Happy Friday Girls.....

Well I just got back from my doctor's appointment and things are looking much better. No more protein in my urine, I lost a pound (water weight I'm sure) and my blood pressure is down a bit (138/80). I do have another appointment next week Tuesday just to follow-up. He wants to watch me closely just in case. He also did my Strep B test today while I was there... I should have the results back by next Tuesday. I also scheduled my u/s for next week Wednesday... can't wait to see our little girl again. However, he kind of scared me... he said that as long as I can keep my blood pressure around what it is now he could take me in a few weeks. I don't want to go that soon..... :( My baby shower isn't until May 12th and I want to at least make that.... I guess we'll wait and see what happens.

Girls- I too have to go out and get pajamas..... lately I have only been wearing a tank top & shorts (way to hot for anything else and that's even with a fan). I also have to get a nursing bra & regular underwear.... I don't think showing up to the hospital in a thong is going to cut it.

Colleen- Wow 32 weeks.... your little one will be here before you know it. Actually all of ours will be... kind of scary if you ask me. I think I'm having mixed emotions (happy & scared at the same time). Although I can't wait to see her and hold her in my arms.... my little girl!

Well today is beautiful outside.... I hope we get out early so I can enjoy at least some of it. We have a very low key weekend (which is good for me). Tomorrow we're going to my little cousin's little league game and then just home to relax... and Sunday nothing (just relaxing in the sun).

Chat w/ you all later....
Tasha

Well I am back from my doctor's appt. He said all is well with weight and BP, I actually lost 2 pounds in the last 2 weeks. I was actually happy to see that. :-) Well he reviewed my US from last week and says all looks good but he calculates my EDD of Jun 4 and that supports one of my early US. But he can see since this was an IVF baby why my EDD was not moved. But I went with a planned enducement data of 6 June to talk to him about and he agree with it. :-) So if Naomi decides not to grace us with her presence before June 6th we will be induced June 6th. :-) Yah a firm date to look towards. Doc still doesn't seem to think we will make it till then but I was told that for so long with my DD and then she was 2 weeks late before they enduced me. :-) The thought of being induced isn't appealing but it is more appealing then being late :-)

Thook I am glad your blood pressure is good again and there is no protein in your urine! Your little girl needs to bake a bit longer :-)

Colleen I am right behind you by a few days :-) Aren't you having a C-Section? If so do you have a date yet?

This should be my last very busy weekend, horse wise. :-) Then it is all smooth sailing and getting my house, nursery, bag and myself ready for Naomi's arrival.

Take care everyone,
Cowgirl

Hi gals--

It's beautiful outside here in Ohio! I came home from work and napped for an hour and then took my dog for a walk. Ahhhh....Fridays! ANd I'm 29 weeks today...almost to the 30 threshold!

Colleenl--Congrats on 32 weeks! Good advice about the pillows. WE actually do have white ones, so I'll change pillow cases. I do have a pump already. Do I need to bring it to the hospital? I figure I won't start pumping until the babies have mastered the latch. Am I clueless? Any advice would be great!

Tasha--I'm glad you had a good appt. That's great that your BP is down. I would be bummed about what the doc said too. I don't like the idea of being induced, unless there's a medical necessity. I guess I think they should cook as long as possible. Maybe you can talk with him more about this at your next appt.?

Cowgirl--Great job at your appt.! June will be here soooo soon!

Have a great weekend gals. I'm off to pack my bag!

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope you all had a nice weekend. It was beautiful here in NY the last couple of days. Temperatures in the high 70s. Which is a nice change from the 40s we were having over the last few weeks.

I'm running late for work this morning but Ijust wanted to check in quickly to say hi.

All my best.

Happy Monday all
Wow some of you have dates already. I can't believe how quickly time is flying by, just think in about 6 weeks some of you will be mummies how exciting.
Thook pleased to hear your appointment went well, lets hope your doc lets you last that little bit longer.
What great ideas you have about hospital bags, i haven't even thought about that yet but i will definatly be taking some of your advice on board especially the lipsalve ( i constantly use it) and the coloured pillow.
I am so excited because i am going to pick up my pram on Wednesday, it is the first piece of equipment i have got and is a pressie from Yaya (catalan for grandma), I have also booked my 4d scan for next wednesday and can't wait to see her again. I am still waiting for my appointment for diabetis test and will see my doc next Monday for check up. I have no energy today the weather is now really hot high 20's and we have family visiting. I was very naughty yesterday and had a bit of a chocolate craving, i am paying for it today and have a little acrobat wiggling loads, i think she might have got a bit to much sugar overload and so will stay away from chocky if i can.
My backache is much better since i got a maternity band it's great i would definatly recommend one. I am still getting pains under my ribs towards the top of my uterus but the midwife thinks it is not serious however i am going to mention it to doc anyway, has anyone else had pain like this?
Well take care all Ellie x

hi guys....monday here already.... the weather was GREAT this weekend.. we hit 80's yesterday!! it was so nice, even if i had a ton to do, and running here and there...

nance- glad to hear that you too had nice weather... it was just beautiful out... hope that you are well..

Kim- hope that you had a great weekend!! almost 30 weeks.. awesome!! you do not need to bring your pump to the hospital.. if the babies latch well to start then you can pump when you want to... if they are having trouble in the first few days, then i was told to pump to insure a good milk supply when they do get the BFing thing down.... is your bag packed??

Cowgirl- great appointment... all seems well, and june 6th... not to far away!! it's nice to have a "no later then date".. like my no later then date is may27th... i'm not having a section, i hope!! i've had to vaginals, so hoping the same for this one... how was the weekend?? horses go well

tasha- so glad that your BP is down... remember to rest and drink, and it's possible to hold out... to closer to due date... if the us is well and aubrey shows no signs of stress, they should wait to deliever... unless you get in the danger zone, and show other signs of HBP... so watch for the signs, and make sure they do whats best for you and aubrey... hang in there i think you'll be just fine!!!! rest and water

rachael- hope that you are well, and hanging in there... hope that dh is closer to a job...

i've had higher BP in the last few days...there are also a few more signs that my BP is getting worse, so we'll have to see what doc says tomorrow.. i think that i'm going to hear the bedrest words.... dreading those!! i'll let you know what happens in the next day or two...

have a great day, even tho it's monday

take care and stay cool...

Collen - that is so cool we are in similar boats and your's leaves a week earlier than mine. :-) I hope all goes well and you can get on here and post your experience :-) So many of us are so close to the same time. It should be an interesting race :-)

Ellie- so glad to hear all is going well. It does seem to start going kind of quick towards the end, but I am thankful for that because I am almost to the point of being miserable comfort wise most of the time. :-)

I am hoping all my really busy stuff that I am responsible for is done. I had my last horse show this weekend that I was responsbile for, prizes delivered and books done! Now I can focus on working on getting things cleaned up at home, packing and taking it easy. :-) I do have a few parties most weekends in May but I think everyone will understand if I just kick back and attend instead of being one of the BIG helpers.

Can anyone suggest a comfortable way to sit for work? I have a very adjustable chair at work, but I get very uncomfortable and can't sit. Its kinda hard to explain cause it is not a pain just very uncomfortable.

Well, everyone take care,
Cowgirl

cowgirl- have you tried an exercise ball... it's my best place... at home i move it around all over the place.. my chiro suggested it, and it's wonderfull... large and looks weird, but it helps a lot, as there is really no way to sit.. i do not know if at work you can hide it behind your desl or something, but if you have a chance or have one of the balls, get it out and try sitting on it.. and just sit at the parties and relax... i parked my big old butt by the food and water at the one party this weekend... it was a great place to be... except to close to the yummy, but loaded with salt, food... i think that it's not helping the BP problems...

angellica- good to hear that you are well, and have 2 scans coming up.. there seems to be a few scans in the near future... ours next is on the 4th.. good luck on the GTT...hopfully roman was just streeching out at the top, and he's not going to be too big....

take care

Happy Monday Girls.... this week is already crazy!

Cowgirl- glad to hear that your dcotor's appointment went well.... and it's great that you have a date picked out. It sounds like we could all be going pretty close to one another. How fun.....

Kim- yes the weather was beautiful this past weekend and it's supposed to be nice again this weekend.

Nance- glad to hear your doing well... keep in touch!

Ellie- glad to hear your doing well and that your back isn't hurting anymore... I wish I could say the same for mine. Take it easy and keep us posted.

Colleen- yes this weather is just beautiful... I rested and relaxed this weekend but still enjoyed the weather as much as I could. Sorry to hear your BP is high again and the thought of bed rest has into play... hopefully it doesn't happen.

Angellica- glad to hear your doing well... your 4d scan will be here before you know (how exciting). Take it easy and keep us posted.

As for us we're doing good... just enjoying the lovely weather. We have a bust week, but thankfully I'll be able to rest while at work. Tonight DH has his first softball game of the season, tomorrow we have a doctor's appointment & wednesday we have our ultrasound appointment. I'm so excited to see our little girl again... it's been way to long.

Well I hope everyone takes it easy and rubs their bellies extra tonight....

Hey gals,

I've been catching up on your posts....Glad most of you are doing welll--despite back pains, etc.

ellie--I have actually read that there was a study done on pregnant moms who ate chocolate during their pregnancy....most of the moms who ate chocolate had happier babies! Go figure! so, I can say I'm doing my part on making happy babies! (Except when it gives me heartburn...ugh)

Well, I actually just spent 4 hours at L&D tonight. Last night I started having menstrual-like cramps, but they went away when I lied down for an hour. However, today when I was teaching, the cramps lasted for hours. so, I called my doc and they had me go straight to L&D. Once again, they hooked me up to all the monitors, did tests, etc. I'm happy to report that all is well. It's just so frustrating to sit there and not know what's going on! :? But, I'd rather get "no news" than bad news. The doc on call thinks my OB will be cutting back my work schedule very soon. I go see the OB on Wednesday. We'll see what he says. [By the way--the doc at the hospital told me the cramps were probably due to baby A getting bigger and putting pressure on my lower part of my uterus.]

I'm hoping tomorrow is a better day! Good night gals!

Good Morning Girls....

Kim- sorry to hear you had to spend several hours in L&D... however, I was having some light cramping this past weekend, but once I sat down or lied down it went away. My doctor seems to think it is little aubrey (or should I say big aubrey) putting pressure on my uterus! But like you I'd rather hear no news instead of bad news.... take it easy and keep those babies comfy in your belly.

Well as for us we're off to another OB/GYN appointment today @ 5:15pm.... hopefully my BP is lower and still no protein in my urine. I'll just be happy if he lets me keep working and lets aubrey stay in as long as she can....

Hope you all have a great day!

Kim I am sorry you had to go to labor and delievery but glad everything turned out alright. In my opinion as an outsider looking in, YOU ARE DOING GREAT! You have the added pressure of two growing in there and you seem to be doing as well if not better than those of us only baking one! :-) My job is not physical at all so I can not even imagine what you are going through, all I know is after my physical weekends I am exhausted. And even though you have done well up to this point it has to get very demanding on your body as those babies get bigger. I am sure your doctor will reduce your work schedule shortly, I don't see how they couldn't. Good luck and take care of those babies :-)

Thook good luck tonight at your doctor's appt. and I hope you get good news as well!

Take care everyone!
