racheal- you are still in our prayers and hope that it will all be worked out reall soon... makayla will have love, that's all she needs right now... try not to worry, i know that's it hard, but try... i can not even think of lemonade right now, as we are getting more snow and ice... but i think it sounds great if and when we ever warm up here.... what ever happens c-section or vaginally...you'll have your little girl in your arms.... but we'll put a little hope on the vaginal way... i think that i'm thinking May 20th... just my thought, as doc said i will not go past the 25th of may... so we'll see... Have fun on your "date".... i love dates with the kids!!

cowgirl- you are right my EDD is the 15th now, as we so not have the exact date... doc said i will not go past May 25th.... so i'm thinking it's going to be the 20th (just a gut feeling), but we'll have to see who goes first... i too am excited, but i also want to wait.... just for me, right now it's easier to have him inside, then out.... when the weather is nicer i'll want him out.... i just hope that it's not too hot... i do not know how you girls down there can stand the heat... like i said.... give me my pool and a margarita... that's my only way to cope... but i think that i'm not going to get that much pool time in this year... as we have to wait so many weeks after delilvery to swim..... that's another reason i want the baby sooner rather then later...

tasha- i agree about waiting for the warmer weather, just not too hot.. and you made me want portillo's .... yum... it's been a while since i've had that... DH and i used to get that every thursday when we lived out that way... they have one here, it's just kind of out of the way, and pain to get too.... i think that i might call DH and ask him to pick it up, as he's 1/2 way there already!!! good thing that you are going to your parents... i just can not wait for this cold/snow to end.... i love the snow, but i've had my fill already!!!

ellie- love the name isabella... and sam is cute too... i do not think that it matters at all boy/vs girl names... it's a honor to the little boy.. i hope that his parents are honored... take care and it's fun keeping the name a secret.... we'll have to pick a name first, before we can even keep it a secret from family... we're stll looking for "the name"...

take care all!!

So do any of you girls have any fun plans for this weekend???? I'm super busy as usual... tonight is actually the only night we don't really have plans. Tomorrow I'm getting my hair colored (thank god), and then we have my little sisters dance competition almost all day long and then Sunday My sister, My mom & I are going downtown Chicago for my sister's modeling photo shoot. It should be fun and she's super excited... I'm trying to spend as much time w/ her as I can... she seems to be having a hard time right now. I think she thinks that when the baby comes I won't have any time for her. Even though we are 12 years apart we are super close...

Well enough about me...

Hello gals!

Ellie--Can you talk to a specialist back in England about the meds? That would piss me off to find out now....however, like the other gals said--you're last US looked good, so she's probably just fine. Keep your hopes up. You are right about having a positive attitude right now, she needs it from you. Good luck, and I hope you find out better news.

Tasha--I'm glad your shower was fun! Have fun shopping... :) I'll see Pam tomorrow at her niece's wedding. It'll be fun to see her again. Be careful in all that snow/ice! We're actually clear of it down here.

How about this tune..."99 days until baby comes home, 99 days til she's here! Count one down, try to lie down, 99 days until baby comes home!" [I should write commercial jingles, right? ha ha!]

You girls have your margaritas and beers...I really want an appletini!

Racheal--Have fun with your "little man" this weekend...I"m sure he will love the one-on-one with mom!

I'm glad to hear everyone else is well...you all sound busy, round, and happy!

As for me, I'm a bit worried right now. I started having a lot of "moisture" down there...I think I"m paranoid because my friends' sister is 29 weeks, and her water just broke...so she's now hospitalized and it's looking like she might have to deliver very soon. Am I paranoid? Is it even possible for my water to be leaking right now? I think I"m just going to drive myself nutz. ugh. Any advice girls? I've only been wearing a panty liner, and it was wet enough that I changed it. No blood or spotting....someone please just tell me to chill...

Have a good weekend!

kim- just chill.... ha ha ha... they do say that the hormones can make you have more discharge.... and especially during the 2nd tri... it's probably just that.... good thing that you are out of the ice/snow... it really stinks..... i'm really itching for some flowers and green plants.!!

take care.... you can also have it tested to see if it is your waters... it's quick and painless if you are really worried

Hey Ladies!

Ellie, I am so sorry you have had added stress to your pregnancy! You and Isabella are in my prayers. Take care honey! I think it is so wonderful of you to want to honor little Sam. I like it! You could always go with Samatha... but I like sam just as well...

thook- hope you have a great weekend. I know how your sister feels! My oldest brother is 15 yrs older than me and I became an aunt at age 6. I was all excited about the baby till he got here and then I was like "OH" not so great! My nephew and I fought more like brother and sister than I did with my brothers because he was closer to my age than they were!!

cmoscar my dear friend thanks for worring about me!! I have been missing my baby. I am ready to go back to visit. I did order his bedding. I had been watching the Farmyard Friends at Pottery Barn. PB is no longer going to carry farmyard friends and have it on sale. Well I finally bought it!! I just got the bumper and quilt but I found the matching sheets on Ebay and got those in today!!! I still have not bought a crib, I guess because I haven't fully decided where to put him!! Our bedroom is downstairs and there is not another bedroom downstairs and I don't want to put him upstairs by himself and I don't want to move upstairs too. So I think we are going to put him in our room. I know this may sound crazy and I don't mind anyone saying so but we have a huge walk in closet that needs to be reorganized and I have played with the idea of taking the closet door off and putting his crib in there?!?!? Then when we move him upstairs we can have the closet reorganized. Do you think this is crazy???

colleen~thanks for the prayers, never can have too many of those. I just keep telling myself that God has perfect timing and he will be home exactly when he is supposed to be. I would really like for him to be home before his 1st b-day June 20th. But he might not be home till around august... Mircles do happen!!!

angellica~we fell in love with the meaning of Jaden's name "God has Heard" and we have had it picked out every since we got pregnant the 1st time and I didn't think we would use it but we decided that we still loved the name and couldn't find anything that we loved more so we went with it. We had Jaden Michael for a boy and Jaden Elizabeth for a girl.. So of course we are going with Jaden Michael... (hubbys name is Michael LOL!) What spelling are you looking at? the same as mine or different?

Kim~ are you finished with your room yet?? I loved the black and white look... You will have to post some pics when you have time!!!

Nictor my dear, where are you?!?!?!?

Have a great weekend and take care!!

Sending lots of love and prayers your way!

Jeck- Yep spelt the same! We are probably going to go for Jaden Kennedy as my Dad who has been gone for nearly 4 years was called Ken and Michael (my DH's name also) Dad was called Eddy who as some of you may remember died the day of implantation....so it is very fitting for us!! My due date is 2 wks after the anniversary of my Dads death, and I keep having visions of my waters breaking while walking back from the cemetery!!! we shall see... I bet you are madly excited I am sure it wont be long till he comes home, PMA!!! :D Oh and the closet idea sound great not at all crazy to me, you could always call him Harry Potter..  No seriously why not?! x

Buckeyegal - I am sure all is well....you are probably just being over cautious due to the other ladies waters breaking....Breathe and chill x

Ellie - If I can can find out any info from my specialist re: that medication I will and let you know just let me know the details and I will ring him on Monday if you think it may put your mind at ease? I hope otherwise all is well and your chilling!! get your MIL to do some Choku Rei on Isabella, wont do any harm....great name by the way, and the Sam thing is a sweet idea I am sure thereill be no objections...x

Cmoscar - Thanks for the advice, personally I do not know which is worse!! C-Section or Vaginal!!! I am dreading both.. I am sure it will be OK but I am scared of tears and infections etc... errrghh!!! :D He has to come out one way and I suppose I will cross that bridge soon enough.... x

Everyone else I hope you are good.... Take care all.

Thanks to everyone for thinking of me. I have arranged for a friend who is Spanish to come with me on my next visit so she can translate for us so hopefully we will get some positive answers or know more details.
Angellica thanks for offering to speak to your specialist that is so kind but please don't worry about it i am sure you have questions for yourself to think about. The medication i have been taking is Methimazole when i was in England i was on Prophylaouracil(not spelt correctly!) which is safe however i think they do use the other one if you are allergic to Prophylaouracil. I am trying to be relaxed but every so often i have my teary moments. MIL is going to do Reiki on me tonight i'll get her to give Isabella some to. By the way i love the name Jaden, and having a combination of both your fathers names is great, we did think about it because both our fathers are passed but it isn't right on a girl she would be Baron (combination Barry and Ron) and calling her Barroness might me a little hard for her to live with.

Jeck i think putting Jaden in the cupboard sounds fine, i am sure you will make it homely ( not like Harry Potter at all) i had to laugh at that comparison. Don't worry about space i think everyone copes when the time comes, at the moment we don't have a roof in our new home but at least we will be able to see the stars!!!!!! A super big skylight.

Buckyeyegal i am sure all is well i have read lots of articles that say you get more discharge in the 2nd Trimester but if you are finding it hard to chill speak to your midwife.

Colleen i don't want to make you jelous but all our trees are in blossom and it is 20 degrees, although no grass because we have only had about 2 weeks of rain all winter. I didn't realsie you couldn't swim after you have had a baby. I know baby can't but i was hoping i could use it as a way to cool down in August, although i guess its obvious due to infection.

Tasha you weekend sounds fun hope you enjoyed it and your little sister had fun dancing. Hows the hair?

Cmoscar hope you had a fun shopping trip with your little man, i can't wait to do that.

Take care all

Hello everyone! I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Thook were did you find your birthing classes? Are they being offered through the hospitial?

Sounds like everyone is moving right along. :-) I am counting down to marker 99 days left :-) only 5 more days to go :-) Once again I over did it this weekend. No blood but I am having terrible posterior pelvic pain on my left side. This only seems to happen when I over do it. No danger to the baby so only I suffer! :-) Does anyone have any non drug related remedies for alieving the pain? When I first started to get this, not really over doing that I remember, sleeping with a pillow between my legs helped. But I continue to sleep with a pillow between my legs and it is still happening. It really hurts to get in and out of my car and walk sometimes, but I am coping. :-) I just need to get this one project finished. It is really not much work, no lifting and not even much bending but still seems to take its toll on me.

Well I hope everyone is well!

Cowgirl- yeah I found my childbirth class through the hospital... it is a 7 week course - every Monday night for 2 hours. It's just so late at night... 7:30-9:30pm. I told DH he's going to have to make sure I stay awake... they told us to bring 2 pillows & a blanket or comforter... great sounds like nap time to me.

Hi gals..

Yawn...I'm very tired tonight...

Tasha--Your classes are scheduled like mine. Why do they do that to pregnant women? Seriously! So how did your first one go? I got to see pam on Saturday, and she had lots of nice things to say about you. I can't wait to meet you in person!

Cowgirl--I hope you manage to take it easy. Feel better soon--I wish I had some pain relief ideas for you, but I don't. sorry!

Ellie--I'm with you about the swimming thing...I had no idea! Does anyone know how long we'll have to hold off? Not that I'll be excited to get into a bathingsuit or anything, but it would feel good to swim in a cool pool in August!

Angelica--I love the idea of Kennedy for the middle name...what a clever way to combine your fathers' names!

Jeck--Yes, we are getting closer to finishing the nursery! I think the bedding is going to look great after all...we decided against bumpers because of the whole SIDS thing...now I need to get childhood photos of grandparents and the aunts...we're going to make black/white photo family trees of each side of the family. It should turn out pretty cool!

I have chilled out about the whole "water" thing...I figure it's normal for now. I'll see my doc next week and check with her. I am looking forward to my first "Mothers Of Twins" club meeting this thursday. Dayton has a long-standing club that helps parents of multiples deal with the craziness that two kids offer! I figure it couldn't hurt to start networking and getting advice from experienced twin moms.

Hope that all of you are well...I'm anxious for spring...it's just around the corner!

Kim – This is very normal. It could be an increase in vaginal discharge, but even more likely, it could be leakage from you bladder. Since you are carrying more babies than the rest of us, it is to be expected. The pressure put on your bladder could cause small amounts of leakage. This will pass once your little ones are hear.

Jeck – As for the closet, I have done this! When Christian was 6 months old, we moved him into his brother’s room, but to give him his own space, we renovated the closet and his crib fit perfectly in there. He stayed there until he was ready to move to a big bed. I really loved the idea at the time because we only had a 2-bedroom house. Now we have the 5 bedroom and it took us forever to decide which room would be hers. I am glad you are getting things ready for him. We are also going to keep Makayla in our room until she sleeps through the night. I am really excited about meeting her. Do you have a period on when you expect to be able to pick Jaden up?

Angellica – I have been having similar dreams! I wake up at least 2x a night with a nightmare of my water breaking like it did with Christian. I was paying bills online when my water broke with Christian and I was 37 weeks along. As it turned out, my great grandpa died around the same time. I think he did not want me to go see him that way, so he called in a favor!

Tasha – It sounds like you had a busy weekend. I hope you didn’t over do it. As for the jealousy from your niece, she will see that it all works out. I worried something awful when we were having Christian and in the end, Danny loved his baby brother. It changed later when Christian got older, but as a baby, he was Danny’s favorite toy!

Colleen - I hope you can hang in there till May. May is usually beautiful weather and you still have some time to get back in shape before pool season is over. I am praying to last until June 9th. This way I can go to my son’s day camp. He had to go last year with DH because of my work and they had a blast. This year I want to have some fun!

Cowgirl – I hope you are still doing well. Did your daughter do okay at her competition? Right now we have the Houston Rodeo going on and it is really neat to see the youth participants. I love watching the horsemanship and seeing all the beautiful horses.

Ellie – I pray for your little one. I am hoping she is fine and that the meds have little affect. I worry about these things since I am taking so many medications, but only time will tell.

Nance – I hope you are doing well!

I am exhausted. DH and I were hanging drywall on the ceiling today. I have this need to fix the big hole in the ceiling that is a direct result of my oldest son playing in the water and forgetting to turn the water off before he went to school. We only have 2 more pieces to hang and I feel like a railroad. I took today and tomorrow off so we could get some work done around the house. I hope everyone is safe and warm.

hi there girls... it's been a long weekend and a crazy day... we went to medieval times... it was really fun MIL took us, as it is really pricey, and we are trying to watch the $$... it was great...

kim- all the people that i know that had twins made some long lasting lifetime friends through the twins group... hope that it's great for you!!! glad that you are finishing up te nursery... any photos yet??

tasha- how did the class go?? who is your instructor.. just wait for the wonderful movies... i think that they are towards the end of the series.. good luck on staying awake.... there was a time when we were doing the relaxing breathing that i did fall asleep... it was ok, i told DH if i started to snore, wake me up!! have fun!! are you taking any more of the classes?? glad that your hair turned out good, i'm going in next week.. and congrats to your sister...

cowgirl- i too am looking for the 99 day mark!! i do not remember if you said that the pain was back, like your tushy.. if that is where it's at.. try the heat for 10 min, then ice for 10 min... it helps me out, at least for a little bit... my chiro said to heat a coffee mug, and use that to rub the butt/hip area... my pain is usually in my lower back, and then starts in the middle of my butt cheek, and radiates down my legs... if that sounds like yours, then it is most likely sciatica pain... sleeping with a pillow between the knees is good.

ellie- you really make me want more warn weather... i love to garden and dig out in the mud... who knows how much i'll be able to do this year?? i was hoping to have a veggie garden, but i do not know if i'll be able to dig it out and stuff, as there is such a short window to plant everything... and it's right at the end of my pregnancy... i had my first DS on May 30th, and did not get to swim untill the end of july.. it is because of the infection thing, i was also told no long baths either... only short or even sitsbaths.... i'm hoping that i'll still be able to take a dip in august after the wait time... i love swimming!!

angellica- i love the kennedy and i love jaden too... that was one of the names i liked, but it's too close to our DS's name (caden) and we know a Jaden... we are still working out names...

jeck- i think that the closet idea is great, and he'll feel cozy and comfortable... i think that it would be really hard to have him upstairs while you are down... i think that it sounds like a good deal all around!!

Rachael- hope that you are doing ok, and hanging in there.. we are still praying and keeping our fingers crossed for you!!!!

hope that everyone has a GREAT day, and take care of your big/little or inbetween belly!!

Good Morning Girls.... Hope everyone is doing well today!

Kim- my first class last night was actually fun... we talked about the signs of labor, what happens when your water breaks, effacement & dialation, watched a movie and then did some breathing exercises on the floor. I think I've decided to try everything drug free... however that decision might change when I'm actually in labor. I have also decided I want Enya playing in my room... it will help me relax (I'm hoping). Yeah Pam said she got to spend some time w/ you this weekend... she said she had a great time at the wedding. I'm glad you've calmed down about your fluid leakage..... I'm sure it's nothing to be alarmed about. However, keep us posted as to what your doctor says.

Racheal- hoping you'll be done hanging the drywall soon... so you can relax and take it easy. Also a few dates to add to the list... I have my Glucose Test Monday March 12th & my next OB appointment Tuesday March 20th.

Colleen- we actually have 2 instructors... a younger girl (she is a nurse there) and then a lady by the name of Johanna (spelling might be off). She said she has been teaching this class for 20 years... she is very knowledgeable. No I don't think we're going to take any more classes since this one covers so much (breastfeeding, bottle feeding, changing baby, we get a tour of the facility, etc).

Well hopefully everyone's staying nice and healthy....

Tasha
