hi there girls... we are ok here... nothing new.. DH was home in the AM helping out, so i got a little nap in.. we are at the docs tomorrow... we'll see the results then of the blood and urine tests... hoping that it goes as well as tasha's appointment.. i've been trying to keep the BP down... i do not know why it's so high... it's like a switch was flipped and now the BP is really high... I've been swelling up a lot lately and at times have NO shoes that fit... even my elactic sandals... yeikes...

tasha- glad to hear that the appiontment went well.. hope that you can hangout till after your shower.... it would be funny if we ended up in the hospital at the same time.... weird. I was out in Rosemont this weekend... for a 90th and 60th b-day party... it was DH's side of the family.... i sat the whole time, but still had sausage feet at the end of the day... i'm nervous about what the doc's going to say..... hopfully good news and the tests were not bad... otherwise i really do not want to end up in L&D...

Kim- congrats on your 1st 1/2 day... i bet the nap i was great... i got a little cat nap of 30min or so this am... when DH was home... we had a hard night with 3YO... he had a 104 fever and tummy ache, so we were up a lot... i too, as DH puts it, have little sausage links for toes and my feet and legs look like tree trunks, and i almost couldn't get my rings off... had to dip in cold water and rip them off... there are times that i look at my face and say "wow, holly cow"

Cowgirl- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and good luck at the birthclass...i'm with you on the sleeping thing... i was a little better on the heartburn... but now it's worse ( i think it might be the meds) but now instead of just the heartburn... it's so bad i throw up a little while sleeping, and then start to choke.. i'm up almost every single hour during the night, and sleep propped up with a ton of pillows... nothing seems to work.. and i hear you about even water giving you heartburn... Hope that these weeks fly buy, maybe you'll drop and get a little heartburn releif...

hope that everyone else is well, and doing good... enjoy these last few weeks...

Colleen--Good luck at your appt. I hear you on the swelling and heartburn. Since it's been warmer here, I'm swelling a lot more. As for heartburn, I too, have had the pleasure of gagging in the middle of the night from heartburn! ugh! Have you talked to your ob about any relief? Maalox has helped me a TON! My ob also recommended propping the head of our bed up on some bricks or something real strong....however, we haven't taken that step yet!

Hope everyone else is well!

Hi girls, just checking in quick to see how you all are. I'm shattered tonight so off to bed in a bit.

Cowgirl- Glad your well and Happy Anniverasry!

Kim- glad your on half days now. Enjoy your relaxing afternoons.

Tasha- Glad the BP is doing good and the swelling is staying down. Hope it continues.

Colleen- hope your appointment goes well tomorrow. Thinking of you and do not envy you with the swelling.

Hope everyone is doing well. Rachel hope things are better for you.

I had a lovely relaxing pedicure today and foot and leg massage. It was lovely to sit in peace for an hour. Will definately be having another one before baby arrives!

Was just wondering how much movement everyone was feeling at 25 weeks. I really can't remember with DD, although she didn't really seem to move as much as other people said their babies did. At the moment I seem to have some days where the baby is moving all over the place and then I'll have a couple of days with hardly anything, which then makes me nervous and makes my sleep very restless as constantly waiting for a kick! Trying not to wind myself up as midwife says that movement isn't regular until at least 30 weeks. Must stop stressing about things, I'm a nightmare!

Take care all. (PS only 3 1/5 weeks left at work yeah!)

CaseyP--Wow! Only a little over 3 weeks left for you? You lucky duck! Enjoy your time off before the bambino arrives! My babies didn't really start kicking noticeably until 23 weeks or so. It took a few more weeks before it became more regular. My ob said around 28 weeks is when you should start paying attention for regular movement. I do know my little ones only seem to move when I'm sitting still, so if you're pretty active in the day, they may be lulled to sleep! Don't stress yet...you have some time!

As for me,well im officially 26 weeks this week, and i leave work 3 weeks on Friday..YEEE HAAAA...ive talked to my maternity leave co-ordinator,and im entitled to 39 weeks paid leave,so thats a huge bonus for us. Im also looking to going away for a few days, just me and Derek,we'd love some "us" time before im totally huge, and life with our baby takes over. Im feeling so uncomfortable just now,and sooo tired ALL the time,im trying not too moan too much as i know the difficult road we had to get here, but at times i just wanna cry!!

Take care of yourselves and babies, much love as always..Nicola..xx

Hello all!

Thanks for all the Happy Anniversery wishes, we had a very nice day together! The refresher birthing class wasn't all that, but we got the tour of the hospitial which was nice and got to watch movies of some birth stories which was kind of neat. There were LOTS of babies born there during the afternoon yesterday. They said at one point all 11 of the L&D rooms were full! And there were lots of babies in the nursery. I have a doctor's appt. friday and I am hoping he will check me and tell me if I have dialated any. :-) There was one girl in the class that is due May 9, but man she looked great.

Colleen - good luck on your appt. today! Please let us know how it goes.

Tasha - glad your blood pressure is doing well.

CaseyP and Nictor - it is nice to hear from you all. It must be nice to get all that leave :-) I am jelous :-) I am going to try and work up to the day, so I can have max time with the baby after. My work is pretty laid back so it shouldn't be any more stressful than being at home and if need be they would probably let me work from home more.

As if the heartburn and almost choking on my own vomit at night along with numerous trips to the restroom wasn't enough, I fear I have strep throat! :-( Do you guys think I could get my OB to perscribe meds or am I going to have to find a general practicioner? Since changing the insurance I don't have a regular doc yet.

Well take care everyone!!!!!

Good Morning Girls....

CasyP- it's so good to hear from you... wow only 3 1/2 weeks left of work fr you. How exciting.... also glad you had a wonderful pedicure. I'm actually going next Friday afternoon for my hair & a pedicure (need to look pretty for my baby shower). Well I think you have a few more weeks before your little one should start to move around all the time... although I have noticed Aubrey tends to move around more when I'm relaxed or right after I eat. It's like she's telling me - thanks Mom for feeding me!

Nictor- it's also great to hear from you... congrats on turning 26 weeks! Wow 39 weeks of leave... I'm so jealous. Although I can't really complain because even though I'm on bed rest right now, but work is still paying me and sending small stuff home for me to do. Take care and keep us posted....

Cowgirl- Sorry to hear your class wasn't all that... but at least you got a tour of the hospital. Also sorry to hear you might have strep throat.... I would definately ask your OB for a prescription. I know when I was sick a few moths ago my OB prescribed me me medicine (after all they know best as to what we can and can not take). Take care....

Well off to do some work from my couch... chat w/ you all later!

hi girls... we are still here and kicking... my appointment is tomorrow.. my head is in the clouds... we are still checking the bp... and i guess that the meds are helping a little... we are still hanging out.. trying to relax, altho the meds do have some side effects...

tasha- glad to hear you are well... good luck on the hair and nails... i got mine done yesterday, just incase the day comes earlier then we expect... the temps today are so much cooler then yesterday... it's making me crazy.... tomorrow we'll be at the docs at the same time... interesting to see what they say!! you are almost a week ahead of me... so the countdown will soon begin!!!! do you have any feeling on a date... i feel like it's going to be the 20th, for us... just a feeling, nothing concerete..

cowgirl- you are a few days behind me, but you have the induction date, right?? maybe you'll be earlier then that.... i like, well, not really like, but like to know if i'm dialated, and it makes me feel like these darn conrtactions are actually doing something.. i think that it makes it more real that it going to happen soon... good luck on your check on Friday... hopfully you'll find out your dialating... lots of babies on the tour... we deceided not to do the tour, well i thought that i would be there sometime before birth, but so far so good!! i know that my ob would give me the meds... so ask for them... good luck on the vomitm and pee trips... i'm right there with you!!!

Nicola-wow, what great leave you have!! we here get 6-8 weeks paid..have a nice "us" time....we've been trying for that, and it hasn't happened... so we are still waiting... only 3 more weeks... that's great... sorry that you are tired...hopfully that will get a bit better... i forgot, but you were checked for anemia?? that make you really tired..

Kim-I'm asking my doc about the maalox... it's on my list of questions. i need to write them down, or else i forget... the pregnancy really make me forget, and kind of spacey.... i do not think that we could prop the bed up, as we have a watermattess.... the thing weighs a ton, for real... but i do use a ton of pillows, then my back hurts.. it's like a lose lose situation.. how are the 1/2 days treating you?? more naps?? or are you trying to get things done... i finally got my swing and bouncer back today ( i lent them to my girlfriend a while back) i'm waiting to see if my other girlfriend's baby will be out of the bassinet by them time we have the baby, otherwise i think that i'll have to get one, i might go to once upon a child...

casy-i do not remember... but i think that the kicks started more and more after 26 weeks... i found that the baby moves the most right after we settle down to bed, my babies always are big time movers and shakers.. there are days now, that there are fewer movements... just as long as there are 4 in an hour... usually after a meal or something like juice to drink... you only have 3 more weeks... good for you, enjoy the time!!!

well, girls... i hope that all is well, and you are all taking care!!!

Nictor--Wow! 39 weeks!? I can't even imagine! I can't complain since I"m on 1/2 days now, but wow--you gals in England have some great maternity leave! GEez! I hope you do manage to get away before the baby comes!

Cowgirl---Good luck at your appt. I'm sure the doc will prescribe you something. No need to go to another doctor for that.

Tasha--Glad to hear bed rest is treating you well. Are you napping at all?

Colleen--Good luck getting the bassinet back! I would hope that your friend would realize you're going to need it reaaaallll soon! We actually still have a ton of things to get. I'm a bit frustrated because our friends are not getting gifts off our registry. Although they are generous, it's not really stuff we asked for. :? I can return some of it, but not all. So, I have a feeling I'll be hitting Once Upon A Child too for some decent stuff at cheaper prices. Good luck at your appt. tomorrow!

As for me, I was pretty busy today. I tried to nap, but heartburn got in the way. I did manage to run out to the mall because I needed some pants--I'm quickly outgrowing the ones I have! I managed to find some capris on sale at Old Navy and some tank tops too. I hate to buy any more maternity clothes at this point in time, but I'm getting too HUGE!

Have a good night gals!

Hello Girls,

I have been around reading, but really busy. I have been working on getting my youngest son's room finished (still needs a second coat of paint). On top of that, we worked the Scout Fair booth all day Saturday. That was fun and I ate loads of unhealthy but really yummy food! Yesterday we had our new mattress delivered and so I had an awesome and very restful night's sleep. It is amazing how good our new matress feels. Our old one was 10 years old and sagging everywhere. The only problem is now the bed is much higher and I have trouble getting in and out (kind of odd since I am 5' 9" tall, but the belly seems to make everything more difficult). Tomorrow I am off so I can pack and get ready for our campout. We will be sitting around a huge campfire tomorrow night roasting fresh popcorn and talking about funny things that have happened. I love the first night of a campout because on the people who love camping come out at night. Most of the other arrive Saturday and only spend one night.

Tasha and Colleen - I hope you two hang in there. I have been on the meds to stop the contractions for a month now and in two weeks they will stop them. For some reason once I make it to 34 weeks, the baby decides they would rather stay inside and then I carry till 37 weeks. I pray your little ones are able to come home with you. I would die if mine had to stay. When Christian (our youngest) had menegitis at three months old, the hospital tried to make me leave. They wanted me to wear a breathing mask and gloves, but I refused and told them if he was dying, I may as well go with him. They left me alone, but they did cultures on me every day and placed me on antibotiotics to stop the spread. Needless to say, I did not get it and Christian got better. Anyway, you two need to take it easy!

Kim - I hope you angels keep getting bigger. The bigger the better for yours. You are lucky to have been able to carry so well. So many of the other girls with multiples have had more problems and were placed on bedrest early on.

CasyP - Glad to hear you are well. We are all so very close. I was playing with a little baby yesterday and it dawned on me that we will be holding ours in less than 7 weeks. I have started dreaming about what she will look like.

Cowgirlclass - I know what you mean about the refresher claass. I passed it up this time since I was not inpressed the last time and I am rerquired to do a C-section. I do not want to hear about the stages of labor when I will not be allowed to progress there.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and stays safe!

hi girls.. we are back from the doc.... nothing to new.. i guess that nothing is that bad yet, he did say that we are waiting till next week...because that is when i took a downhill turn with my other pregnancies... so we'll see... they did the NST and baby was sleeping, so we were there a long time (1hour 45min)... finally they buzzed the little guy.. i should have had a little sugar or something this am.... he did up my meds... kind of prepairing for my BP to get worse, better to have it lower, it lessens the risks...

Rachael- have fun at camping, but remember to still try and take it easy.. I could go for aome unhealthy yummy food right now... nothing actually seems to be tasting good... stuff that i liked does not taste as good, even tho it's good for you.. salad tastes like dirt, and chicken has really no taste... it's weird!! glad that your new matress is great... we have a water matress, and i love it.. we each have our seperate controlls and heat, and seperate movements centers... i can not sleep with a regular matress... my back is dead in the morning...

Kim- glad to hear that you got the pants and tanks... i've deceided that i'm not buying anything else... i actually an going to cut my jeans for shorts... i've only got a few weeks... i just wish the weather would stay either warm or cooler... we are 80's one day the mid 60's the next.. sorry to hear about people not getting things off the registry...it stinks that you can not return, or exchange it for what you need!!!

tasha- hope that your appointment went well...

Good Afternoon Girls....

Well I'm back from my doctor's appointment today and everything looks good... my BP actually went down to 140/80 and I lost another pound. Kind of strange since I thought I'd be gaining weight since I'm just sitting around the house... but I'm sure it's water weight I'm losing. I have another appointment on Monday @ 2:15pm. I asked him about inducing me (because I'm ready), but he says we have to wait and see.... he doesn't want me to go to early.

Colleen- glad to hear your appointment went well. Well I was hoping for May 18th, but I have a feeling that won't be happening. I believe we're going to start doing internals next week to see if I'm dilated at all... probably not.

Kim- glad to hear you got some capris & tanks... I've decided not to buy any more maternity clothes either... I'm done. Well I wish I could say I've been napping, but I haven't.... I have been working and relaxing on the couch, but that's it.

Racheal- glad to hear that your doing better... have fun camping this weekend, but remember to take it easy and rest if you can. Also that's great news about your new mattress... I love our matress (it's only about 3 years old). Plus I love having our King Size Bed (especially being pregnant).

Well here's wishing you all a great day and night.... chat w/ you girls tomorrow.
