hi there girls.... we are ok.... i just went out and spent too much money... Carters is having a 50% off all baby stuff sale... really good deals also.. i got some outfits for 3.99 and some winter/fleece sleepers, biggers sizes for 3.99 (they are normally 18.00) so if you have a carters near you... i'd go check it out... you can look for locations at Carters.com... i also got an additional 50% off of one item for signing up on their sight... i picked out a coming home outfit... i like a complete matching out fit and blanket to come home in...

tasha- we did have johanna for our class also... she was good.. did she make sure that you had a water bottle with you... i remember that was one thing that she really talked about.... we only took that one class also, my girl friend has taken just about every single one offered... as for Carters... there is the one in Huntley, that i went to... but i think that there is also one in Hoffman Estates... they really had some good deals, and you can stock up, because even if they do not fit next year, you can return anything anytime as long as you have the receipt...

hope that all is well, and that Rachael finishes soon so that she can take it easy...

Colleen- yeah Johanna made sure we all had our water... she stressed water water water! Well if I go shopping for more baby cloths my DH will probably kill me. I actually just bought 3 outfits for myself from Old Navy... I love that store. However, I'm stuck on a coming home outfit... I have no clue what to buy. I'm thinking I should have 2 outfits ready just in case... you know Chicago weather. I'll look on their site if I have time...

Thanks,
Tasha

Colleen- the Old Navy in Algonquin Commons has a pretty big maternity section... I just went there last weekend and bought a cute brown casual dress w/ a jean jacket. Then I went online the other night and ordered some camoflauge capris, jean capris & a cute floral dress to wear over the jean capris. I hope I like them.... Ok well the just put a Carters in Hoffman Estates off of 59 & Higgins so maybe I'll get DH to let me go there this weekend and check their stuff out.

Hi gals!

Not much time today...DH is hungry, and I need to start fixin' something.

Racheall--I never thought about my bladder! Yikes, so I might be wetting my pants? I guess I'd rather it be that than my water breaking! Oh dear...

Tasha, you go girl. I always admire those gals who can do a drug free delivery. I would like to pretend I'll be brave, but I find that highly unlikely.

You gals have put me in the shopping mood....I might be charging up a storm this weekend!

I'll check in later...have a great night!

Kim- I'm saying drug free right now, but we'll see how things turn out... I'd like to think I'm strong (I have a high tolerence for pain) but I've never been pregnant before so I might change my mind while in labor.

PS- can you cook for me too????

Good Afternoon Girls!

I hope everyone is doing well. I hurt everywhere and we still have a little more work to do on the ceiling before it will be ready to texture. The good thing is that I have been sleeping all night long without waking up! I did manage to do some work on Makayla's room over the weekend. I finished the water, Snoopy (Uncle Tommy) and I worked on the border, though I am not finished with that. I posted some more pics at:

http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q209 ... omUpdate2/

We are going camping this weekend! I have been waiting for this ever since we did the emergancy ET two days early. I missed the campout at the beach because the ET was early. The weather is suposed to be perfect too! I am so very happy. I went through some of the camping gear this morning and I hope to have everything packed by tomorrow at the latest.

Tasha - As for drug free delievery, if they told me I could go natural than I would do it. I have been in labor with both boys and it is surprisingly harsh, but not impossible to deal with. On my first it was worse than the second because they induced me. The second was not nearly as painful, but they stopped it and performed the C-Section.

Kim - Be careful with DH's wallet. My DH gives me this tired look when I ask for money, but he never complains. I bought Makayla a "Got Milk?" shirt yesterday. I also picked up two sheets, 8 receiveing blankets and some bibs. We are very close to being finished with the shopping part. I am glad too with DH having been laid off, we need to really watch the budget now.

Angellica - I hope this are going better at work. If you see anything interesting, let us know! I love window shopping for baby stuff.

Colleen - Are you that certain yours is a boy?I was still holding hope that you will get a big surprise on D-day. In the end it doesn't matter I guess. Especially since we are all just glad to be pregnant.

Stay warm and Safe!

hi there everyone.... once again i'm back from shopping.... we went to old navy and kohls today... i picked up some copy blankets 3 blankets all the same, as it seems that is what my boys cling to... i learned to have copies to be washed and when they get ratty... i cycle them all in, so they wear the same... my boys never took a passy or an amimal... just their blankies... so the blanket copies are on stand by if the baby becomes attached, otherwise i'll return them... i get them now, because later when you need a copy they are nowhere to be found...

i also found some cloths for me... i was just looking for something to wear to the baby shower, but there were some cute capris pants on sale at old navy... i'm still not thrilled about what i'm wearing to the show... i just look huge... i'll look bigger then my cousin who's shower it is...

rachael- love the room it's so so cute... hope that you finish up the ceiling soon... i really hate working on ceilings... we drywalled the basement ceiling, and i think that my shoulders, neck and arms hurt for weeks.... try and take it a little easy!! have fun camping!! i enjoy it, as long as it's not hot... i really do not like the hot weather, if you haven't noticed... as for the boy thing.. i'm not sure.. but i just feel that what we saw was correct... we have another level II US next week... we'll see if we see anymore "parts". everyone that i tell... or say that we really think that it's a boy say... "wow. three boys, my three sons"...

tasha- hope that you can do the drug free route... it is do-able... just think that there are thousands of woman who do it everyday... we tried with the first, but after 10 hours of induced labor (hope that you are not induced) and no further dialation, i caved and got the epidural, but then they had to turn if off anyway after 5 minutes because my pressure dropped so low after being so so high, i threwup and lost hearing for awhile... felt better after they turned it off, but the pain was there..so it was kind of forced natural birth. it's a completely different kind of pain... i went to the old navy at algonquin commons... i actually only life 5 minutes or so from there... it's a great place to shop, usually when the weather is better tho... i found a few things... the capris were cheep.. i think the pair that i bought was 10.00..

kim- have fun shopping .... i really need to stop shopping now... the only thing that we really need to get now is a travel system... i just do not know what i want... i saw one that has a tandom for my 3year old to sit on, because i really do not want a complete double stroller..as my 3YO only will use it every now and then... so i'm reading reviews and still am stuck!!! other then that, i bought what we need, and found a good deal on diapers at amazon... they had a $25 off $100 of pampers... so i bought a bunch of diapers...

angellica- have fun this weekend, and let us know of anything great that you see.... as far as our nursery... we have not started... but i'm trying to get what we need, just incase we do not have time later on... i'm just waiting for my bedrest to come... the baby is going to be in our room for a while, and we are not completely sure that it's a boy... so i feel that i'm really not in a huge hurry....

hope that everyone else is well...

Hi Gals....

Oh, Tasha, you really don't want me to cook for you....my dinner's are pretty pathetic right now! I barely scraped together some chicken tacos last night...

Colleen--Capris!! I can't wait for warmer weather to wear them! I think I'll head to Old Navy this weekend to see what I can find. I found lots of good deals there after Christmas, so most of my maternity wear is either from Old Navy or borrowed. Thanks for the tip about the sale! I'm actually not getting an official "travel system"...those double Gracco strollers are soooo heavy. I'm actually hoping to start off with a Snap N Go, and then move on to a smaller umbrella-like double that has reclining seats. That way, the kids can use it once they're out of their infant seats. (It's still slim enough to fit through store aisles...at least that's what the reviews say...)

Racheal--I look forward to checking out your pics...I'll do that after I post! As for my DH's wallet....I'm a very independent gal and have my "own" accounts....I guess I'm selfish that way! So, he'll never have to know what I spend. Only I will know--yet, I hate to part with money! Have fun camping. That actually sounds painful to me right now, since I haven't been sleeping well...I'm glad you haven't had to deal with that!

As for me, I'm in a lot of pain today. I think it's those darn round ligament pains. It feels like a ton of stretching, and it's worse when I get up from a chair or try to roll over in bed. My students felt bad for me, so they were very sweet and cooperative! I guess I'll have to milk this for all it's worth. All I know, is these babies are growing FAST! I hope the pain isn't going to last all the time, cause it's very uncomfortable. Of course, I have wanted this for so long, I'll deal with it, right? :)

Have a good night girls. I'm off to rest!

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. I've been really busy at work so I have not had too much time to check in but I am doing well. Work is insane still and taking up most of my time these days which I guess is a good thing because it is making the weeks fly by. You guys all seem so much more prepared than me with the Nursery. We purchased the furniture but it is not expected to be deliverd until sometime in May. We are trying to purge old the old stuff out of the house to make room for all the new baby stuff but it is taking longer than I thought. My DH works afternoons into evening so we are rarely home together and since I can't really move anything myself it is slow going.

Kim - I am sorry you are in so much pain. Have you tried sleeping on one of those nifty pregnancy pillows? I have one and it is great. It really helps get you in a comfortable position. I hope you feel better soon.

Colleen - That is a great tip to get doubles of things. I am going to do that. Don't you love shopping? It is my favorite passtime these days. I am trying not to spend to much and will only buy things if they are on sale and a real bargain. I am popping out of all my cloths so I need to purchase some work maternity clothing. I prefer dresses to pants, I just find them more comfortable but it is hard to find anything that makes me look a little less like a tent these days  I hit Carters last weekend. It was great. I got about 10 outfits for less than $100 including a snow suit for next year that was 70% off. I was not too sure what size to get. I'm expecting to have a big baby so I was confused as to purchase newborn or 3 months? I got a few of each and I figure I will not take the tags off and will return what I do not use. The great thing about Carters is that you can return anything whenever you want. There is no date limit as long at you have a recipt.

Rachael - The room is so adorable. Makayla is going to love it. It is fantastic that you are sleeping through the night. I have no trouble falling asleep but I generally wake up at 3:00/4:00 in the morning. As long as I get in 5 hours I am pretty rested for the day. Have a great time at your camping trip. Let us know how it goes.

Tasha - Drug free! Wow, you are a very brave woman. I give you so much credit. I personally am planning on taking the drugs. I am such a baby when it comes to pain and am scared to death.

Angellica - How are you doing? I hope you are well. When is your next Dr's appointment?

Jeck - How are you doing? Any news on when you can bring home your little angel?

I appologize if I left anyone out but I am thinking of you all.

All my best,
Nance

Good Morning Girls-

Racheal- the room is beautiful.... your little girl is going to love it. Have a great time camping - just make sure to take it easy.

Colleen- you sound just like me when it comes to shopping... I love it. However, we have bought so much for the baby already that DH has kindly asked me to stop or else we're not going to have room for everything. Besides my cousin has given us all of her baby girl clothes.... she is now done and has no more need for them. Also one of my girlfriends is a GM of Old Navy so she already has a hamper filled w/ clothes for us.... our little girl is going to be so spoiled it's crazy. However, that's less I have to buy which is great.

Kim- sorry to hear your in so much pain... I too yesterday was starting to feel all achy. However, today is much better - except my feet are killing me. It feels like I went running for several miles and I didn't - trust me. Thankfully DH has been very nice and has given me foot & back rubs nightly.... gotta love him!

Nance- don't worry we haven't even begun on our nursery yet. We're actually going this weekend to pick out paint and then going shopping March 25th to purchase all the furniture... it will get done sooner than later - I hope.

Well for all of those girls that I missed I hope your doing well and keeping your bellies protected...

Tasha

hi there everyone... we are back from the Dr's appointment... it was fine... nothing too new, i did the GTT and will get the results back tomorrow or the next day... i'm hoping that it's all ok... no weight gain this appointment, so we are holding steady right now... did mesure big again... measured at just about 28... so a bit big.... the baby was moving around like crazy, i think because of the gulcola.... now we wait till wednesday for the level II US...

nance- it was good to hear from you, and that you are keeping busy... i'm sure the time is flying by... i am a sales-aholic, if there is a sale, i'm sucked in..... i do love Carters, and the returns are grea... i would say that mostly you'll use more of the 0-3 or 3-6 then the newborn, unless the baby is early or very small... i actually only have a VERY few actual newborn outfits, like 3-4 ... most of the sleepers or sleeper gowns are ok big too... and they can grow into them...

kim-we are having a warm up this weekend... they are saying in the 40's for us... it's been so cold, that i think it's shorts weather ha ha  .. i know about the double stroller being so heavy, so i was looking for a smaller sit & stand type, but there are not too many to choose, and the reviews are not that good... i think that i going to drag DH to the store this weekend to check them out... it's just so hard to deceide!!! sorry about the pain... i too have pain... i find that sitting or standing or laying in any one position for a little while, it's pain to move, and i go really really slow!! i hope that your pain gets better, and just think... it's not forever!!!

tasha-i love shopping... i can get in big trouble tho.... i get the itch and want everything!! it's great to have hand-me-downs... i have the cloths from my other 2 boys, so we really do not need a lot... it's just funny how my maternity cloths from a few years ago are way outdated... there are a few things that i will not wear, and a few that are "around the house" cloths... and you can always use new tops!!!!

everyone elae, take care of your baby bellies

Looks like everyone is getting on well. Can't believe how far some of you girls are and won't be long til babies arrive!

Sorry I haven't posted this week. My eye infection was pretty bad. Just made me want to close my eyes and sleep. Not easy with a 2 year old! I couldn't even look at the computer screen it hurt so much. It took a good week to get over, but think I'm finally there. Hope I might soon start blooming!

Nance- Glad the time is flying for you but take it easy with work. Hope your getting planty of rest when you get home.

Rachel- Enjoy the camping. Sounds great fun. Don't seem to be able to see your pictures on photobucket. Will try again in a bit.

Coleen- Sounds like you love shopping. Any excuse is good isn't it! My maternity clothes from DD are winter ones, ans as I'll be big in the summer i'll have to go buy new things. Shame! Interesting what you say about the buggy. My little girl is only just 2, but is really not keen on the pushchair. I have to bribe her when we are popping to the shops as otherwise she would run riot! I am not keen on the idea of a double buggy, and am going to see how we go without one.

Kim- Sorry your in pain. Have you been offered any physio? Hope it doesn't last long.

Tasha- Glad you are well.

How far in advance did you girls in the UK hear about your 20 week scan? I'll be 18 weeks at the weekend and nothing yet. Guess I'll phone if haven't heard in next week or so.

Take care all
