Cowgirlclass - the user name is ivfgroup and so it the password.

Tasha - Take it easy! You really do not want bedrest for two months and you also do not want you little ladybug to have any problems! I am praying for your little bug.

As for us, I am really sad right now. DH received a call from Motorola and they passed him up because someone on the inside had applied for the job and it is less paperwork to just move that person than re-hiring DH. So we are back to the wait and see again. I was so excited about him going back since it would solve so many problems. Oh well, I will get over it, he already has.

I hope eveeryone else is oay. I am going to get some lunch and try to calm down.

Racheal I am so sorry you didn't get good news. :-( I hope your husband finds something he really likes soon. I am sure that would relieve lots of additional stress that none of us need right now.

Take care,
Cowgirl

rachael- so sorry to hear about DH... we are still praying that the RIGHT job will come along, and sooner rather then then later.... how are the BHs? i too have been having them, actually a few woke me up, and then i had to pee... does anyone else have to pee after the BH?? Sorry that you get the migraines too... they completely wipe me out, even the next day my body just hurts and is tired... hope that you do not get any more this pregnancy...!!

cowgirl-wow, i can not beleive that we are getting so close and getting dates and everything like that!! June 6th... sounds good... and good thing that you'll be at your job a year then.... Have a good appointment on Friday!!

tasha- take it EASY, and remember to drink drink drink... (water of course< HAHAH) the best thing for the BP and protein is resting and drinking plenty of h2o.. trust me.. home is 100% better then stuck in hospital... there you have to get permission to pee, or sit up for that matter... do all you can to rest.. hopfully you can cut back on your hours, did you finish the client that was being a pain?? Now you should really think about getting the cleaners in... good excuss now..

kim- hope you are taking care of your little ones!!

nance- good that you had someone in to clean... i'm still feeling weird about monday... but they are going to deep clean the whole house... so it will sparkle..

well take care all

Hello.....

Cowgirl- good luck at your appointment on Friday... June 6th sounds perfect (hopefully he'll give you that date).

Rachael- sorry to hear about Motorola... however, that just means that something better can now come along. Try and stay positive.... and we'll keep our fingers crossed for you guys.

Colleen- I promise to drink my water..... I don't want to be stuck in the hospital so I'm going to do everything right. Well no we're not finished w/ the client, but my direct manager has told me to work only my regular hours and to stay off my feet as much as possible.... so no worried there. Thankfully my work is really nice that way. Yep now I have a perfect excuse to call the cleaning people... although DH said he would do it.

Nictor- hello... glad to hear your doing well. I hear you about not having energy... mine is starting to dwindle fast. Take care and check back in w/ us soon.

Hi gals...

Tasha--I'm sorry to hear about the swelling. It sounds like you're being a good girl. How bad was your swelling? I've had some for a while now, but my OB hasn't made a big deal of it. I know twins causes more swelling, plus my job requires a lot of standing. Just curious...maybe I should be more concerned?

Colleen--I'm glad to hear the migraines are settling down. Good for you for getting a cleaning lady. I want to get one, but DH thinks I'm being silly. He still sees me as this active gal...I'm sure once the doc tells me to take it easy, he'll see things differently. Cause I guarantee DH doesn't like to clean--and he'll do anything to get out of it!

Nance--I'm glad you got a cleaning lady too! Good for you! When does your office close?

Cowgirl--good luck at your appt. on Friday. June 6 sounds good. I'm hoping to hold off until around then. So, you never know, maybe we can have our babies in the same week?

Racheal--so sorry to hear about the Motorola gig. I'm sure the right job will become apparent soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your DH.

Nicola--I'm with you...I'm exhausted! I want to go to bed RIGHT now, but I have some work to do on the computer. Plus, I love the show LOST....so I might have to watch from bed. Glad you're doing well!

As for me, I'm fine. I'm getting more and more tired, but I seem to be handling work okay. I actually go back to the doctor on Wednesday. I'm on the 2 week rotation now. I'm getting bigger and bigger, which is a bit frustrating, but I know it's my job to grow those babies! Other than that, I have no real complaints.

Good night gals! Take care of yourselves! I have a feeling that the next few weeks are going to bring about some changes for all of us!

Hugs to all your bellies,
Kim

Happy Thursday Girls.... thankfully the weekend is just around the corner. Plus they are calling for nice weather so I'm happy.

Kim- well my swelling wasn't that bad at all... I think it was more the trace of protein in my urine & that my BP was a little higher that normal. Like I said my doctor is being overly cautious.... which is good I guess. I go back tomorrow for a check up... hopefully their is no more protein in my urine & my BP has gone down. I have been resting and being good.... and I actually lost .6lbs (I'm thinking it was water weight).

Well I hope all of you girls are doing well and taking care of your bellies.... I can't believe that most of us are in the home stretch now.... how exciting and scary at the same time!

Well more later....
Tasha

hi girls... hope that we are all well...

tasha- glad to hear that your mamnger is understanding and that you are drinking your water.. it usually is the protien in the urine that concerns them.. as that's a sign of kidneys and that they are trying to work harder.. also if the swelling is in the face or hands it's worse, a bigger sign of BP problems.... did they tell you all the other things that you should be looking for... headaches, pain in the rightside under your ribs, blurred vision or see spots... those too are BIG signs... if you have any of those call your doc asap or go straight to L&D... Good luck if DH will clean... i know that my DH just doesn't do it like how i do.. it's like a typicall guy... i hoipe that the cleaners do really well... they clean both of my neighbors houses, and they look good... so i'm hoping for the best!!

Kim- as i told tasha- there are a few things to look for, and swelling in the hands and face are very serious, feet and legs are so so if there are no other signs.... just watch for other things... all my pregnancies ive been on watch for signs of worsing BP... as for cleaning i wish i could keep up, but rather keep the BP down... at least for a while longer... and you with twins, i do not know how you do it.. you make me tired just thinking about if there were 2 in me...

nicola- hope that you are feeling a little more energy.. have you been testing for anemia?? i forget... that causes no energy.... take care of yourself!!!

we've had a good day, except the cleaners can not make it on monday, so we are set for Wednesday... she said that it's a crew of 4 for 4 hours, a big deep cleaning... looking forward to it... but then i'll see what a better job cleaning i should be doing... DH actually said that we can continue for a couple months... so that when the baby comes, it will not be another worry... i was really surprised... but his version of cleaning is pulling the vacuum out and doing a quick once over... I guess that is better then nothing.. i guess that he does dishes (when asked)

as for me.. we are good... BP the same.. I did schedule the US for 5/4..so we'll get another look then... i feel lucky that we do get to see the little guy a lot... i can not believe that we are but 5 weeks away from having this baby... i feel like there is a bunch of stuff to get done..INCLUDING FINDING A NAME!!!!!! i did start to pack a bag... i got the necessities packed, just no cloths or anything (as i wear most the cloths i own). i guess i could throw those in last minute..

well to all you others... take care!!

Colleen and Tasha--Thanks for your info about the warning signs. At my last appt. everything was fine, but my feet have been swelling a little more. My hands and face are okay, though. I do know that my sodium intake, the warmer temperatures, and the amount of time on my feet all affects my swelling. I just got paranoid after Tasha's update--I thought maybe I should be more worried. I think I'll relax for now!

Hope everyone's doing well...I'll write more tomorrow!

okay since we are all starting to get close, let's talk hospital bags :-) Who is taking what to the hospital? What good lists have you found online???? :-)
So far I have socks. a light robe/night gown that zips up for breast feeding and slippers. I planned to put more together after the baby shower, but my baby shower has moved till May 13 or 20. I don't know if I want to wait that long. So I plan on putting a bag together and I can always switch out stuff if I decide to. Things I know I need to add are:

diapers
going home outfit baby
going home outfilt me
extra panties
baby socks
sanitary product (guessing I should get the big ones)
nursing pads
nursing bra
receiving blanket
put the infant car seat in the vehicle we decide to take (hubby can do this later)

okay what else ladies :-)

Colleen- thanks for sthe watch out signs.... I did notice black dots yesterday for a little bit, bu then they went away.... no pain in my right side and no headaches so I think I'm doing ok. We'll see tomorrow... Wow only 5 weeks for you... if that was me I'd be so nervous (however I'm only a few weeks behind you). DH seems to think I'm going to go early, but we'll see. Also my DH cleans everything and he actually does a good job at it.... he does the bathrooms, the vacuuming, some of the laundry & dishes. I really couldn't ask for a better DH. I really lucked out..... :D

Cowgirl- what a great idea.... I haven't even packed anything yet for the hospital. However, I have read some magazines & online posts as to what to bring: Insurance Cards, Hair Bands for labor, Lip Balm, Robe, Nightgown, Slippers, Socks, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Conditioner, Deodorant, Makeup (if you need it), Going home clothes for you, Snacks, Camera, Nursing Bra, Nursing Pads, Panties, Address Book (numbes of people to call after baby arrives), Infant Car Seat, Going home outfit for baby, Blanket, socks for baby, and hat for baby..... that is what I have found so far! Does this sound about right mommy's who have had baby's before????? This is all new to me.....

Cowgirl--What a great and timely question! I was going to start packing this weekend, just in case! I have heard not to worry about diaper supplies, as the hospital will give you extras. I've heard that a pillow would be good since most hospitals have cruddy pillows. SNACKS and music are another biggie. I honestly need to go buy my nursing bra still, and I guess while I'm at it, buy some pj's that I can nurse in. I've just been wearing DH's t-shirts to bed lately, as I tend to get so HOT! :?

I'm going to print up your gal's lists...great ideas!

Yep it the "BAG" does require careful planning. :-)
Colleen brings up a good point. I plan to have a VAGB but what I plan and what happens could be totally different and I should plan accordingly because my if I asked my hubby to bring me supplies I just know he would show up with underwear that haven't fit me in 2 years ;-)

I do think my next trip to the store I will get some shampoo, conditioner, deoderant and tooth paste to throw in my bag as well as an old curling iron I don't use very often.

My baby shower is scheduled now for May 6th. I am thinking after that I will still go ahead and put the diaper bag together to take with me.

My refresher childbirth class is scheduled for May 1st and I am looking forward to that. I do kinda wish it wasn't on our wedding anniversery. :-)

Take care everyone! I am off to the doc. :-)

hi girls... happy friday... I'M 32 WEEK TODAY!!!!!we are busy this weekend.. we actually have 3 b-day parties... yeikes

kim- i actually need some pj's as i've been wearing a tanktop to bed,.. i too am hot, and actually had a fan on a few times (not our norm, DH hates a fan on while sleeping) Pillows are a must.... try not to bring white pillow cases, or they end up gone.. do get a nursing bra or two... talk to the ladies at the store... you'll need a slightly bigger one then you fit now, they say if it fits on the smallest setting then it should work when you are nursing as you BB's get LARGE when the milk comes in.. Have you looked into a pump... i know that you said you wanted to BF the twins, and a pump can help build up your milk supply.. BF is great.. i hope that it works well for you!!

tasha- good list... i'm a big blistex user, so i have 3 packed, as your lips get REALLY dry... good for you.. your DH helps a lot... mine tries, but he was an only child that his mom did almost everything for him... so he is banned from the laundry (as he washes all on hot, mixed up colors, and dries EVERYTHING... he does do the toilets (boys in the house).. he is also in school gettting his masters and then works a ton of hours.. i stay home, so i think i should be doing most anyway... not that he expects me too... but i expect myself to.. we share the kids responsibilites when he's home..

cowgirl- hows you list coming?? packed yet... i think that i'm going out sometime this weekend for some pjs... i'm looking for a 2 piece outfit with shorts, as i'm always HOT... last time in labor i had the air on in our room (it was January) i'm glad they let you controll the temp in the room... they kept asking if i wanted heated blankets NO WAY!!!! take care

have a great weekend, and takecare of you little/big bellies
