Hello all!

I'm so glad to hear things are going so well! Meg, I'm very jealous of your ultrasound, I have to wait until I'm 20 weeks. I had an appointment today and it was a reassurance to hear the heartbeat, so I'll take what I can get! I'm 13 weeks and feel pretty much the same as usual, but I think the m/s is going away!!!

So the birthmom I told you guys about picked us!! She is due in June and is having a boy. I have a feeling mine is a boy, so I will be stuck with 3 boys!! But I will just be grateful to have them at all. I'm a bit nervous about dealing with a newborn at 5 months pregnant, but my husband is great and hopefully we'll have him sleeping through the night before the next one comes. Anyway, glad to hear from you all again. I'm glad you are all getting along and I'm excited for each of our new stages and steps!

WOW! What great news from everyone!

Meg~ Congrats on having a girl! Little girls are so much fun as babies. I'm sure you will have her dressed in dear sweet things 24 hours a day! You must be on cloud nine right now. She'll have her daddy wrapped around her finger in no time! I'm so happy for you!

Kelly~ Your comments about getting big but only in the butt are hilarious! I just can't picture that one but I love your sense of humor about it. What can we do but smile and be grateful! :D

Shanny~ WHOOOHOOO!!!! I'm thrilled you and DH were picked for the parents! What a lucky baby to be joining your family. The babies will be a lot like twins. Maybe you should come join the Double Trouble thread now! :D Will you get to be there for the birth? Have you met the birth mother? I'm just so excited for you both. You prayed for a growing family and look at you now! CONGRATS!!!

We are just relaxing and enjoying the ride right now. Nothing new to report just some growing twins that I have a feeling are only going to get big fast!

HAve a great night everyone!

Hello everyone...I am glad you are all doing so well..
Meg Congrats on a baby girl. How exciting....The US was an hour and a half..Wow...So glad everything looks so good. Again Congrats...

Shanny..You sure will have a very busy summer. Isnt interesting you get picked and you are pregnant. How does the birth mom feel about you being pregnant? Remember to take care of yourself as well.

Kelly..The beauty of being pregnant is that is doesnt matter that you gain weight. Smile, laugh and enjoy!!

Kimberly...Glad things are going well for you as well. Just hanging out and relaxing. Keep up the good work.

Not too much new with us. Seems like this pregnancy is taking forever. Not really showing much. Have my next OB appt on Friday. Its been 3 weeks so I feel I need to get in there for another US. I like to be reassured everything is OK. This whole process is so scary. Having a hard time taking it easy. Just hope and pray this pregnancy is better then the last. Once I hit 20 weeks I will feel much better.

Take Care all and lets keep this thread moving.

Janine~ Nice to see you! Seems like I haven't seen you in a little while. Glad to hear you are doing well. What is your due date again? I think we're days apart but I can never remember. It's funny you aren't showing too much yet because neither am I. It's been a reason for worry around here but I try to puch through the worry and concentrate on good things. Not always too easy but we're getting by and making another day every day.
I was happy to see your post! Take care~

Hi girls, Good to hear from everyone again. Sounds like some great news on many fronts from everyone.

Has everyone gone off of their progresterone by now? I'm just about out of prometrium - the dr said to stay it through week 12 but I'm so scared to stop.

I'm feeling quite well. This overwhelmingly good feeling (physcially) still worries me, but I'm trying/starting to relax a little. I'm 12w 4d now. Had the NT scan on Monday - should have the results in a few more days. The baby was quite stubborn, not wanting to get into the right position for the NT measurements. It ended up taking 1 1/2 hrs so I got to see the little one alot. No weight gain yet either.

I have my OB appt today and a list of questions a full page long for him :) The NT scan showed that my uterus is still very tilted so I may not hear the heartbeat at the dr today.

Shanny - so great on the additional baby coming into your life. Best of luck!!! That will be fun to have the two little ones growing up together!

Kimberly

I am due Oct 14th. Yes, we are only days apart. It seems like this pregnancy is taking forever. Hope it is going quick for you.
Tomorrow is another OB appt..Can't wait to see the baby, we are hoping everything is good. No reason to think otherwise.
Sounds like you may have had some challenges along the way. Hope all is well.

Keep on keeping on.

Take Care

hello everyone! good to see everyone moving along nicely.

Meg,
congrats on your baby girl! It must be so cool to know the gender. I can't wait to find out the genders of my babies. I sense a boy and a girl. DH is hoping for 2 girls. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.

kbarry,
I stopped all prog. in my 10th week. I was worried for a few weeks after that because I was released from my RE and couldn't get an apt with an OB until 4 weeks later. So I was in limbo for awhile. Finally I saw an OB last tuesday and got to hear both heartbeats. I actually started to feel less nausea once I stopped prometrium and estradiol.

shanny,
congrats! wow that's exciting that you will a have a new little one soon. that's amazing that you can adopt too. I'm sure that is one very lucky little boy. I bet he will love having a sibling so close in age.

kholtan,
good to hear about the clear nuchal scan! I haven't gained much weight either. I gained about 13 lbs during IVF meds, but only maybe a 1 or 2 lbs since getting PG. I think it's because of all the puking i've done and all the rest of the calories went to the twins. I didn't notice much of a baby bump until now. I think I just barely started showing (through the bloat) around week 13. Now I seem to be a little bigger every day.

Well as for me being limbo for awhile. I finally had an OB appt last tuesday. It's really hard to get an OB in this town. :x I had a GYN before my preg, but did not want him as an OB. My RE referred me to a OB of his choice, but that Dr. went to another clinic and is now not accepting my Health ins. so after asking a friend , I picked my own OB, but then had to wait for my RE to get back from Easter vaction to speak to the OB and give me my records because that clinic refused to give me an appt until they had my records. :x After i gave them my records the receptionist said she'll give the Dr my records and they'll let me know if they accept me or not. Anyway I finally got an appt with them in another 2 weeks from now. The Ob i went to last tuesday is a differnt clinic that I had called before and made sort of a stand by appt. I went to it anyway mainly because I was hoping to hear the HBs. and we did! i was so relieved! They actually were really nice there and I feel bad about switching, but DH is switching jobs and the new Ins. won't cover that clinic anyway. Oh, and i'm supposed to go to a perinatologist too, but the one I was sent to refuses to accept my Ins (even though they are in my provider network) because my Ins company has not paid alot of the bills and their clients end up responsible for the bill. It looks like I'll have to pick one accross town. I'll have a 30 min drive instead of a 10 min drive. :x

Anyway the good news is, the twins are doing well. HBs are normal 160 bpm and 150 bpm. My uterus is measuring much bigger than I thought. My fundus is already about 2 inches above my bellybutton. :o I love that I have a baby bump now. My nausea has been easing up since 13 wks. I still puke every once in awhile. but I'm not nauseas all day long anymore and I get more normal feeling hunger rather than those extreme hunger pains. :)

Good afternoon mommies!

Ski-doo~ We are close together! I hope everything speeds up for you. There are moments when I feel it's flying by and then some sleepless nights where I swear they go on for days! Either way, the due date will get here so we might as well enjoy the ride! :D

Karen~Sounds like we were all nervous to stop progesterone! I stopped the shots at 10 weeks but did the supps. unitl 12. I threw in a few extra days on the end to ease my mind and I figured they couldn't hurt. The hb''s are about all that eased my mind though at the next OB appointment. Now I can never remember if I have taken my PNV int he morning. No matter how routine I try to make it even if I take it every morning at the same time I still start to doubt myself in the afternoon. If it's not one thing it's another!

Mia~ So nice to see your post! Glad to hear your babies are doing well. It's sounds like you have had a heck of a time with finding an OB. Good luck with your next appointment. Hopefully you will be very happy with your choice. I just LOVE my new one. He's been so accomodating and patient and he spent 3.5 hours with us on our initial visit getting to know us and what we wanted from our birthing and pregnancy experience. We have just felt like he already adores these babies and we couldn't be happier. Keep up the growing and feeling better!

We had a major blow yesterday! I took my Toyota SUV in for service yesterday and found out it is literally not worth fixing. A few things needed some looking at but it's only a few years old and a VERY expensive car that I would never suspect to be such a pile of junk. Now we are having to trade it in and I have no idea what we will be getting. The cost to repair my car wasn't worth doing but I also hate spending money on cars. I bought that car thinking it would last forever and here it's on the way to an auto auction to be sold off to the highest bidder. What can I do? The babies are safe and healthy and growing like weeds so who am I to complain? :?

Other than that, all is well. Take care everyone!

Hi girls,

It was nice to see this thread moving along for a bit again. Not as much news to share when our appointments seem so far apart now! :D Thanks everyone for your excitement on our adoption. We met the birthmom and her family yesterday and just had the greatest time.

Kimberly- Sorry to hear about your SUV. We just bought a toyota min-van yesterday to fit all the carseats in hopefully we won't have the problems you did. I never thought I'd opt for a min-van, but here I am!!

Janine-I know what you mean about not being able to take it easy, I still worry about it all the time. But when I can enjoy it, it is the best!! Hope you can hang in there!!

Karen- Good luck on your NT scan results. How fun to spend some quality time with your little one! I haven't really gained weight either, I don't know if it's because I'm eating better or loosing muscle because I take it a lot more easy than I used to.

Mia- Glad to hear you twins and well and it's the best when the nausea eases up isn't it?!

Anyway, I'm off to church. Hope you all had a great weekend and all goes well with your babies!!

Hi Ladies,

Thanks for the feedback on stopping progesterone. I've decided to just finish out the bottle - I have about 5 days left. I've started to space them further apart - to get my body slowly weened off of them.

The NT Scan results came back very good for my age. Based on that, we've decided against an amnio. I was so happy! We finally started telling people - we managed to keep the pg between ourselves and our parents for the first 12 weeks!

Starting to show a bit - I had a bulge for 5-6 days but it is smaller today. I think it is the organs shifting around due to my titled uterus moving foward. I know the baby is still very low when I use my heart rate monitor.

Kimberly - so sorry to hear about the SUV! It's so frustrating when you think have a good car and it is a dissapointment. BTW - I also do that with my PNV. I think I need to start making a chart to keep track of if I took it already :) AND - sounds like you have the best OB in the world! Mine spends 5-10 mins and that's only cuase I bring a list of questions.

Shanny, when is the other baby due? How close in age with the little ones be?

OK, Sorry to cut it short - gotta run.

Hi everyone, and welcome Fee!!

So good to hear that you are all doing so well and getting great U/S and screening results :D

I had my 16-week scan today. Sadly, DH is in Europe on business so I had to go alone, but seeing the baby is always so magical. Can't be sure yet but my OB and I figured we may have seen something that looked like boy parts!!! But this will be revisited in four weeks when I have my structural U/s which will be done using supersharp technology. But I think it's a boy!!!! Otherwise all looked well - it was a very short visit and my OB just took a cursory look and checked the HB.

I'm so in love....I just wish I'd start feeling the movements already - it would create a whole new bod between us. Hopefully it's not too much longer...

We are participating in a sequential screen meaning that I had the NT u/s and bloodwork on week 13 and will have blood drawn again on week 18. The first results came back pretty good so we're not too worried about that.

Have a great weekend everyone! :D

Thanks ladies for your welcome.

Karen, I don't know if you've read any of my ravings on other threads about lack of symptoms but right now I'm feeling pretty damn good. My energy levels are much better than a few weeks ago and I'm thinking of trying a daily walk and some swimming to try and restore my long lost fitness...May also try some pregnancy yoga in a few weeks....Great that we are two days apart, we can compare symptoms or lack thereof!!

Rae, congrats on your ultrasound. I can't wait for the 16 week one, It seems that I'm living for scans at the moment.
Also can't wait till the kicking starts, a mate told me a couple of days ago that that is when she really started to relax because she has a daily reminder that there is an active baby going off inside her!
