Hi everyone,
I had my ultrasound yesterday and it is definately a baby girl! The tech was saying that she has already developed some of her personality. When the tech wanted her to move, she wouldn't, she moved when she wanted to and when she did, she really was moving. The tech said that she appears to be stubborn because she moved on her own time. My DH starting laughing because he says that about me all the time. Already she has a part of each of us, my stubborness and his level of activity.
According to the doctor, everything looked great, but wanted to mention something that he saw. Apparently, the baby has a bright spot on her heart, which sometimes is an indication of down syndrome. My risk based on mybloodwork and 13 week ultrasound is extremely low. He isn't concerned and is not recommending a follow up. He also told us not to be concerned either.
I felt movement for the first time last Saturday. Now that I am aware of what it feels like, I feel her quite a bit. It is the coolest feeling! I listen to mediative music in the car and at night and we read to her a couple nights a week!
Now that we know for sure that it is a girl, it's time to think about the nursey. I would love to do a bunny themed nursey, but havent been able to find a bedding set that I really like. The search continues....
I hope that everyone is doing well. Take care!
