Hi girlies thanks for all the well wishing.

I have been feeling rubbish today - bad cramps in tummy and groin area but the clinic have confirmed this is a very good sign of my womb moving to where it should be. I have been off my food a little during the day but feel more hungry now.

Still cant believe its true, i have tested AGAIN today and its still positive so definately cant be the pregnyl jab.

Rebecca - many congrats on such a good blood figure. I am sure you will have no trouble in doubling that! (or maybe tripling if you have twins???!!!)

I feel like i just want to tell loads of people but am scared in case I miscarry again. I never had any of these symptoms last time so hopefully it will be a stronger pregnancy.

Good luck to everyone, if i can do it anyone can.

xxxxx

Hey Becky

How are your beta numbers getting on. I had mine done yesterday at 21 days post egg retrieval and it was 2180. Having it done again on friday so hopefully all will be OK and it will be around 4000.

Hi I'm new to this site and to the wonderful world of IVF. Felt so good when I read your news it made me feels so much more hopeful and positive.

Now I am wondering if I dare do a HPT early suppose to do it on 31st March but thats sooooo far away. My clinic haven't offered me a blood test may be because I'm only a NHS client? They were nice to me though when I was having my treatment.

Congratulations again on your wonderful news, bet you can't stop smiling and pinching yourself xxx

Hey there Quita

yes we are very pleased!!!

Your NHS clinic should offer you a blood test if you are worried about anything or have abdo pains. I got a blood test because I was worried about the pain plus had had a miscarriage before.

It might be worth asking. Just cos we are NHS patients doesnt mean we get less service!

Hi, thanks for reply its so nice being able to talk to others who are going through it.

The clinic I was sent too was a private one because none of the NHS hospital do IVF in my area and it is quite far for my home so I not sure it that is why they didn't offer me a blood test. Some of the earlier test and hormones they made me get from my GP which was a bit a performance as some stuff didn't get sent. Any way it all worked out in the end.

Had to wait nearly three years to have IUI at my local hospital which I had 3 times before the PCT would put me on the one year waiting list for the IVF.
I believe IUI only has a 6% success rate so I wished they'd just offered two lots of IVF rather than what they did. But the IUI was quite funny cos it it was one poor woman doing everything she was the whole of the early preg team plus the only fertility nurse she even washed the sperm herself.

The worse bit was sitting in the same room as all the happily pregnant couples waiting for their scans and telling each other that they had only been trying a month!

Post by phvokc »

Hello lady is I'm new posting to this board and was just woundering have anyone ever had a hcg as low as 3 did your levels go up from that or was it just a chemical pregnancy. I had my retieval on the 3\12 I know that my test was a day sooner than exspected but I had a little pink when I wiped and that made me nerves  so you know what I did . I took a pregnancy test :( and it was negative. They told me that I can't go by them to cocme in but then told me after the blood test hcg numbers to not get to excited. Have anyone been in my shoes :(

Hello there, Im pretty new to this too.

Confused by your posting in that if you had ER on 12 March then did you only have ET on 14 March?
If so that was only three days before my ET and they told me not to do a HPT till 31 March.

So I'm hoping you just did it too early. Some people bleed a bit when embryo's implant and my clinic told me progesterone can cause spotting too.

Good luck and keep us informed XXx

okay ladies I think my post was cunfusing. Very new to this they put 3 embroys put back on th 3\12 and on the 3\22 i had a little pink spotting. I called Dr and they told me to come in then I was suppose to take my blood test today. They than call me back and said that my hcg was only a 3 so this is possible but may be a chemical. Just woundering if there's anyone that's had this happen and there leaves have went up. My insurance only cover 15000 so this is it for me I feel discararged now try to make my self ready to go back to work and move on with my life . I guess Gods not ready for me. If anyone can help me let me know

Hello,

Just wanted to pop on and say what a lovely post. It is so nice to see those BFP.

Quita every clinic varies. The clinics in the USA tend to do blood tests and do them quite early (some even only 8dpt), in the UK a lot of the clincs only want you to do a HPT which is why they make you wait so long.

My clinic wanted me to do a HPT 16dpt. I started testing at 7 days and started to get a faint positive at 10 days post. But, saying this, there are a few ladies who will do a HPT on the day of their bloods and it's negative but the bloods are positive. I think this is usually when they are testing early on though.

phvokc I'm sorry but I was of the impression that a hcg over 5 was considered a positive? Let's hope I'm wrong and your numbers go up.

Best of luck to you all

Hi Pebbles,

Yes, this is what worries me...I don't want to do it to early and get false negertive but Saturday is thousands of minutes away away and each one feels like an hour. Think I might have to test Friday......ahhh scarey!!!

My other problem is the clinic told me that if my test is positive on Saturday then I need to go to my GP to see if they will be able to prescribe me some more progesterone. But of course they wil be shut till monday by which time I'll only have one dose left which will mean loads of chassing arround which is all more stress I don't need.

Also they said if I get a negertive then I have to stop the progesterone but if I don't come on then I might still be pregnant. It's all so confussing and stressful.

Don't know whether to try and get appointment at GP on Friday and see if they will either give me a prescription early or even better give me a blood test so that I;ll know.

I am just hoping and praying for the best news of my life.
