daniellewngs-
sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you. Just got back from san Antonio, having polyps removed. I understand what you mean by travel being a factor. My dh and I travel 450 miles (one way) just to see Dr. Schenken in San Antonio. We first got aquainted with him when I was diagnosed with endometriosis. At that time I was living in Austin, so SA wasn't too far. However, I did not use Schenken for my treatments as he had never treated endo on the lungs or diaphram. However, after we got that under control and still didn't end up pregnant I contacted Schenken. He was wonderful. Unfortunately, we didn't start any treatments until after we had already moved to the Wichita Falls area.
I don't know about Schenkens office paying anything for military...would be worth lookign into. We paid cash up front and it was tough, but worth it in the end. So much so that we are going to start going through it again in a month or so.
Our travel isn't so much of an issue because DH and I are both teachers, so we just do it on our summer vacation. Fortunatly, we have family that we can sort of tolerate that lives within 45 minutes of the clinic, so that helps.
Also, I am sure you know, but all your travel, motels, gas, etc. are tax deductible. We have sure kept every receipt.
Anyhow, I have never been on Dr. Schenkens web site, so not sure exactly what it says, or if it is worth it but here goes:
www.uthsca.edu
Here is there phone number: 210-567-7575 or 1800-272-7859
if you happen to call it is best to address all questions to Brenda. Debby is wonderful, but I think Brenda is more knowledgeable.
I hope that you IVF worked this time. Please keep us posted. We will be praying for you. If you have any questions feel free to pm me:)
