Haylie big hugs to you. I can't begin to imagine what you are going through right now - my heart really does go out to you. Like what all the other girls have said, its a tough call. I also think you just have to go with what your heart tells you. Thanks for the good luck wish for my scan. I have had the early scan too - at 6 wks 5 days. I cried and cried!! Can't wait til this one although I know I am going to be so nervous again beforehand.

Wisconsingal - any news?? Big hugs to you too. It must be such a worrying time right now. We are all here for you. Let us know how its all going.

kbarry - my m/s subsided at week 9 however the empty stomach feeling remains! The m/s feelings used to remind me of the day after too much vino! - I would really look forward to my meal but as soon as i tucked inti it I would feel sick! But i would always feel sick before eating it too because I was hungry. The only thing I enjoyed eating was fruit and beans and toast! However now in week 11 it is getting better. Instead of the nausea I just feel famished every 2 hours, particularly in the morning. I went to work the other day after havibg a big bowl of cereal at 7 45am and by 9 45 my tummy was rumbling with hunger big time!!

Hi ladies, mind if I crash the party? I've been posting on the Oct thread but it's rather quiet, so thought I might join you as there seems to be more action on this side :D

Anyhow, I got a BFP at the end of January - a complete surprise, as we were waiting for AF to come to get started with our first IVF. Around seven weeks along I had some bleeding which was very scary as I've had a m/c before and that's exactly how it started. So far all looks good though - I've had several scans and there seems to be no particular cause for worry. But of course I do - have had a hard time with a lot of nightmares of miscarriages etc.

Physically I'm feeling pretty good; what little nausea I had from week 6 to week 9 is mostly gone (and never had to vomit even) and it's only evening time when I even feel pregnant (that's when I get really bloated). I'm eagerly waiting for the 12 week mark although I know from experience that that doesn't guarantee anything.

Have a great new week everyone, I'll take time later to read all your posts!

And Lisa, thank you for inviting me here :D How is everything with you?

Rae76~ Welcome!!!!!! Sounds like things are going really well for you. Totally understandable about being scared of m/c. You are almost in the clear so that must be feeling great!! I've got 1+ week until my 12 week mark and I'll be so thrilled. Then I'll be going to my 28 week goal! At least we are all making our baby steps. Your m/s sounds pretty mild as well. :D Good luck and welcome over here! We are always happy to see new waiting mommies appear!!!

Take care~

Hi ladies, haven't posted much but continue reading everyone's post. Everyone seems to be doing pretty well. I am now 11 weeks and yucky feeling is pretty much gone. I do have some other issues wondering if anyone has had any issues with. I am itching all over. I pretty much have a rotating rash/ichiness all over my body. It starts to icth somewhere, then I develope a rasied red rash. Drives me crazy for a while then eventually goes away, but them comes to a different part of my body. I have tried benedryl cream, calamine lotion, oatmeal baths, etc. NOthing really seems to help. The Dr told me to use cortisone cream but I would literally be using a whole tube every day!!! I had my fetrtility Dr tell me to try benedryl or claritan, but my regular OB doesn't want me to, or at least not yet. The worst is probably at night. I did resort to taking one benedryl the other that (I was that miserable) and it did help. Everything I read does not talk about anything like this early on in the pregnancy. Anyways, everything else is good. Welcome to all the newbies!!!

Kimberly, thanks for the welcome! :D You're so right - we're taking baby steps! Glad to hear that you only have 1+week until your 12 week mark - we're almost the same as I have exactly two weeks until my "m/c mark" and 1 week+ until 12 weeks, counting from today... And yes, the goal after that is the magical 28 weeks. Oh the glory... But of course it's wonderful to be pregnant and I hope as things progress it's going to feel nicer and safer too.

Kelly, so sorry to hear about your itching problem - sounds very bothersome :( I cannot really help except I would not feel bad taking allergy meds recommended by my doctor (of course it's confusing when two of them disagree). I have pollen allergies that make me feel so miserable that I need to take meds, and my OB said Claritin and Benedryl are both fine so I'm taking the former. I think the key is that the meds are deemed relatively safe and it's not in the best interests of the baby if mommy is feeling horrible all the time... I hope you can find a satisfying solution to your problem without having to feel quilty about it.

Rae76, thank you for you post. It makes me feel better to hear of another Dr stating it's okay to take. It's tolerable during the day, but the night is the worst. I'm very tempted to just take benedryl at night if it keeps up.

Hi ladies

Just a quick update - I had my 2nd scan on Friday and they confirmed one baby. We are more than happy with that though. It was great to see the baby has doubled in size in two weeks and was really wriggling about. It was so amazing!

Hey Ladies,

Sorry I have been MIA for so long. Between my home computer being broken and just feeling sick I have not really been up for much. I had my second scan a week ago and both babies are doing well. They were measuring right on point and their heartbeats were 180 and 184. Other than that I have just been feeling sick all the time and very tired. But I have to say this pregnancy has been easier than when I was pregnant with my son, so I can not complain.

Haylie~ I am so sorry for what you are going through. Me personally would not be able to allow him to come. I just dont think I would be strong enough. I would give a pic from the ultrasound but I just dont think I could emotionally handle it. I hope you make the best decision for YOU and only you. Sending hugs!

Fellow twin holders! Question, are any of you showing yet??? I feel huge and people are noticing. I am hoping this is normal. I also read that with a second pregnancy you show sooner. I am just wondering. I think I am going to need maturnity clothes pretty soon!

Kelly- You poor thing with all the itching. I know that your stomach can get itchy as it is growing but I have never heard of a rash. I hope it goes away fast!!

I have a tip that worked for me and my first baby to prevent strech marks. As you start to get bigger if you apply baby oil to your stomach (I would do it every time I would go to the bathroom) it will keep your skin moist and help prevent strech marks. Just thought I would share my little trick.

Well, I hope you all are doing well, I will try and check in more while at work until I can get my computer fixed!

Sending hugs to you all and your bumps.

Erin

Thanks for that tip, Erin! I will definitely do that - I fear the stretch marks. And...I'm feeling pretty lousy too. It all hit me at week 7 - feel sick and hungry all day long. Hoping it subsides in a few weeks (I'm 8w 2 d now). I can hardly get anything done at work or home cause I feel so nauseous.

I had my last scan at the RE yesterday - they discharged me saying everything looks right on track. I have my first OB appt. this afternoon. Never met the dr - I hope I like him!!

Have a great week everyone!

SORRY I CAN'T ADDRESS EVERYONE PERSONALLY BUT I AM TRYING TO KEEP TRACK OF EVERYONE & PRAYING FOR HEALTHY HAPPY MOMMIES & BABIES. THANK YOU FOR ALL FOR THE PRAYERS & WELL WISHES TOO. I'M NOT HAVING ANY SYMPTOMS AT ALL. THE ONLY THING BOTHERING ME IS THE PAINFULL PROG/SHOTS EVERYNIGHT. I GO BACK FOR MY 3RD SCAN 3/26 AND I'M HOPING THE BABY HAS GROWN SOME THIS TIME AS AT MY 9 WEEK SCAN IT ONLY SHOWED THE BABY TO BE 6WKS SIZE. HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

So glad you mommies are hanging in there.
Wisconsingal...Good luck with your next scan.

I have had 3 ultrasounds already....They are all great and growing as expected. Went to my OB doctor on Friday and am going to see him ever 2 weeks as I am paranoid. He is great. He is not charging me for ultrasounds...He told em to come in whenever I feel I need reassurance. Only 2 weeks left of the progesterone, can not wait. Only 2 more appointments with the RE..tomorrow and then again on April 3rd.

Hang in the moms.....I will write more when I have time!

Hi everyone. We had our 12 week scan this morning. Everything looked perfect!!! It was so amazing to see. We saw all the body parts (the tiny nose looked so cute!) & the baby even had a drink while we watched. He (I think its a boy) was kicking his arms and legs around like crazy - very sweet. We had our nuchal scan - our chance of down syndrome is 1 in 16,500 - very happy with that!

Looking at everyones dates, there should be some more scans coming up soon - I can't wait to hear about them.

Take care
