Quick question - has anyone bought anything for the baby yet? A department store here is having a big baby sale for the next week, with most items 25-50% off everything. Is it worth getting a few things? I had a look today and was tempted!!!
Any thoughts?
Take care

1st IVF 04/05 -ve
2nd IVF (FET) 06/05 -ve
FET July - cancelled as embryo did not survive
3rd IVF (stimulated cycle) - no embryos!
4th IVF 02/06 -ve
January 07 - went interstate to a new clinic and got BFP!!!!!!!
Missmolly - nope, haven't bought anything yet but I do find myself checking out the children's departments now
It's really been a rough week for me - I caught something from DH. I've been so sick the last 3 days. Coughing, sneezing, body aches, sinus pain - just awful. I'm so afraid it is hurting the baby. The sneezing and coughing is so intense. I'm taking Tylenol only for the severe sinus pain - and not very often.
Oh boy, can't wait till I feel a little better and get back to the RE for my next u/s to make sure everything is still OK. Such a worry wart
Miss Molly~ the only things I purchased were when we were starting IVF. IT was this VERY soft creamy blanket and a little chennile sleepy toy, rag thing that was super cute. I would buy more but we want to know what we are having first. I don't want to buy a world of solid yellow or green.
Also, I don't know about everyone else but we want to get everything before hand but not too early due to the fact we either lose our office or our guest room for the babies. Not sure where either room will go but not moving all the furniture yet.
It'll be here before we all know it!

Kberry I was told that you can take robitussin, I took it before my transfer and it knocked my crud out in one day. Ask you Dr and see if it is ok for you to take robitussin, just the plain kind, not any with the added stuff. It really mede me feel 100% better and fast.
I haven't bought anything yet. When I got preg the first time back in 1995, I had an entire nursery set up in my bedroom, with everything you could need for a boy or a girl, and I miscarried and had to take everything down, and put it all away. I was horrible, so I learned them that it is best to just wait. With my last preg, I found a swing that was to good to pass up at a garage sale, I didn't put it up I just stored it, so that wasn't so bad. If you find something that is worth buying, I would get it but not set it up, until after 12 week mark at least, that way there is no emotional attachment. That is what I plan on doing now if I find a great deal on something. Plus if God Forbid, you don't get to use them, you are set for any baby showers that arise, that is what I did with my swing, I gave it to my best friend for my godson!! Of course that was before I knew I would need it lol
I have not bought anything since the set of Christmas onesies that I bought when I was 5 wks pg. But, I have already set up a baby registry with Target and a baby wish list on Amazon.
Yesterday we finally had our 3rd US. it was supposed to be done last monday, but the billing rep at my clinic had to wait for aproval from the medical director at my ins co. they didn't want to pay for another US so soon. my clinic has had to get special approval from my ins co. for each US. I'm happy it worked out because each US is about $800 (for a twin PGcy).
Anyway, everything is looking great. Baby B is slightly bigger, but they are very close. They even have close HRs, baby A's is 171bpm and B's is 175bpm. It's amazing how much they've grown in 2 weeks. They we're just tiny specks in their sacs, you could barely see them. now in the US it looks like they are filling up 1/4 of their sacs.

Congrats on the u/s. It is pretty amazing isn't it? Also such I relief to know all is going well. I'm happy for you! I found out I have a UTI and it did not clear up with the first round of anitboitics so I am on my second round. I am nervous about being on so much medicine with the paper and hope this second round can be the end of it.
Hope you all have a nice weekend. Hope you're all feeling well and getting through the m/s. Most of us are soon approaching where it might start to back off a bit!!
Congratulations on seeing the heartbeat. I bet you are so happy.

I just wanted to say that I really respect you. You are so welcoming to everyone and know just what to say when things go bad. I just got through reading the twins post on the IVF board. I am literally shaking and sick to my stomache, I'm so mad. I wanted to get on that board and just tell her off, but you were so good at writing what you believe without getting mean. It is so nice to read from all those girls who have morals in their lives. I believe the only thing stopping her from being a good mom is herself.
Where in Boise do you live? I used to live off Overland and Franklin for about a year and than 3 years in Middleton. I miss Boise so much it's a great place to live.
Anway hope all you fall ladies are feeling well. Good luck on all your upcoming appointments!!
Shanny~ what a breath of fresh air! Thank you!! That post was so odd. She started the topic herself but didn't really want anyone other input. I read her other posts off her profile and I really do think she is having a hard time because there is so much negativity and sadness. I understand how you feel for sure!
That's so funny that you use to live here! We are on Meridian and Chinden. The four corners within 1/2 mile have three twonships in them. Meridian, Boise, and Eagle. It's a great area and we love it here. There is so much to do and it's such a family friendly city. Do you ever come back? Did you live here for work or family? If you ever want to visit again, you are always welcome to stay with us. We LOVE house guests!
Attempting to do some cleanig but then Anne of Green Gables was on t.v. and now the motivation has left me. Better get on it for a while or dh will begin to wonder if I slept my day away! This would not be uncommon!!!!
Have a great day mommies-to-be!!!
