hi there girls... we are here enjoying the SNOW! we have 2-3 inches already... I'm excited about the US tonight, but not the drive.. DH just called and said he will be able to make it (as he's still on jury duty) so i'm thrilled about that!!! i'm hoping that the baby gets a clean bill of health!!

nicola- good to hear that you are lisiting to your body and doing only what feels right...

cowgirl- you really do have quick deleveries, i thought that mine were quick, but boy you beat me... i hear you about the constant pain.. there is no releif from it... hope that how ever it happens, it's quick like your others... my doc told me the other day, " each one is different, and even this one can be longer then the other two" we'll see... i just hope that the pushing part goes as well for me, as the past two... i do not know if i could stand to push for a long time.. i do my kegals, and they are suposed to help the pushing... good luck on the class and happy anniversary... i think that we're skipping the class this time around.. and 4lbs already!! wow.... hope that you are early... otherwise big big baby girl i can not wait to see how much our baby weighs tonight

rachael- enjoy time with your DH... hopfully a job will happen soon... just tell him, that the perfect job is forming and can not be rushed..he'll find one!!! good luck with everything that you have planned for the week... i'm NOT going to look tonight for the privates... we think it's a boy.. and that's what we are sticking to... we are still looking for names, we have a girls name (as we've never had to pick one, there are a lot to choose from) we are still trying the boys... i like Jaxon or Mason.. DH is holding out!!! we'll see after i push the little guy out...

tasha- good luck on getting the vaginal.. one more class and you are done!! wow that went fast... don't worry about getting nervous... especially that it's your first... those of us who have gone through it before are nervous too, but differently, because we KNOW what it's like.... so it's healthy to be nervous, and even a bit scared!!

kim- we'll cross our fingers that your hours are cut back.. . good on finding the pediatricians... i meet with several with my first, and now i'm glad that i did... i love the whole group (well all but one of the DR) good luck on the glucose test... hope you pass... we'll cross our fingers for that too....

casey- glad to hear that you are cleared for a while and can enjoy your little one!!! take it easy !!

hope that everyone has a good day!!!!!!
colleen!!

Colleen,Im like you we want a surprise when the baby is born, sometimes i think it would make it easier to know our baby's sex,i mean there are only so many white things you can buy!!! I really like the name youve short listed Jaxon,i personally like Jack for a boy and we're totally undecided for a girl,i quite like Amber Jade but as yet no decision has been made, although for some reason when i "talk" to the baby or about it i always refer to it as a her,im convinced its a girl..

Good Luck with your scan tonight, its always brilliant to see our precious babies on screen.

Much Love to everyone..Nicola

hi girls... just a few minutes to let you know that the US went great!!!!!!!! i'm so happy.. the doc said that the bowels look just about normal, which lowers the risk of anything being wrong to 25% or less... it also means that there is litle chance of a tumor or a perferation of the baby's intestines... so happy about that!!! the baby weighs 3 lb 15oz.. and he said that if we went term it would be a 9lb+ baby.... thank goodness we are not going to term!!!! said everything else is great, but the baby would not let us get a good picture of the face... we did get a video, and saw the baby suck and swallow... he said that part of the cord was touching the baby's lips making him suckle... it was so cool.. he even put the color on to see the fluid going in and swallowing... i think that was so cool.... baby is head down...

well i'll do personals later... just really happy about the US!!!!

Colleen you baby is right about the same size as mine :-) and you were thinking mine was big :-) What week did you say your doc would let you go to? My new doc said 38 -39 weeks. Now that I have had an US at his office I may try to get a bit more percise answer.

Take care all,
Cowgirl

cowgirl- we are looking at 37 weeks... i'm going to get a better idea tomorrow when i meet with my ob doc... we are looking at early for a few reasons... now i can add big baby to the list... but with the HBP, the bowels (which look better now) and the placenta issues, and the risk for still birth (due to the placenta and bowels)... this baby is 1/2lb bigger at this point then my last... at he was 8lbs 3oz at 36w3d... so no way do i want a bigger baby then that ( i tore with him.).. i tihnk that is my biggest fear... I WOULD TELL ANYONE THAT AN EPISIOTOMY IS BETTER THEN TEARING!!!! some advocate one or the other, but having both, the recovery from the tear was 2x as long...

i'm thinking of asking for the 20th of may as a date (36w2d), as long as nothing else jumps in... we do know that if the BP jumps up, then we will have no choice of the date... they do say that because my BP is high that the baby tends to develope faster... so i think that is why my boys had no problems when they were born, and that they were good sized..

nicola- we did not see any more "parts" .. i love a mystery, but DH is going nuts... he kept try to get the tech to let it out... we are still working on the names... DH is so picky, because he grew up with a "bad " name as he puts it... i would say that we are sure that we are having a boy... and at least i'm glad we have a ton of boy stuff and cloths... if it does (somehow) end up a girl.. DH says that we are in trouble, as i think i would buy a ton of pink, flowers, purple, ect... just becasue i'v not been able too and i see so many cute girl things.. i'm sure she would end up a tomboy, but i could have a monment of pink....

take care everyone else

Colleen- that is great news about your scan. I'm sure your so happy..... Wow big baby already. Which just means that he/she is healthy. I can't wait until our next scan... which should be coming up very soon. I want to see our little girl again.

Well I don't have a ton of time right now, but I'll write back later!

Colleen--I'm glad your scan went so well! A big, healthy baby is a good thing! Good luck getting the date you want. I'm glad the bowel issue seems to be resolving itself.

Tasha--Good luck with the client. I hope they're not going to be a pain in your@##!

I had my OB appt. today. Good news and a little bad. Good first: I'm measuring right where I should be and my cervix is still high, long, and thick which is a very very good thing! [That also means I don't need to be cutting back on work yet, at least not on dr.'s orders....but he did say that if I'm tired, to take it easier---not sure how to do that with first graders without just staying home...] Bad news: They've found blood in my urine. Just like they did when I went to L&D with the spotting. So, my doc has put me on antibiotics for a possible UTI. I'm not happy about being put on antibiotics, but he said a UTI could cause uterine contractions, which would not be a good thing.

I also took the glucose test today. I'll find out next week how I did. I actually thought the drink tasted great...but then again, I love sweet things...that could be my downfall.

I just got some bad news about my friend with twins who lost Baby A about a month ago....she lost baby B a few days ago. I don't know many details now, but my heart aches for her and her DH. I just can't imagine...

I hope everyone is doing well. Rub your bellies for me!

Tasha,Dont work yourself too hard, remember its you and the baby thats most important..

Cowgirl,Hope you enjoy your refresher labour course,i sometimes think imglad i know i'll be getting a section!

CasyP,Wendy,Nance,Ellie,Anjellica...WHERE ARE YOU?? Hope allis well with you all, hope to read you soon..

As for me not much happening, just taking it easier than i normally would.Because i've been off work this week,i went with my mum to Babies R Us,and i've totally got everything i need, bottles, sterilizer, bottle warmer, sheets, blankets, toiletries, the whole shooting match,so apart from a few pairs of socks and scratch mitts we have everything we need. I opened a packof my nappies, and its hard to imagine i'll soon have my own little one filling these.Ohand i ordered my moses basket off the net its coming from Germany and its sooo gorgeous!

My brother and SIL go for a 4d scan tommorow, they are 6 weeks ahead of me pregnancy wise, part of me would love to get one but on the other hand i wouldl ike the surprise too,my sisters baby is 7 weeks old and they had that scan too,it made it easier because they then picked a name, and got lots of stuff off the net, lots of personalized bibs blankets etc..DECISIONS DECISIONS!!!!

Anyway enough of me rambling, hope you all have a lovely day,my love to you all as always..Nicola

Happy Friday Girls.....

Is it 5:30pm yet???? I have been here since 7:30am this morning and I'm already tired. However, I'm so excited about going home today since by the time I get home our furniture will have been delivered and put together. I can't wait.... then the border goes up tomorrow night. I'll make sure to take pictures this weekend and post them as soon as I can.

Nictor- glad to hear your taking it easy.... also sounds like your having so much fun shopping for your little one. Good for you..... we all deserve to splurge once in awhile.

Kim- glad to hear that your OB appointment went well yesterday.... however, sorry to hear about the UTI. Hopefully it will clear up fast and you'll have no more worries... better to be safe than sorry. Also I'll keep my fingers croosed for you that your glucose test results come back great. I too liked the drink..... I guess you can just call us silly!

Well I hope the rest of you mama's are doing well and taking care of your bellies!

Tasha

hi girls.. we are good... back from the doc's... all seemed to go well... i lost another pound... the BP was high, but not in the danger zone.. we had a NST, good thing i drank some juice and had a banana before i went, otherwise i do not know how long my 3YO would have lasted ... we are on the NST each week, i guess... really no reason, just precaution... as for a real date... he still said no more then 37 weeks. it will depend on the BP and everything else... the 24 pee came back "ok" there is some protein, but not enough of a change to worry... so that was good... i actually do not have to go in next week, he's out of the office, and said as long as i'm checking the BP at home, no headaches or other "signs" of the bad HBP... otherwise i need to see a different doc...

tasha-.... i bet the day is dragging.... just so you can get home and see the room... it makes a big difference.... how fun... you're in the finally stages of the room being done!!! aubrey will have her place now..

nicola- fun shopping!! i've had to stop myself... there are so many things that i would love to get, but need controll... as we have 2 DSs we have a lot of what we need... but there is such cool stuff out now that they didn't have just a few years ago... could you get the scan, and just stay away from the private area... we had them stay away from the privates on our scan on wednesday

kim-soory that you do not have to cut back work yet, but it's good that all is going well.... hope that the UTI clears up, and fast.. hope that you pass the GTT test... glad you liked the drink... it makes me kind of sick... and the aftertaste was nasty... sorry to hear about your friend... i'll say a pray for her and her DH...

when are all of your showers?? are any of them surprises?? well, hope that everyone else is well... and hanging in there... not too much further to go!!!!

Colleen--Glad your appt. went well. Keep that BP down so you can stay out of the docs office for a week. You lost a pound? geez...I keep gaining and gaining...I'm up to 30 pounds already. I know with 2 I will gain more than you gals, but gosh....I watch what I eat and exercise. It's frustrating. As for showers, I have one tomorrow! Yeah! I can't wait! :)

TAshsa--good luck with the nursery! I can't wait to see pics! As for the glucose drink, I just thought it tasted like Hawaiin PUnch...it would taste good with some vodka in it!

Nictor--Sounds like you had a good shopping trip! I still need lots of those things....I feel like I've bought a ton of stuff already, but there is still so much more to buy...

Have a good weekend ladies. Like I said, I'll be having a shower with my girlfriends tomorrow (my family is throwing another one in May...). I am hoping to get a lot of good stash!

Belly rubs and hugs,
Kim

Just thought i would pop in and say hello to you all :D
Kim i am so sorry for your friend that is really sad news. Pleased you liked thre glucose drink i have mine within the next couple of weeks and was not looking forward to the drink however Hawaian Punch sounds nice even if it is without vodka.
I am so envious of you all doing your nurserys out i still have a shell of a building because we have been having lots of rain and it has put the build behind a little looks like we might all be cramped into our tiny room in the main house for a while but i am sure we will cope. Love the pics on photobucket can't wait to see the baby ones for us all.
I have been shopping and finally got my pram it is great and is grey and lime green (strange combo but it looks nice).
Nictor i had a 4d scan at 12weeks and can't wait to get my next one done , am i right in thinking its best to wait until about 30 weeks. I wasn't going to get one done but after seeing the 12 week one i can't wait.
Everything is going well for me my BP is fine just waiting on my glucose test. I am still having back pains but i guess it's par for the course. The midwife seems to think the pain under my ribs might be skin stretching and my intestines so she has given me some exercises which seem to help. There are classes that start in May which i think i might go to but it will be interesting to see how much i understand  .
How exciting that you are all getting ideas on due dates it still seems so far away for me but i know it will come soon.
I hope you all continue to waddle along and try and work less if possible. Even though i don't always get the oppotunity to post more often i do think of you all. Take care Ellie x

Hello gals..

Ellie and Angelica, it's great to hear from you! Ellie, good luck on getting a nursery built and REALLY good luck on understanding your baby courses! I would be lost in Spanish! :) Angelica, sorry to hear you had a scare, but I'm glad all's well.

As for me, I got my glucose results back and I passed! :) I guess my body has been in good training with all the sugar I've been eating over the years--I have a big sweet tooth, but I always exercise to balance things out. All my other bloodwork came back good as well--no anemia, which is usually an issue for multiples, so that's a relief!

I had my first shower yesterday with my gal pals. Now I have so much stuff to sort through and wash and figure out where in the @#!@ to put it! My friends were so generous, I feel very lucky and blessed. It's just a bit intimidating to see all this stuff and know we're going to need it very soon!

I hope all of you are having a good weekend. I'm off this afternoon to celebrate my grandfather's 95th birthday! Can you imagine??? 95??? And he's still as sharp as a tack. Good Irish heritage.

Hugs to bellies,
Kim
