How are you guys doing with the weight issue? I'm really having a tough time. I'm prone to being overweight--I really fought hard the last 3 years or so and lost 70 lbs. I was so sick the first 3 months of this pregnancy, though, and the only thing that made me feel better was to eat so I have already gained 17 pounds. It's really bumming me out. I'm trying not to focus on it--I know I'll be able to lose it later--but everytime I try to fit into my clothes I find myself on the verge of tears. I guess it would be better if it was a big belly, but it's really my thighs and butt that have gotten big.

Anyway, sorry for the rant but I'm really feeling down on myself. Then I feel stupid because when I was struggling to get pregnant I would get so mad at those pregnant ladies who complained about their weight. I'm a total hippocrit (can't spell that word, hopefully you can figure out what I mean!)

Hope everyone is feeling good. Anyone getting closer to finding out the sex? I'm hoping next month they'll be able to tell for me!

Meg~ Don't beat yourself up over the weight issue dear. I'm sure it's so frustrating after such a successful weight loss. . . which is AWESOME. . . but it is totally normal. It's funny because I'm on the opposite end and it really got me worried that the babies aren't doing very good. The main thing is that what you are eating is healthy and that you baby is progressing and growing accordingly. I know you don't want to try to lose any weight now but just be aware of the food content and nutrition levels. Remember, if you could lose it once you can do it again!!! Good luck!!

We won't know the sex for another month and a half or so. :( I hope I can wait. We were just talking about it over breakfast today and we are pins and needles waiting to find out. I wish I had the patients to wait but I'm way too much of a planner and with twins I just couldn't stand a sea of yellow and green. I can't wait to know what everyone is having!

We also were looking for furniture today online and I found myself on JCPenney's web page and they have great prices on baby furniture! I thought it was super cheap. Most cribs weren't more than $300! I never even thought to look there for some reason.

The babies and I are trying to clean the house today but the motivation seems to be leaving me! Hope you are all having a great day!

That's funny that you say that about the patience...I'm the same way. I'm driving my husband crazy asking him if he thinks it's a boy or girl. Do you have any idea? Mother's instinct?

A coworker of mine just had a baby and she said she got her crib at Walmart online. She said that it's really nice--she's received lots of compliments on it. She said it was fairly inexpensive--even less than JC Penney!

Meg~ Intuition. . . if I had to guess I would say a boy and a girl. When we saw the hb's the first time they were 14 beats apart. Then when we saw them and heard them the 2nd and 3rd time they were only 3 beats apart but totally different rythyms. One was seemed real methodical and precise and the other was more of a song with a beat that wasn't even or exact. So, having said all that I feel like they are just so different already that it makes me think one of each. How about you? What are your thoughts?

While I would love to get a nursery done, we are still going back and forth on doing an addition here at our house. We have a construction company so we can do it for bare cost but we haven't decided if we want to rip into our house yet. Aferall, we just finished the remodel last summer and the thought of an addition already makes me tired! Furniture will have to wait until we figure this out! Bummer! :(

Kholtan--That's really interesting that their hbs are so different. I hope it is a boy and girl for you--that's all of our dreams, I think, to have one of each! I would really like a girl, but for some reason think it's a boy. Several people in my life have had dreams about the baby and it's always a boy in the dream. Either way will be great, obviously, but I'm just jonesing to know!

I'm excited to get started on the nursery--I have my stuff all picked out, it's just a matter of buying it! I'm going to try to buy a little each month...try to spread it out a little. I'm impressed that you're thinking of remodeling. What a lot of work!

What about everyone else? Do you have a strong feeling as to either girl or boy?

I am also very impatient when it comes to wanting to find out the sex. We have to wait until our 20 week scan!!!! I think its a boy. DH & I had a very busy weekend of cleaning the house & emptying out the spare room which will be the baby's room. It felt great to get it all done. Now we have a nice empty room to start putting our baby things in. We have picked out all of our nursery furniture, but have not yet bought anything. A few places here will order it in & we can pay it all off over a few months.

My belly is big!!!! At work the other day I saw a few people that I have not seen in a while. They were shocked at my baby belly!!!! People I have not even told started congratulating me!!! I am excited, but I feel as though I am just getting fat and need to lose some weight! I think maternity clothes will be just around the corner for me.

Take care

I feel that the little one snuggling inside is a girl :) No reason, just do. I don't know at whick point we could find out about the sex. DH doesn't want to know but I do. And there's no stopping me.... It's not because of colours or anything, I' d just like to know.

As for a bump, very little going on in that department. I don't own a scales so have no idea how much weight I have possible gained but would say not much (which is amazing seeing the way I have to eat!). There has been some general "thickening" going on though - I'm slowly losing my waist. In the mornings I look pretty normal but in the evenings I'm super bloated, look like I'm at least 4-5 months :o Anyone else have this?

Rae76 - yup, that's me too. Eating like crazy (small amounts though every 2 hrs) - look normal in the morning, but totally bloated by the end of the day. I went out and bought a pair of pants in a bigger size over the weekend, just cause my pants are all uncomfortable by the end of each day. I have to unbottom them on my way home from work :) I've actually lost 2 lbs though so I know I'm not gaining weight yet - guess my weight might just be shifting around a bit.

Meg, Kholtan's advice is perfect - as long as you eat nutritiously, that's the best thing you can do. Don't worry about the weight gain - you've proven you have the will power to lose it once. Just be sure to eat healthly and it will all balance out.

As for boy or girl, we don't find out till w20 (unless I opt for the amnio, which I will decide on after my nuchal scan on April 16th). I've heard an old wives tale that girls steal your beauty....based on that, I'd say it is a girl. I'm SO unnattractive these days. My skin has broken out horribly - worse than anything I ever had in my life, even as a teen. It's really hard to beleive it could be this bad.

Hope no one else is having that symptom. Other than that, not feeling bad at all. Was very tired all weekend, but not too bad today.

Have a great week, ladies!

Karen--I'm totally having the bad skin, too! It's worse than being a teen ager. I've heard of the pregnant glow, but this is ridiculous

I'm also very bloated in the evenings. It's kind of fun because it gives you an idea of what you're going to look like in a few months!

Unfortunatly Karen I have been breaking out too. I feel like a teenager all over again! The bad thing is you can't really use anything for it now. I hope you're right about a girl stealing your beauty, we have a boy already and I just really want a girl! It is nice to have a lot of the baby stuff already, we just have to wait and see if we need new bedding and clothes. I have found the cutest bedding for a girl and it is even on sale! I may just have to buy it and return it if it's a boy because where it's on sale and only online I'm afraid it will be gone in 10 weeks. That seems so long to still find out!!

I am getting bloated also at night. I have to eat a lot too, but I've been trying to go really healthy. I've actually lost 3 pounds(it could be of muscle since I was running before I did my ivf) I'm trying to go walking each night since the weather has been better. I have heard everything is so much better if you can excercies a bit. Meg, I wouldn't worry about your weight my sister in law always gains a lot at first and everything else is real gradual. Her dr.'s always give her a hard time, but she has had 3 kids and it has happenend each time. Like the other girls said just eat the best you can and take care of yourself! Have a great week!

Glad I'm not alone but sorry to hear other people are having breakouts too :( My dr. did tell me I could use any OTC benzoyl peroxide product - I started last week but it's not doing anything. I don't even want to talk to anyone at work or in the store. I hope it goes away.
Shanny, did this happen with your first child?

Thanks for sharing again, everyone!

My first little guy is adopted so if I was breaking out it's just cause I've always had bad skin! :P Yeah the benzoyl isn't helping out too much with me either. The thing that has seriously helped the most is just a little sunshine each day when we go to the park. Anything small has just kind of vanished. Anyway, hope that helps!! I'm off the do heaps of laundry!

Sunshine - that must be a nice thing :) We are finally getting to the point where most of our snow is melted...so being outside hasn't been much of an option. The weather forecast is a heat spell tomorrow - 75 degrees (it's only 48 today)....I will give your trick of sun a try tomorrow :)

wisconsingal- I am so sorry. I have been thinking so much about you. I was wondering yesterday how things went. There is nothing I can say right now to even help a little. This is something that is just hard, and nothing that is said will help. I am truly sorry and I wish you luck in the future. Please continue to check in. I am sending you a big hug. I am almost in tears here at work. You truly have been a inspiration to me. And I love talking to you. Please take care.
