done!! glad to hear that there is none or very little sugar in the urine.... they are watching that closly on me also, as i had the glucose test early that was high.. did they tell you not to eat sugary stuff.... they told me that, as if i eat a ton of sugar stuff... this pregnancy my cravings have been veggies... i ate a whole bag of baby carrorts yesterday and could have eaten more... as for the iron pill.... i was told not to lay down after taking it for 1 hour... so i try to take it in the afternoon... they make me sick to my stomach, but after a little bit, i felt like i had more energy... hope that they get better..

cowgirl- good to hear from you... glad that you are well, minus the ankle and all... lets try not to fall... well i'm sure that you weren't trying to fall to begin with, but we really do not want you going into labor now.... wait a few months... i love the snow, i'm usually like a big kids out there playing and sleding and making snowangels.. but not this time around... i'm trying not to do too much, but i did shovel the drive yeaterday and pulled my boys around on the sled a little bit... they have fun sledding down the hill on the side of our house... i also like cold, as i'm normally a warm person, other then being pregnant. i do not do too well in the heat...

well, take care all, and have a great day!!
colleen

does anyone else have cravings?? and for what... i'm loving veggies, which i can not get enough... but they are expensive this time of year...

Hi Colleen-

Well no word yet if we can leave early... although I'm hoping so. It took me about 1 hour to get to work this morning. I took Lake St. all the way in verses taking 290, which is still backed up. That was very nice of your neighbor to snowblow your driveway... thankfully our association does that for us. So when are you rescheduled for your appointment? I have my next one next Tuesday the 20th.... that's when we'll talk about glucose testing.

Well hope the rest of you are going well....
Tasha

PS- I'm craving fruits... oranges, grapes, watermelon...... I can't get enough of them.
