Hey ladies,
and thanks for inquiring about the weather - it has really been crazy here in Texas!! This latest tornado was luckily far from us, at the Mexican border, but I feel so bad for the people there, as these storms can be devastating. We had a big scare about a week ago, when there was a touchdown not far from here and we had to run to the concrete car park for shelter. This is my fifth spring here and it's never been so crazy and unexpected before.
Steph, I LOVE reading news like yours today

It's great that your mom could join you. Isn't it just wild how these little itty-bitty things grow and develop - become real people - like there's no tomorrow!
Sonya, sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. Luckily that will pass, at least for most women, within the next two months. Ginger may help a little bit - I found it easier to take it as capsules instead of sipping ginger tea - and so can peppermint tea. My biggest help, however, were seabands! My dr recommends them in her info package but when I told them at the office that I'd been using the bands, they were amazed because most women never try. Well, I did and they worked wonders! They cut the edge off the worst nausea so that I could fall asleep on the worst nights (I had evening, not morning, sickness) plus I could effectively prevent motion sickness which I get anyway but which really kicked in during my 1st trimester. I'm sure they don't completely take the m/s away if you're suffering from a bad case (I got off easy), but they're inexpensive and safe to use - def. worth a try!!!
I also had a scan today. Sadly, DH is in Europe on business so I had to go alone, but seeing the baby is always so magical. Can't be sure yet but my OB and I figured we may have seen something that looked like boy parts

But this will be revisited in four weeks when I have my structural U/s which will be done using supersharp technology.
But I think it's a boy!!!! Otherwise all looked well - it was a very short visit and my OB just took a cursory look and checked the HB.
I'm so in love....
