Good Morning Girls!

I know I have been missing, but I am not really ready to talk about it. I have noticed there have been some scares. We are all moving into the third trimester (if not there already) and we must all be careful! In about 2 months or less we should start seeing some little ones arrive. It is amazing how quickly it has gone. I can still remember the trauma of undergoing IVF as if it was yesterday, but the pregnancy seems like a flash. I hope everyone continues to do well.

Kim - I hope you make it to 36 weeks, this will mean happy healthy babies with very little time in the NICU!

Tasha - I can't wait for pics of your nursery. I have been forced to stop working on Makayla/Christian's room due to my problems. Don't forget to let us know about your results.

Colleen - I am holding on to the prayer that your little one will stay in as long as possible and possibly resolve his/her little problem. I have friends that have a small boy born with heart defects and it has been hard watching everything they have gone through. However, last month they performed the final surgery needed to repair the defect and he is recovering nicely.

CasyP - Good to hear from you. Hope your little one continues to get big!

Cowgirlclass - I know everything will work out, but I am still praying for a quick resolution. The insurance deals are a pain in the rear, but I got really lucky because DH's job will carry our coverage until the end of July and Makayla should be here before that!

I hope you are all enjoying the weather. I am stuck inside and with the exception of work, have been confined to bedrest. I have another OB appointment tomorrow, but I fear I will be placed on full bedrest then. Makayla is doing fine, as usual it is me. No definite answers yet, but we should know something tomorrow.

Stay Round!

well girls... hope that all is ok..

Rachael- i hope that you are doing well and taking care of yourself!! don't worry about makayla's room... just stay healthy... hope that your appointment goes well, or better then you anticipate!! we'll say a prayer for you and your little girl!!!

Kim- hope that you are still spot free and doing well... as for BH... mine are like cowgirls... tight and my belly feels really hard, for me it starts at the top and tightens down... glad that you should be good till 27 weeks... i hope that you go as long as those little babies need!!! BH usually stop if you change position.. like sit if standing, or stand if sitting..

cowgirl- glad that you are doing well, and stoping when getting the BH.. has the coverage issue been resolved?? we are all getting so close to the end... well closer, i guess... soon there will be little babies welcoming to the world!!

casyp-wonderfull that you scan went well, and that you are holding out on finding out the sex!!sounds like you have great leave benefits.. good for you!!

tasha- any GTT results?? enjoying the great weather.. HAHAHA cold and rainy!! how's the nursery going?? getting along??

we are "ok".. i went to the doc yesterday and my BP was sky high (the highest it's ever been), so we are looking at meds unless i can do the bedrest thing and keep it under controll.. we have a BP check on friday and he'll deceide then... i'm really fighting the meds... he also said that there is really not a whole lot that they can do if i go into labor... i think that he was trying to scare me.. trying to get me to bedrest, otherwise i'm in L&D on bedrest... so we are hanging in there... i've been meditating and resting as much as i can.. it's just worse because the kids are on springbreak... honestly i think that this baby likes to give trouble and will end up in there longer then anyone thinks...

take care all!!!

Good Afternoon Girls....

Talk about a crazy day.... the girl I have been covering for is finally back so we've been trying to cover everything and it's been insane so far.

Colleen- sorry to hear your BP was sky rocket yesterday... that just means your not resting like the doc told you to. Hopefully once the kids go back to school next week it will go down.. good luck and remember to take it easy.

Rachel- sorry to hear things aren't going so well for you sweetie... good luck at your appointment tomorrow and please keep us posted. You can fill us in on everything once your ready. I'll say a prayer for you & Makayla tonight...

CasyP- it's good to hear from you... also good to hear that your 20 week scan went so well. You must be so excited... Wow 9 month leave... I want to move by you. We only get 6 weeks paid however I'm tacking on vacation time so I'll be taking 10 weeks hopefully.

Kim- glad to hear you've been spot free since Friday... you must be so happy. I hear ya about getting tired though. I used to be able to stay up until about 10:30pm a month ago and now I'm getting tired around 9:00-9:30pm. I'm sure it will only get worse as we get closer...

Well as for us we're doing well. I called my doctor's office because I hadn't heard anything from them in regards to my GTT. I talked the nurse and she hasn't gotten anything back from Quest yet so she is going to call them and check up on it... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I passed. Well all the furniture is bought for the nursery and we're having our ceiling fan installed tonight... then next Friday is the big painting day - hopefully it will be nice out so DH & My Dad can open the windows so I don't have to inhale so many paint fumes.... We're getting there! I'll post some pictures once the room is painted.

I hope your all doing well and taking care...

Hi gals,

Racheal--I hope you are okay! I'm concerned about you...you don't sound like your normal positive self. I pray that all is going to be well. Please take care of yourself.

Tasha--Yes, I'm soooo glad to still be spot free! I think it was just a random episode. Good luck with the nursery! Maybe you should go shopping or to lunch or something while your dad and dh paint? I was out of town when mine painted, and it was very nice to not deal with those fumes...but then again, I think most of the paints these days are safe, right? I hope you get good GTT results tomorrow! I'll cross my fingers for ya!

Colleen--I know it's hard with spring fever, but take it easy! You really don't want to be in L&D on bedrest, do you? Could any relatives/friends help with the kids while they're on spring break? I hope your bp is better by Friday. Good luck!

As for me, I had an unpleasant visitor today....I finally got my first dose of sciatic nerve pains. OH MY GOD!! I know some of you have already dealt with this, but I had no idea how painful it can be. I was in the middle of the teaching when it started, and it only feels better if I'm walking in a straight line or sitting down. I can't turn or bend with out flinching....ugh. Does anyone have any words of wisdom? I hope this won't last every day. I'm hoping I'll get some reprieve as the babies change positions. I guess time will tell...

I hope everyone else is well....Ellie--haven't heard from you lately. How are you?

Good Morning Girls...

Well I got my GTT results back... I passed. My nurse said everything looked great and that my doctor would go over all the numbers w/me at my next OB Appointment next Wednesday. I can't believe how time is flying by.... I'll be 30 weeks this weekend (talk about getting nervous now).

Well I hope that all of you are doing well and taking it easy... our little ones need to cook a little more in our bellies!

Well, I am back from the OB. I am okay for now. My BP has been going up in the afternoons and I have been getting dizzy spells. Bed rest seems to eleviate the problem, but I am currently the only income so it is really not an option. The blood work revealed that I am anemic and have very low potatissium levels. They have changed my diet a little and are going to see if the iron supplement will stop the problem. If not, she told me bed rest is the only option. OB also told us there is no real chance I will be able to do day camp with Christian in June. She is not sure I will make it that far, but if I do she does not want me running around after a group of boys for 6 hours everyday in 90+ degree weather. So, I am now trying to find a way to work my week vaction in before than and still be able to spend time with the boys. As for Makayla, she is fine. She is measuring a little big now, but healthy as an ox. She shocked the nurse when she kicked the doppler so hard the mic was pushed off. Hopefully the changes will fix the problem so I can continue to work. I am not ready for a two month bed rest yet!

Thank you all for your wwell wishes. I am glad everyone is doing well. Kim, I hope you nerve stops bothering you. You should try a warm bath and lay on you side to see the babies move. Once they move, your pain should stop. I am thrilled to hear your GTT results Tasha. It will make your life easier! Colleen, I worry about you. You really need to take it easy. your BP could be a really bad thing. I hope your little ones let you stop at least for a little while.

God bless everyone!

Hi Colleen- well I'm glad to hear that your OB appointment went well today.... you had me really scared after reading your post from yesterday. However, I'm sorry to hear your BP has been going up. Hopefully they have figured out the cause and by taking you off the iron supplement it fixes it. I will keep praying for you.... and hopefully everything willturn out ok and you won't have to go on bed rest, which will create added stress for you (living on only one income). Keep us posted sweetie.... we'll be thinking about you.

hi there girls...

tasha- i;m sure that you wrote the note to Rachael- as we are all glad to hear that bedrest is not there yet, and she is doing ok at the moment.. and that makayla is doing great and getting big.. Tasha- i did a happy dance that you passed... wow the 30 week mark!!! it's crazy.. i called to make my US appointment, and she said... oh you'll be past the 30 week mark... i said "no.... gosh , iguess i will be" i was taken for a surprise... it seems to be flying by so fast... only a couple months left!!! how's the fan, and have you gotten the paint?? how fun... soon it will be done!!

rachael- glad to hear that they did not pull the bedrest yet, you like me, need to make sure that we get enough rest, to avoid the nasty BR!!! hope that uping your iron will work.... they told me not to take the iron with dairy as it will not absorbe as well... hope that they diet thing works... are you still on the diabetic diet?? is that helping the sugar issue?? sorry that you do not get to go to camp, there is always next time... Makayla needs her mommy too.. I've had the BP thing with both of my other pregnancies, that's why i'm not too concerned... i have my journals from my other pregnancies, and my BP is the same as it was back then, other then the Tuesday reading, which was really high (175/102)... i think that the salt was an issie...

kim-i'm so so so sorry about the sciatic pain... i wish the pain on nobody!! i find that if it's really really bad.. it might sound funny, but i get on my hands and knees, more my elbows and knees, with butt sticking way up... it seems to take the pressure off, it's just temporary, but it's releif.. i'm not sure that you can get on you hands and knees in class HAHAHA what will the kids think... there is also the hot/cold treatment... that to me sometimes works and sometimes doesn't... my worst is walking and making a turn... there are times i alsmost fall to the floor as the pain shoots down the leg!! and make sure you bend at the knees... slowly and carefullly!! sorry that you had to get the pain!!

cowgirl/casyp- hope that things are going well and feeling great

we are ok... i've checked my BP several times today, and we are doing good... i was also thinking that i'm sure i had way too much salt on Tuesday before my appointment... i took the kids out for pizza and also had some popcorn.. (i love the popcorn that they make in the machines) so i think that my HBP could have been part of that... i'm now watching the salt intake.. i'm not a big salter, but there are a few things that i like that are really really salty... so we are holding the BP at 130's/80's.. still higher then my norm, but not in the danger zone...
i went to carters again... i had a 50% off coupon, they also had stuff for $1.00 and $2.00, a big bad for under $50... i need to stop!!! DH is still in jury duty, and will not be too happy that i keep spending the $$ actually both my DS are begging to buy the baby stuff, altho they keep saying that it's a girl, even after we told them is most likly a boy... my oldest really wanted a girl....

take care all

Yes I messed up... my previous message was meant for Racheal not you Colleen... However, I'm glad to hear your doing well too and keeping your BP lower.

Hey gals...not much time today as I"m off to dinner with DH...nothing fancy!

Tasha---YEAH YEAH YEAH!!! I'm so glad you passed your GTT...you're my inspiration! I have to take the first test in 2 weeks. You must be so relieved! :)

Racheal--I'm glad your appt. went well. Sorry to hear about the dizzy spells, but I bet the iron will help. I'm fully expecting to go on iron supplements soon, as they say multiples usually cause anemia. Good luck with the new diet and iron! I'm sorry you can't go to day camp, but it's probably for the best. [If it makes you feel any better, I might have to miss my only sister graduate from Ohio State in early June--if the babies come that early or if my doctor says "no". I know it's a bummer, but we have to consider the babes...]

Colleen--GLad to hear that maybe the food caused the BP hike. It sounds like you've gotten it under control. Thanks for the tips about the nerve--I think I might get down on all fours just to crack the kids up! They think I'm nutty anyway!

Have a good night gals...one more day of school before my spring break! I need it! :D

Tasha - I was really scared. I had been having the dizzy spells for over a weeks and I had no idea what it was. It took me almost a week to even call the OB about it and than 4 days for the bloodwork results. In the meantime, I was really worried there was something really wrong. With my BP going up, I was concerned about toxemia. However, vitamin deficiencies are curable and thus I am much happier now. As for the mistake, blame it on the baby. We are giving them all of our extra brain cells so we have nothing to spare

Colleen - You are just like me! I don't use salt except on french fries and popcorn! Like you, I will have to take it easy and be sure to do everything the DR orders. As for my diet, it is keeping my sugar in check, but now I have to add bananas. They are normally a forbidden fruit because of the sugar, but they also contain potassium. I am also upping some veggies I prefer not to eat to help with the potassium and iron issues. They did give me a shot of potassium and today I have not had any dizzy spells. It seems like they are right on target. I have had more energy and no spells and that means I am feeling great. My oldest son also wanted a girl and both DSs have been buying little things for their sister. They got really excited when I bought the bottles I plan on using yesterday. For some reason it seems they connect that with the baby comming soon.

As for day camp, I just feel bad because I had promised him it before we even got pregnant. We did not calculate the due date because we were not even sure it would work. However, DH broke the news this afternoon and DS said he is fine. He said he is going to be a big boy this year and show all the other boys how to do everything. He is so sweet and I pray he stays that way!

I will try to get the list back up, but it will likely be later tonight.

Kim- glad to hear your doing well... and I'll be sending you tons of good vibes for your test in a few weeks. I'm sure you'll just fine... just watch your sugar intake a few days before the test and you should be ok.

Racheal- yeah I hear ya about giving all my brain power to Aubrey.... this little girlis going to come out a genius! It's so funny because I used to give DH a hard time about forgetting things and now he's laughing at me because I've turned into him..... I'm hoping once Aubrey arrives all my brain power will come back or else we're all in trouble....

Well hope you all have a great night. Thankfully it's Friday tomorrow.... and we have no plans for the weekend! :D

Hello all!

Will be short and sweet as I am sooo busy! working 7 days a week and suffering for it now!

I am good and so is little fella we are now calling him Roman after my DH's Ma who passed away when he was a toddler her name was Norma so 'Roman' and I are doing well I am huge but no stretch marks so wahey!

20wk scan was normal and everything is so far so good! apart from the midwife who asked why told me that the hospital I am scheduled to go to will be horrible and I will hate it, so have been fretting over that one! I am now having if all goes well a water birth at home, I have no faith in the NHS!

Well I do hope you are all welll, I have loads to raed...
