hi girls..

tasha- hang in there. i know that it's frustrating..but it's better if you wait a few weeks so that aubrey has no problems, you want her to come home with you... try at least to make it to 37 weeks....please let her cook that long... After 37 weeks... any time you want to have her... i know what you feel about being ready to have the baby..i 'm there too, but holding out as long as i can, up to 37 weeks... i know that the bedrest sucks... but hang in there... it will be better in the long run!!!!!!!!!! even if they are healthy, they are harder to feed when early.... so try, and i'm right there with you... one day at a time and she'll be here soon enough!! PS... KingSize beds are a must for us!!!!

as for us... we are ok... had my ultrasound today, and baby weighs 4 lbs 13 oz... so growing well.. baby has slowed a litttle on the growth, probably because of the BP, but still in the ok range... the bowels looked good... only one small bright spot.. and they said that it was really small... we go back in two weeks, they said for our last one, because we'll have the baby then, right after or just before then... so we are still playing the waiting game!! i'm waiting with you tasha!! we still did not get a look at the privates... the baby also had his arm and hand by his face, so we couldn't get a good look... even in the 3D... we tried hard to get him to move his arm, but no way.. they said it was also harder because he is engaged and way down in my pelvis... so harder to freely move around!!

well, i hope that everyone is well, and enjoy your weekend!!!

Happy Friday Girls....

Colleen- glad to hear that your ultrasound went well today - 4lbs 13 oz is great - our little aubrey was 4lbs 12oz about a week ago at our ultrasound. Also good news about the bowels... however, sorry to hear you didn't get a good look at your little one. But just think your little one will be here befoe you know it....

As for us we're doing ok. Just doing some work at home and relaxing. We actually have a semi-busy weekend (Communion Party tomorrow afternoon and a Cubs Game on Sunday). I did ask my doctor about both and he said I could go as long as I relaxed as much as I can.... thankfully the party tomorrow is at my cousin's house - this way I can put my feet up and relax. And hopefully I'll be ok at the Cubs game... I'll just have to sit and relax as much as I can.

Well I hope your all hanging in there and doing well.

Chat w/ you girls later-
Tasha

Hi Everyone,

I hope that everyone is well. I can't believe how close we are all. It seems like yesterday that we were waiting for our fist scan and now we are almost done.

Tasha - Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Have a great time but take it as easy as you can. It is great that you BP is down. Try to hold on a few more weeks. The longer Aubrey cooks in there the better off she will be.

Colleen - 4lb 13onz sounds like a great weight to me. They say that the growth slows down a lot near the end. That is fantastic about the bowels. Get as much rest as you can. How are you feeling. Are you sleeping ok?

Kim - How are you doing? I hope you are feeling well. How is the heartburn? I hear that once the babies drop that should ease up a liitle bit. Hopefully at least enough that you can get some rest.

Rachael - How much are you loving that new mattress? How did the campout go? I'm glad your spirits are better. This experience is such an emotional roller coaster just remember that we are here when you need us.

Nictor - I can't believe that you get 39 weeks of paid leave. That is fantastic. Is that per year or a one shot deal? You are so lucky. Since I am not going back to work I lose out on getting any type of paid leave. I'm hoping that I can collect unemployment since I was told that I do not have a job to come back to. We will see. If not, we will just tighten our belts and will be fine.

Cowgirl - How are you feeling? Your shower is this weekend, right? Have a great time. You have to let us know all the great stuff that you get. Mine is Sunday also. I can't wait. I keep checking my registry to see what I have gotten and so far it looks like everything I really need is off the list. I have no idea where to put everything in my little house but I'm sure we will find a place. How did your Dr's appointment go yesterday? Are you sleeping any better?

Casy - How are you doing? It is good to hear from you. Only three weeks left of work, you must be so excited. I'll be working for about three or four weeks more also then I am done. I can't wait. Especially since we have nothing done in the house yet I'm going to need that time to get the nursery done and all set up. I honestly can't wait to stop working. They originally asked me to stay until the end of May but now asked if I could work until the last possible second. I really do not want to work that long but we can use the $$ so I guess we will see how I feel at that point. At 25 weeks I still was not feeling that much movement at all. It was not until about 29 weeks that I felt her on a more consistantly. I know it is hard not to worry. I still do every second. I keep hoping that the worrying would stop but it only changes from one thing to another. I guess that is to be expected after what it took for us to get here.

As for me I am doing pretty well. I had an appointment this week and everything still looks good with Lily. Her heartbeat is just fine. The Dr. said that I will only have one more US before I am due. I'm going now to the Dr's every week and 1/2 and when June hits he said I should see him every week. I am getting very tired these days and uncomfortable. I'm tired of the heartburn and can not wait for that to be over. But I really should not complain because overall I am feeling pretty good. My big concern (and this is very embarresing) is that about 8 years ago I was told that I had herpes so I am now panicked that I am going to give it to the baby during delivery. My Dr. said he is going to put me on medication in a few weeks to try to prevent that from happening but there is a chance that I will need a c-section. Part of me thinks I should just go with the C to be on the extra safe side but I know that has it own set of risks. I am just so worried but I know that one way or another she has to come out. So I am just praying for the best. I also have no idea how to explain the C to my family. Being nobody knows (and I would like to keep it that way) I am afraid that they will find out when I deliver. I'm thinking about just telling them that I have to have a C because the baby has not turned but I hate lying. Does anyone have any encouraging stories that they can share to calm me down a little?

Sorry for the long post. I hope you all have a great weekend!!

All my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Hi guys. Hope your all enjoying the weekend.

We had a lovely day in the sun, met some old friends for lunch and had a nice walk in the forest. DD was shattered, hopefully she'll sleep well!

Tasha- Hope you managed to enjoy the weekend and take things as easy as possible.

Kim- How the heartburn, hope it doesn't stop you resting.

Colleen- Glad the scan was good, sorry you couldn't see as much as you'd like tho!
Weight seems good, that must be so reassuring.

Nictor- We are lucky aren't we having 39 weeks paid leave. I haven't decided about going to back to work as I only work 2 days at the moment anyway and not sure that it will be worth doing that with 2 children in child care. So I am only taking the statutory maternity pay so if I don't go back I won't owe them any money. As a nurse tho I will need to work somewhere to keep up my registration but not going to stress about this until nearer to Christmas!

Rachel- Glad your feeling more positive and hoping it continues so you can enjoy the rest of this pregnancy.

Nance- Sorry your having to stress about the delivery. I think I read though that you can only pass it t baby if you have a flare up at delivery and if Dr. puts you on medication to stop that sounds like it should be fine to have a vaginal birth. I'm sure if there was a risk they will suggest the C-section, but can definately see why you won't want to tell your family about this. Anyway it's nothing they should know. Hope your mind is soon put at rest.

Thanks everyone for the advice on movement. I think because I didn't even feel DD until about 23 weeks I wasn't worried about movements at this stage last pregnancy , but I have felt this baby since 17 weeks and figured I should be feeling more by now. It has however definately been more active tonight after a naughty small glass of coke! I really try to avoid it but so fancied it! Gave little one a sugar rush!

Take care all

Hi all. I have finally managed to grab alittle quiet time to catch up with you all.
Hope everyone is trying to relax and enjoy the weekend.
Rachel we have a memory foam mattress and i love it. I love having a new bed it makes you want to spend all day in it. Which of course i would never do!!
Nance and cowgirl enjoy your showers. I have some friends who are buying me bits and bobs but not really a shower they sound like fun.
Nance I am sure if your doctor feels you would be better with a c section he would tell you. I can understand why you don't want to tell your family why, we all have skeletons in our closet that our family don't need to know about and it doesn't change who we are. I love the name Lily that was one of our favourites. Pleased she is doing well. Sorry about the heartburn, i'm hoping i can avoid that.
Hang in there Tasha, you are doing a great job try and hang in as long as you can. I am sure Aubrey can't wait to meet you. Her room looks lovely and i really like her cot. It's just what i would choose. Not sure what mine looks like yet a friend is loaning us one and i will collect it on Wednesday.
I went for my 4D scan and everything is really good. Isabella weighs over 1kg and has very long legs like her dad(he is 6ft 4inch). However i think she wants us to wait until her big arrival before we see her propably because she had her foot in front of her face the whole time and no matter how hard my doc tried she wouldn't move. It does look like she has chubby cheeks though, only 12 weeks to go.
take care all and i will catch up soon

Hello Girls-

Well the weekend is over with and I'm now sitting on my couch w/ my feet up... today was a long day and I'm glad it's over with, plus the Cubs Won!

Nance- it's good to hear from you.... also glad to hear that Lily is doing well. I agree w/ all the other girls... if your doctor thinks you might be at risk of passing the herpes to your little girl then he'll suggest a C, but if not then a vaginal birth should be fine.... also you don't have to lie to your family - just don't tell them. They don't need to know... good luck sweetie.

CasyP- sounds like you had a very nice weekend... also having a little coke once in awhile is ok! I'm eating a Dairy Queen Blizzard right now myself.... Aubrey loves it.

Ellie- glad to hear that Isabella is doing well.... sounds like your going to have a tall little girl on your hands.

Nicola- happy to hear you got your moses basket... I'm sure you can't wait to use it. However, sorry to hear the heartburn is killing you... have you tried Tums?

Well I hope the rest of you are doing well.... Racheal (hope the camping trip was fun), Colleen (hope your little one is cooking nicely in there), Kim (hope your heartburn is getting better) and Cowgirl (hope you had a great baby shower this weekend).

More tomorrow.....
Tasha

Hi gals...

Oh, what a busy weekend for me! I had a small baby shower with my family yesterday. Got a double jogger stroller and my 2nd car seat...so now both babies can come home with us! :) The jogger will hopefully help me get back to my running self after I'm given the all clear by the doctor. Today, I planted some flowers in my flower boxes and went to dinner with an old college friend. Now, of course, I'm suffering terrible heartburn. OH, Colleen, I wish I had lemonade right now--I would give it a try! :(

Tasha--I'm glad Friday's appt. went well, and good luck tomorrow! I know you're anxious for your little princess to arrive, but let her keep cooking if you can! By the way, my 95 year old grandpa is a HUGE cubs fan....he says he's waiting for the cubs to win a world series before he dies...I don't think he's going anytime soon! It would so make his year if they did well, though!

Colleen--I'm glad your u/s went well! He sounds like he's a good weight so far...keep on cooking!

Nance--good luck with your situation. Your family really doesn't need to know WHY you might have a c-section. You can just tell them it was by doctor recommendation...if you even need it! He may say vaginally is fine too! He'll decide what's best for a healthy baby.

Ellie--I'm glad your 4d went well! Sounds like she's got a good weight! She also seems to be a goofball with the camera, huh? I hope your crib from your friend works out for you! By the way, Ellie is my #1 girl's name, if we have any girls!

Nicola, your moses basket sounds gorgeous. How long will the baby be able to sleep in it? Not many people over here have moses baskets...that's a new thing for me!

TAsha--my babies also love blizzards from DQ! Oreo seems to be their favorite! ha ha! WHat's Aubrey's?

Well, I'm off to write more thank you notes from my shower. It's amazing how much "stuff" we've gotten, yet there's still a lot more that we need! Yikes! I'm sure we'll manage...

Take care of your bellies! Good night!

Good Morning Girls!

I made it home yesterday by 1:00 pm and fell asleep on our dreamy mattress. All three of us slept until 8:00 pm (my oldest DS spent the weekend with friends and thus stayed up watching movies till then), when we woke up we were all starving so we went to Red Lobster and ate shrimp untill we could barely move. Upon returning home, we went right back to sleep!

The campout was perfect. The weather was wonderful with a breeze blowing all weekend. We saw white tailed deer, alligators, fish, birds (loads of owls), frogs and to top it off, there were no mosquitoes! We had pancakes for breakfast, chili dogs for lunch, chicken and rice for dinner, strawberry/blueberry cobbler for dessert and hot chocolate (old fashion way) and smores for a late night snack. We also weent hiking and fishing and we even got to climb a huge oak tree (not me of course). This really helped me out since it is someting I have really missed. I did have to spend a couple of hours in the evenings with my feet up drinking loads of water because I was very swollen, but it went down with the resting. I will have to post a picture of me standing about 6 feet from the deer as they were grazing though. It was very refreshing. I feel so much better.

Colleen - I am glad to hear eveerything is coming together. I am excited about seeing pics of your little angel. As for seeing what he/she is, at this point does it really matter. You are going to know in just a few weeks. Stay in the bed and get loads of rest!

Tasha - You are doing great! I know what you mean about wanting the Aubrey here. Before they gave me the Paxil, I was really bad off. I was uncomfortable and very moody. I was having very vivid dreams about my uncle that had recently past away and I couldn't get the energy to do anything. Although it did not work instantly, I am finally pulling out of my rut and getting my energy and spirit back. Now I just have to hang on to it until our delivery date. Take it easy, you will miss all this mess when she is out!

Kim - I really have no idea how you manage to stay to chipper! Out of all of us, you should be the one with the most to complain about, yet you don't. I am glad your baby shower when well. As for the heartburn, I was told it is okay to take Pepcid AC as long as I did it seperately from my vitamins. It works perfect for me and you might want to ask about it. I only take it once a day and the heartburn is practically gone.

Nictor - My friend, I am so glad you are doing well. All of our babies will be here soon. I know I am excited, but there are so many things I want to do before she comes that I am dreading it. See, with the C-Section, I can count out any chance of driving for at least 4 weeks and no heavy lifting either. I am hoping to go to a furniture auction this month so I can finish getting our movie room decorated and I must take the boys fishing again. I still have not bought the car seat for Makayla and I have to make arrangements for the boys to go to my MIL's for a week or so after Makayla is born. That way the do not have to deal with an over emotional mom right away. Add to that, DH is now determined to finish renovating the downstair living/reading room. Soon enough we will all be running around after our little beanies!

Ellie - Both DH and I have very different tastes in mattresses. He want the memory foam, but I wanted something really firm. In the end, we settle for a mix of both. I got a mattress with the memory foam mounted on a pocket coil frame. We love it with one exception, the sheets we had do not have deep enough pockets (18") so we have to get some new bedding for it. At least it will be lovely while I revocer from my C-Section. For now, I just kind of roll are on it.

CasyP - I bet your little one enjoyed the treat! Makayla went nuts about an hour after I ate the cobbler and the whole crowd was watching her move in the firelight! It was really funny!

Nance - I am thrilled to hear Lily is doing well! As for the C-Section, your OB will not stear you wrong. They really only want the best outcome for you and your little one. If it is possible to avoid the C-Section, you will be much better off. Trust me, after two, I wish I could avoid another one. I didn't want the first one or the second one, and I certainly do want the third. However, I have been trying to get used to the idea since I have not been given a choice. Kepp you Lily strong!

Well, I really need to go back to work. Loads of love to all your little ones. Stay safe and round!

Hello ladies! I feel like I have been MIA the last week. I have not been able to post or even read for that matter due to a TERRIBLE cold/flu. I am not a 100% yet, but feel much much better. I didn't even go to my doctor's appt. friday because I was so sick. I have a make up appt. today. :-)

Rachal it sounds like you campout was GREAT! Red Lobster sounds great right now, since I can actually eat again, but unfortuantely my eyes are bigger than the room in my tummy. :-)

Colleen I hope you are resting and the BP is doing better.

Tasha - hope you are doing well and resting also. Let us know what happens at your appt. today. :-)

Kim all I can say is you are an inspiration :-) and that is great news about you baby shower.

Nictor, Ellie and CasyP - its nice to hear from you and I am glad you are doing well. We will all be there before you know it. We will be counting down the days together, posting birth stories and wondering when one of us goes a day without posting if "maybe it was time" :-) I can't wait.

Nance, I feel your pain about the C-Section, I really do not want one, but at the same time I will do whatever is best for Naomi. Unfortuantely I do not actually "trust" my doctor's guidence yet. Partially because he is new to me and partially because he is so pro c-section. I just plan to ask lots of questions and be determined if the decision is made that a C-section is best.

Well take care everyone!
