Hey Ladies!!

I just wanted to drop by and say hello!!! I can't believe that it won't be long till you all start meeting your little ones!! How exciting!!!

Our adoption is still going well. The process is all hard to explain but when we started the adoption process we got a general approval to adopt any child. Then we had DNA done on Jaden and his bmom. It matched, so now we are waiting for approval to adopt specific child, Jaden... Once we get this we will enter the last phase of the adoption process, called PGN. The last phase is the most difficult part though. It can take anywhere to 4weeks to months. I hope our approval comes with in the next 2 weeks and we are only in PGN for a very short time!!!

Oh and we are getting to visit for Easter!! I found a great deal on flights!!! cmoscar I know you would love to meet us at the airport, but I am not letting you till your little one is born. You need to rest and take care of you. You should wait till we are bring Jaden home anyway, that would be more fun!!!

Good Luck to you all and I check in on you often!!!

Take care!!!

hi girls... we are ok... i got to postpone the drugs another time... my BP was 151/91.. not good, but not too bad... no other issues, so we are holding out... i really do not want magniseum sulfate, how ever you spell it.. doc said that would be the route as it helps with the BP and the contractions... the only WAY downer is that it's a hospital thing, until it's regulated, then pills...

as for my appointments we are on a Tuesday/Friday schedule... it seems like he wants to keep a close eye on everything... and my scan is on the 4/11.. hoping that DH can make it... i talked the US people to give me the last appointment, and told them the story, so they are trying to work with us... the appointment is at 5:30 and they are usually leaving then, but said they would stick around for us... as long as we are not too late!!

tasha- hope that your friends transfer goes great... we'll say a little prayer.. as for loosing the brain power, i'm so there also... i'm one wow doesn't forget also, and DH has the worst memory, so together we make a POOR couple... i sent 3 cards to my nephew for his b-day, i keep forgetting that i sent one, and then thought that i forgot to write the address on one, i can not stand that!!!! i have post it notes through out the house, just my lists and stuff to remember!!

angellica- good to hear from you... glad that you and Roman are doing well, too bad all the work!!! awesome about the strech marks... mine are there, only a few... but they keep creaping up higher and higher, and no matter how much lotion, they are still getting worse..... great that you scan went well... too bad about the hospital, water birth at home sounds nice... i wish that i could even think of that, but being high risk they do not allow that.... i deceided that i'm going to go natural, no drugs, as long as it's possable...

rachael- you sound a little more like yourself... more up beat... hopfully the energy helps with that... awesome about the no spells...hopfully it all works out!! sorry to hear again about the camp, kids are really resilant (again, i'm not the greatest speller) i think that they understand!! wouldn't it be great if they could stay sweet their whole life... i see a few changes in Logan since he started kindergarten.. i think that school, and being away now for 8 hours has a lot of infulance on him... he is still wonderful, but there are a few changes.... he's growing up..

kim- springbreak/..... fun!!!! we are on the tail end of ours... my DS wants to go back already... he loves school.. hope that the back doesn't give you any more greif... i was going to say... if you are on all 4's ... make sure that your back doesn't sag.... use your tummy muscles (what ever is left of them) to hold it up... i know that i have a lot less tummy muscles now... i think that is why i look huge!!!!

well... happy friday to all...

Rachel - I feel your pain about the dizzy spell, I had 1 incident but I could not believe how bad it was. It really scared me not knowing what is going on. Please oh please take care of yourself and your baby, we have all been through so much to get here. Is there any chance of getting disablitity while you are having these issues? Could your husband do some contract work or other type of work till the right job comes along? I know it is difficult when you work so hard to get ahead, to be delt cards like yours, but it will pass. Stay positive and take care of you and your baby. :-)

CasyP- Glad your scan went well. I am really looking forward to getting another, it has been almost 9 weeks for me. But I am pretty sure when I change docs they will give me one.

Colleen - If stress makes your blood pressure go up, I have the best book that is God sent to read, its called Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. It is a small book that is easy to read but is well written and has great perspective. If you want I will send you my copy. :-)

Thook- glad your GTT came back good. :-) I know it is a relief.

Kim - I hope your sciatic is better. I have had it on and off for some time and I must say it has been the most uncomfortable part of my pregnancy. And nothing I have found short of Tylonel minimizes it.
Angellica - glad your scan went well. Wow a home birth that sounds really scary. I would love to do that but this is our only shot and really want to take advantage of every medical advantage possible.

Jeck!!!!! It is so great to hear from you. I will say a prayer that your approval comes quick. You little boy is precious and he deserves to be in a loving home such as yours as soon as possible!
As for me I am well minus the sciata pain which seems to be getting slightly worse at least the last few days and I have not been over doing it. I believe the insurance stuff is going well. I hope to be able to make an appointment next week for the end of April, but my HR office has told me if I need emergency service they will jump through hoops to get me into the system and verification for the provider. And since I am changing providers I bet I get a new US :-)

Well take care everyone!

Hi Everyone,

I have a ton of posts to catch up on and I promise I will but I just wanted to check in quickly. I hope everyone is doing well and moving along. I'm ok. I've been stuck in bed for the last week with a bad back and finally feeling a little better. I have not been to work since Tuesday but hopefully I will be able to get back next week. I had my glucose test and those results were fine except that they said I am anemic so I have to take some Iron supplements in addition to my Prenatal vitamins. All the extra Iron is causing havoc with my stomach. I am hoping that it gets a little better. I am trying to drink a ton of water to help the problem. My next appointment is 4/17 then every two weeks after that.

I hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe how quickly time is going by. You are all in my daily thoughts and prayers.

God bless you all.

Wow! So many of you have checked in...it's great to get updates on you!

Nance--I hope the back gets better. I'm glad to hear your glucose test went well. Hang in there...we're in the downward stretch now!

Colleen--I'm glad you're able to avoid the drugs for now. Keep that BP down! (By the way, about your DS....kids pick up SO much from the kids you don't "want" them to pick up from...I see it all the time. That would probably be my one and only reason for supporting home schooling--you can keep them innocent a little longer! )

Jeck--good luck with the adoption process! I'm glad you get to go see him for Easter...I'm sure he'll be here before you know it. Have you gotten the "closet" ready for him yet?

Tasha--I'll keep your friend in my prayers. I hope she gets to join this website soon!

Angelica--I love the Roman/Norma name connection! How neat! Wow--water birth? You are my inspiration today! With twins, I have to be at the hospital....you are a brave woman. You go girl!

RAcheall--THanks for the updated calendar! I would be so lost without you! My next appt. is April 12th (I'll be glucose testing that day)...then every 2 weeks after that. My next US is April 16th. I hope you're doing better today!

As for me, I'm exhausted. I stayed late at work today to start the "cleaning out" of my classroom. I'm going to job share with another teacher next year, so we can both work part time. While that's awesome, it also means I need to move a bunch of my junk out of the classroom. I figure I better work on doing that now instead of in June or July (I figure I'll have two babies permanently attached to my breasts at that point!
 ) Anyway, I'm trying to do all this "clearing out" in small stages...it's amazing how quickly I get wiped out! I'm so glad I have the weekend and spring break to rest...

On a side note, my DH's best friend and his wife went through IUI in January, and they're having TWINS!!! We are so excited, as our twins will hopefully be able to play with each other lots and lots...

Have a great weekend gals!

Hello all, checked in to see how you were all doing and so much has been happening. I can't believe how quickly time seems to be moving, i thought that because we knew from transfer day that the pregnancy would drag, boy was i wrong.
Anyway i will try and do personals but sorry if i get anyone mixed up.
Kim sorry you are suffering with sciatic pain it is awful the hot/cold treatment seemed to really help me and i only suffer every so often now, however have upper back pain now but think that is my posture.
Colleen interesting that you said not to take iron supplements with dairy, i have been taking mine with my cereal in the morning, my tummy is acting very strangly(i'm sure you all know what i mean).Hope you continue to manage with your BP and that it doesn't end up with bedrest, i find it so difficult staying away from certain foods. Good luck with your next US and hope hubby manages to make it.
Buckeyegal enjoy your spring break, do you still have lesson plans etc to do or can you relax?
Cmoscar thanks for updating the list wow some of you ladies are due soon, oh so exciting.
Angellica glad to hear your 20week scan went well, if i was in England i would love to have had a water birth but unfortunatly it is not an option here in Spain. I guess it must be quite scary having a baby in england with all the bad publicity over lack of midwives and the care you recieve, i reall hope and pray you will be able to have your home birth, are you looking for some nice soothing music? Do you find when you are doing your Reiki that Roman starts to move more? Bella seems to enjoy the energy and usually gives me a little somersault or two to let me know. I hope you start to be able to relax on the work front soon but i guess when it is your business it is more difficult.
Tasha will be sending good vibes out to your friend we all know how she is feeling.
Jeck good to hear from you. Hope that you don't have to wait to long for the PGN. Enjoy your Easter trip with him. Thinking of you.
Nancy with you on the iron supplements, i only really drink water but boy my tummy doesn't know what is going on. Sorry you have been in bed with a bad back, hope you can get back to normal soon.
As for me i had a check with my thyroid doctor and it seems my thyroid has sorted it self out and so i am now free from any medication which is fantastic, praying it stays that way until i finish breast feeding, apparently pregnancy can help regulate it. He also said the risks with taking my medication early on were very minimal and that we would have been able to see any problems on the 20 week scan so huge sigh of relief all round. Thanks for the support everyone but at last we can relax a again. I have been having strange pains above my stomach, just under my ribs, it hurts when i get up and if i touch it it is quite sensitive. I am presuming it is the uterus moving higher, i have a midwife appointment on 10th April so will try and wait until then but if it gets worse i will try and contact her. Has anyone else been like this.
Thats me for now i will try and check in more often so you don't have this long essay to read again. If i have missed anyone i am sorry but hope you are well.

Hi girls!

I'm enjoying my spring break! I managed to go shopping yesterday and today. I went a little crazy with the maternity clothes, but I'm getting pretty big and the clothes I've borrowed aren't going to cut it! I also found a Carter's outlet about a 1/2 hour away...I found a few things...I'll be able to do much better once the babies are here and I know what they are!

Tasha--The weather's been gorgeous here the past few days! Tomorrow should be okay...then a big cold front is coming through--ugh---so, not quite the weather we wanted. :? Good luck putting the furniture together--I can't wait to see pics!

Racheal--Thanks for the updated calendar...whatever would we do without you?

Ellie--I'm glad to hear that your thyroid is doing better and that the meds weren't bad after all. What a relief!

I hope everyone else is well and getting bigger and bigger!

hi there all... we are good.. once again no drugs today! i do have to do another 24 urine test... YUCK! i hope that none of you need to do it... it's just gross.. other then that, we are ok.. tired after a long night.. my 3YO DS had a really bad ear infection last night and the drum ruptured, also there were some loud storms, that scared the kids... so mom got little sleep... here's hoping that tonight is uneventfull!!!

kim- glad to hear that your springbreak is going well.... hope that the cold holds off... we are only suposed to be in the 30's tomorrow... yeikes, back to winter coats.. if you join the carters club online, they will email you 50% off of one item, and other coupons that are really good... and they take the 50% off of even the sale... i got a 20.00 outfit for 5.00. hope that you enjoy your time off!! good to hear that DH's friends will have twins... how fun is that going to be..

tasha- good to hear that the painting will get done soon... how was class last nigt... so you'll have it done in a week and a half or so.... what color did you pick??

rachael- hope that you are well... thanks for the updates, i loved the comment... it made my day... you're awesome... how is the iron and dizzy spells and everything else gonig... are you feeling better/?

ellie- good to hear from you, and glad that things are going good, and no more thyroind meds... just make sure that they continue to check it, as it can change at any time...as for the pain... is your BP ok?? i know that the pain just under the ribs on your right side can be a sign of really bad BP... it's one thing that i need to watch for myself!!

nance, good to hear from you, but sorry about the back... are you back to work this week?? hoping that you are feeling better... it seems like there are several of us that are anemic... and the iron pills are nasty... i try and take mine a little before bed, with lots of water... but then i end up waking several times to use the bathroom in the middle of the night...

cowgirl- thanks for the book info.. i have seen that book befor, my sister has it... i'm just working day to day to keep the BP managed...hope that the insurance stuff is working out, and that your scaitic pain gets better... hav eyou seen a chiropractor? i think that they really do help...

well, hope that everyone is well, and taking care of themselves and their babies!!!

Thook- I can't wait to see pictures of the nursery! I finished the big project I had been working on so I am going to get started on that now. :-)

Kim, glad you had fun shopping for clothes. I haven't done much shopping for the baby yet, cause I want to see what I get from the baby shower first. :-)

On a REALLY Good note. My insurance is straightend out and I have a doctor's appt. scheudled for Friday with a doctor that came highly recommended. The nurse had to get approval for him to accept me since I was so far along, but he said okay since I have a full copy of my medical records. His office and the hospital is about 2 blocks from work :-) It will make the frequent visits towards the end convient. On friday I am going to get the information about scheduling the hospital tour and maybe signing up for the classes. :-) I am sure he will do an ultrasound pretty quick too :-)

Well take care all,
Cowgirl

Happy Tuesday Girls....

Kim- glad to hear your springbreak is going well so far.... also glad to hear you found some maternity clothes! I think I'm done buying maternity clothes.... well at least I'm hoping to be.

Colleen- glad to hear your still druge free.... however sorry to hear about your DS's ear infection. Hopefully you get more sleep tonight. Class was good last night... we learned all about our drug options. At this point I'm still going to try drug free, but something tells me an epidural might be in the picture at some point. I'm excited that the room will be painted in a few days... we have decided to go w/ a light green. I'm hoping it turns out good....

Cowgirl- glad to hear that you got all your insurance issues straighten out. You must be so happy. Also that's great that you found a doctor and that you have an appointment for this Friday. Can't wait to hear all about him and the appointment.... hopefully he does an ultrasound for you that day! Keep us posted...

Hope the rest of you are having a great day...

Tasha
