Hi Ladies

Hope its ok to come and join you all. I've been reading your posts but never quite felt I could join in but since now in the 2nd trimester, I'm trying to feel more relaxed.

Racheal and Angelica, I too have been in quite a bit of pain. I have bad pain sometimes when I pee, I raised this with the midwife who after checking for urine infection fobbed me off with 'oh its just your uterus moving'. I am convinced its more to do with the endo but its like talking to a brick wall..

You all seem to know if you are having a girl or a boy, we are still trying to decide if we want to find out, I think I do but dh is opting more for a suprise at the moment.

Rachael, your cot set is so cute, I haven't bought anything at all, all I've done is made a list of what I like. The 'nursery to be' is a tip still packed with boxes from clearing my Mums house when she died in the summer. You all seem so organised.

Feeling in a bit of a bad mood today. My ivf consultant specifically asked the NHS to provide us with a second scan at 18weeks (in Scotland you are supposed to get 2 but in my region they only give you one unless you have a problem, funding issues!). Anyway they refused, pretty bad considering I had my Ivf at an NHS hospital (paid for privately though). So it looks like we may have to arrange for one privately in the next month, its £250, not that the money bothers me, not after all the cost of ivf, its more the principle.

Anyway sorry to rant. :x

Hope you are all doing well and not to cold.....

Wendy - Welcome to our little group! As far as the endo, it might be the cause, but in all honesty, pregnancy is actually the best thing for endo. In some cases it will complete reverse the progress of it and nursing will help this as well. They told me that is why I am in better shape than my mother and my sister. My mother had two babies within one year, never nursed us, and never got pregnant again. She had to have a hystorectomy(sorry for the spelling) at 29 due to the lack of response to the medications. My sister has never been pregnant and she is about to undergo a hystorectomy as well and she is 27. I had one baby in 96, waited a few years and had another on 2000. However in recent years, my endo has flared up again. Now that I am pregnant again, I am hoping for another repreive. I am also premenopausal so I am almost finished with all of it. They tell me I have only 2-5 years of periods left so I can handle that! Anyway, good luck with your little one and I hope you are able to work out a scan.

Stay warm, safe and round!

Angellica wow a boy i am so happy for you. When i used to nanny i looked after mainly boys and it was great fun. You can start to think of names now. I am sure your staff will find it amusing but will be so happy for you. Thanks for the reiki on the sciatica i am going to get MIL to work on me. I really wanted to watch that programme on babies in the womb but i fell asleep on the sofa and kept waking up for 2 mins and dropping back of.
Colleen thanks for the advice i will try the ice and heat. DP will love it because he had to do the same last week due to a sore back and screamed like a girl when he did the cold part and i laughed, i guess what goes around etc.
Cmoscar i love your bedding set. Where did you get it from? Any news yet on hubbies job?
I went to a fiesta in the village yesterday and the local school and nursery school parade around the streets. Its great they all dress up in fantastic costumes and i had a huge lump in my throat yesterday (dont know how i didn't burst out crying), all the babies dress up to wave as they go past and i am already thinking of what i will do next year.
Hope you all have a great weekend

Hi gals...

Sorry I fell off the wagon for a few days...

Wendy, Welcome aboard! You will love it here. I have endo too, and I haven't had much pain during my pregnancy, but I hear pregnancy is the best thing for endo. Good luck with everything! I say go for a "surprise"! I'm one of the only other ones not finding out the sex of my babies...we can keep all these gals in suspense together! hee hee! I do hope you have better luck getting an US.

Jeck--Welcome back! He is a cutie. When does he come back home with you?

Nance--Sorry to hear about the PB. I actually saw a woman on the news who was pregnant and got salmonella from the PB. She's fine, but she did get dehydrated from being so sick. Just keep drinking liquids...I'm sure you're fine. [BTW--I haven't felt my little ones moving yet either....well, I don't think I have. I'm getting very anxious to feel them kick. I hope we both get to feel it soon!]

Racheal--The bedding is precious! I love it! Any news about DH? I am so jealous of your weather right now.

Tasha--How'd the scan go? I want to see her!

Angelica--Congrats on the boy! Yeah! (I'm secretly hoping for at least one boy!) Have fun returning all the frilly stuff...

Everyone else--I hope you're all well!

As for me, I had a scary moment on Friday. I was walking my dog and fell in the snow! Falls scare the @#$@ out of me. It wasn't a hard fall, and the snow definitely acted like a cushion. But of course I was paranoid. Luckily though, I haven't had any spotting or cramping, so I'm assuming all is okay. (Of course, I fell after my OB's office closed, and I didn't think it was worth a trip to the ER....ugh!) I just want this snow to melt, so I can get back to a normal routine! I did go to Baby's R Us yesterday to register...my good friend went with me. Wow! There's so much to think about! But, it was fun, and I'm glad I didn't take DH with me. He's too practical for that kind of stuff. It was a bit hard to know what things to get and what things to skip since I'm having 2. Space in our home will be an issue!

Chat with you all later...I'm going to just sit here and wait on a kick or two!

Good Afternoon Girls!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!

Tasha - We are awaiting your results! I bet you little girl is just beautiful! Did you get another confirmation that she is a girl?

Kim - I loved the weather this weekend, but it seems I may have loved it a little too much. We went hiking on Saturday at a city park with my Tigers. Then on Saturday night, there was a massive gas pipeline explosion and when it happened, both DH and I ran to the area of the fire to see if anyone needed first help. We are both trained in first aid so we did not even think twice. It was 1/2 mile run there and then we had to walk back. The good thing was no one was hurt and the explosion was in an empty field. Then on Sunday, we went to a state park and hiked around the lake there. Today I am sore and swollen so I am keeping off my feet for the most part. As for DH's job, there has been no news. They are still not releasing the date they will inform all of the employees. They did have a meeting explaining all the bad decisions that got the company there. Funny thing is, it was mostly upper level management problems! I will keep you all posted.

Jessica - My dear friend! He is such a charmer and he looks just like you and DH! You guys look like the perfect family! When is he coming home? How big is he now? I bet he is starting to crawl! I was truly upset to have missed you. I will be there for the next round, which I am praying will be soon and you will bring him home! Sending loads of love and happy thoughs!

Nance - I am so glad to hear from you. I hope you life is settling down and you are able to get ready for your little one!

Ellie - I know what you mean about the dreams. We have seen many little ones and thought about our little one doing all those things! As for the bedding, I bought it off of ebay for only $103.00 USD including the shipping. I spent several hours working on the mural in the baby's room and on her dresser which I am refinishing. I am really getting excited about her room and having everything done.

Angellica - Again, you are in for a treat with you little boy! I was looking at photos of the boys when they were little. I just loved dressing them in sailor suits and baseball uniforms! They were so much fun!

Colleen - I hope your weekend went well. You have been quite this weekend. I hope you are feeling well.

Nicola - We haven't heard from you recently, I hope all is well and you are getting rounder by the day.

Wendy - I hope your pain is subsiding some.

As for me, I am just chilling out at work. This is abusy week for us since our youngest son has a banquet on Friday. He will be receiving his Tiger rank and a few other awards. He is so very funny. He has told everybody including his teachers that he is a big cub scout now! Tonight is of course all about my older son. He has a boys scout meeting tonight. He is attempting to earn his first rank (Tenderfoot). He has a big campout coming up in March that should be fun.

Hope everyone stays round and safe!

Welcome Wendy :-) Nice of you to join us :-)

Thook- I am looking forward to hearing all about your scan :-)

cmoscar - I am right there with you. I enjoyed the beautiful weather too much this weekend too I think.

Angellica congrats on the boy! I found out I am having a girl but still haven't broke down and bought any girly items yet. :-)

Hope everyone else is doing well and not over doing it! :-)

As for me I am well. I did have a very scarry episode last night. I was very active all weekend from morning to night and have not been drinking very much water and drinking too many sodas. Well last night while laying in bed watching TV the room started spinning out of controll. It seemed to go on forever but in reality was only a minute or two, but very scarry none the less. It spun so much I thought I was going to hurl and I don't even get sick on rollar coasters. I have never experienced anything like it before. I was laying on my left side and everything when it happend. I had my husband get me a trash can because I really thought I was going to be sick and knew I couldn't get to the bathroom. After the room stopped spinning I went to the bathroom because I still felt like I was going to be sick. I drank some water and then while sitting on the potty the room started to spin again. Nothing like what it did just a few minutes before but scary none the less. I got my husband to call his sister she is an OB nurse and she said that wouldn't have been all that uncommon had I been laying on my back but since I wasn't it was probably brought on by dehydration and is not uncommon at my stage. It really scared me all I could think was what if I had been driving to work (40 miles one way on interstate). It came on so sudden and I was totally incompasitated. Even my bowls kind of let loose. It was a very scarry occurance. If I even get the slightest bit dizzy again, I will take a trip to L&D. Now that I am past 22 weeks emergencies go straight to L&D. :-)

Well hope everyone else is well. It has been quite on here lately. :-)

Take care everyone,
Cowgirl

Cowgirl!!!!!!!!!

You really should be more careful! We over did it, but we always drink water when we are out. It does sound like you got dehydrated. What you described is the exact same thing my oldest son tells us when he does it! He is a habitual dehydrator! He will carry drinks with him and just "forget" to drink them. We have ended many an outing because he does this. When you are pregnant, the sodium in sodas can also bring on high BP. You really need to rest! Didn't you and the other girls tell me that just a week or so ago??? I am glad you are okay. Try to rest and drink lots of water!

Cowgirl, Yikes! I do hope you have a very large water bottle attached to your hip right now! SEriously, a friend of mine got dehydrated around 24 weeks, and ended up on bed rest for the remainder of her pregnancy. I'm not sure how the dehydration led to the bedrest, but it's something we all need to watch out for.

Racheal--You are such a good citizen! I think pregnancy is a good reason to stay away from explosions! :D I'm a former lifeguard, and I don't think I would have even considered doing what you did. You are amazing!

I'm forcing myself to rest tonight. I got a new vacuum sweeper today (my first "new" one ever--it's amazing!), and I've literally been sweeping every little inch of my house! Since I have a dog, it became my mantra today to rid my house of dog hairs! Well, I was successful, but I'm feeling the effects on my body now. I'm tired, and my tummy is a bit achy. Who knows, they might be kicking?

I hope everyone else is well! Tasha, I'm looking forward to seeing your pics of Aubrey!

Hello Girls.... sorry I haven't posted all weekend long (we were so busy). The scan went great - it's definitely a girl and she's not afraid to show that at all! DH said, great we're going to have our hands full w/ her. Attached at the bottom of this email is a link you can go to to see all her pictures... some of them look the same because she didn't cooperate fully. However, as soon as we left she got really active... I think she likes to play games.

Cowgirl- That is so scary.... I hope that you'll carry w/ you at all times from now on. Please take it easy and make sure to drink, drink, drink. I hope your doing much better.

Racheal- Sounds like you also had a very busy weekend.... hopefulyl this week will be slow for you so you can catch up on your rest. Also I commend you on being such a wonderful person and running to the aid of others... I don't know if I could have done that knowing I have to worry about a little one inside of me.

Kim- I would have been so scared too if I feel in the snow... however, I'm glad to hear that everything seems to be ok and you didn't experience any spotting. Congrats on registering... isn't it so overwhelming? So much to choose from.... however, I think we finally finished today. I just need to add a carseat for DH and then I'm done.

Jeck- it's so good to hear from you.... your little one is so adorable. When does he get to come home to you & DH?

Angellica- congrats on the little boy... how exciting. Now we have a little partner for Colleen's baby boy (if that's what it is for sure)....

As for the rest of you girls I hope your all doing well and taking it easy.... chat w/ you all tomorrow!

Tasha
