Hey girls,
Haven't posted in a while because I was out of town this past weekend for my brother's wedding and then Monday sadly my grandmother passed away. So it's been an emotional roller coaster sort of week. And my emotions are even more strong since my hormones are crazy right now!

Sounds like everybody is progressing along so well! It's so nice to read all about ladies in the same situation because I don't have any pg friends right now. And I can't talk to too many people about my feelings/symptoms because we are still waiting to tell a lot of our friends.

So is anyone else still feeling anxious/paranoid? I thought for sure after my first u/s and I saw the heart beat I would feel so much better but I still worry about my little bean being ok and am counting down the days until my second u/s next week. I guess it's just with all of the craziness we ivf girls go through we are extra cautious. I wish I could fast forward to the magical 12 week mark but it is still 5 weeks away...

Talk to you all soon!

XO

Hi everyone- I am finally at 6 weeks. Each week seems like a month. I had my 2nd us this morning & found 2 little fetuses each with a heartbeat. Baby B was just hiding last week & a little today. It's kind of hanging out at the bottom of it's sack & baby A is more at the top. Baby A is measuring 5 weeks 6 days & baby B is measuring 6 weeks 1 day. Baby A's heartrate is 124 & B's is 126. So, it's getting better as time goes.

Good luck everyone!

:D  :D Six long weeks and Six long days :D  :D

Seven weeks tomorrow another milestone and I finally get my first long awaited scan on Thursday.
Has anyone else had to wait until they were at least seven weeks or is it just my clinic? I just need to know my babi(es) are safe and I need to know how many I am suppose to be bonding with.
This time next week seems like a world away.

And in the meantime I am also feeling rather sorry for myself because I have an ongoing problem with my leg caused by (mild scoliosis) a slightly crooked spine and pelvis, which in turn has trapped a nerve in my lower back sending pain signals down my right leg.
My right leg, I have just found out, is 1 and half centermeters shorter than my left which over the years has made me walk unevenly and twisted my knee bones slightly. Until two and a half years a go none of the above had ever caused me any trouble but then right in the middle of my infertilty problems my right knee swelled up and hasn't been the same since.

I have seen physios and a chropracter and in October I started seeing a physio privately and started to make a lot of progress, but unfortunatly she moved to anther part of the county. So today I am off to the hopital to see yet another one.

I have worked really hard to rebuilt the muscles around my knee and stabilise the joint, but in the last three weeks my leg has got progressivly more painful again, so that now just standing to do the washing up is a real ordeal and I keep waking up because it throbs.

All this worry's me too in case any ot the pain is being transmitted to the babi(es) and also I am very slim and light at the moment but whats going to happen when i am much heavier?

Sorry about all that, I just had to get it off my chest xxx

Jazemine

The twin thing is strange isn't it. I want to know how many so I can bond with my bump accordingly.

Jes and Pixie

Weird or what! Out of a whole world you too go to the same doctor!!! You have got to meet, its got to be fate.

Tams

Hi you are very welcome. I had spotting about 10-12 days after ET and again 15 days after. It scared the hell out of me but I think it is quite common. So don't worry.

On the flying thing, have you heard of cura heat raps they sell them in the big chemists. You put them around your lower back under your clothes and they send out heat though your whole body. I bought one for my bad leg, but I found it has the added effect of being deeply relaxing and soothing. I am going to wear one on and before going on the plane - it makes me feel like I have had a large glass of wine but are completely safe.

Steph

I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope you are feeing better today.

I am the same about telling people and i don't know anyone else who is pregnant yet which is funny because I was convinced the whole world bar me has been pregnant for the last four year! LOL

Totally agree about the 12 week thing, need to get there to feel safe. Still take courage from the hearbeats you've seen I read that once they are detected your odd of going full term leap up to 94%. Which is why I can't wait to have my scan.

Miss Piggy

The netherlands cool! Wouldn't it be cool if we could all meet up one day with allour babies!

Pixie that is amazing about the babies - didn't know they could tell so much detail! Goodness I want my scan!!!!

Love to everyone, sorry for whinging earlier. xxx

Quita, we clearly read the same stats! (I am soo looking forward to the 6 wk scan), I think I rather shocked my GP with my stat recital yesterday. I have to say she wasn't particuarly upbeat, she said she wouldn't register me yet as the risk of m/c was still too high, which is maybe fair enough, but she also said that if it didn't work at least I knew I could get this far..... bearing in mind I spent the whole of Monday and Tuesday having an anxiety attack on the sofa this is not the news I need to hear - I know there is a risk but being negative about it won't help me.

Sorry to whinge on, after the care and upbeatness of the lovely nurses at the fertility clinic the real world view of IVF pregnancies is quite harsh.

Thank you for your tip on relaxation, I'll definitely give it a go. I also have a scoliosis, I find that strangely enough running helps me, or at least I notice it gets worse when I can't run - ie during treatments - so a substitute will be very welcome!

Sarah, I also have my scan booked for the 4th May - I'll only be 6 weeks and 2 days by then but hopeful about seeing a heart beat.

The one bonus of IVF is that you can feel pretty confident in your due date - in fact we could have due minutes - there's no dobt at all as to when fertilisation ocurred!

Hello its me again - the hospital have just called and today's beta test hasn't doubled - does anyone know whether this is a serious problem??? I'm really worried again - my betas are as follows

Mon 12 dpec - 74
Wed 14 dpec - 212
Fri 16 dpec - 387

They've said to go in again on Monday, I can't bear this anxiety, has nayone else had similar problems? This is about the stage it went wrong last time.

Quita, we have to wait until 7 weeks too. We have our scan on Monday and I am so excited!!! I am sorry to hear about your pains hon, I do not believe that the babies feel the pain, but they might be affected by stress (worry). I wish there was something that I could do to help

Tams, it takes 48-62 hours for it to double, so it is nothing to worry about. At my clinic they only have us take 2 tests, at which your numbers look like a healthy pregnancy to me!

All of a sudden the nausea is a lot better. It is not 100% gone, but I can actually make it through the day with out dreaming of the toilet. I am so excited for next week, I so agree that the 2ww was a breeze compared to this!

Not much new here. I had all my bloodwork this week and here are my numbers:

9dp5dt ~ 119
11dp5dt ~ 349

Anyone want me to start some sort of list for all who are done here, when they ars due, & current info?? I have no problem getting it started that way we can all get to know eachother better!
