Tanya I know what you mean... I am trying not to get too excited but its not working....I went out and bought 2 HPTs the other day from the dollar store 1 so I can make sure trigger shot is gone and the other .. hee hee well.... I have no self control

marsxp- Welcome and I started my stims(Gonal & Repronex) on 4/28 and my ER is 5-8.Not sure how your clinic does it but no matter when it is. Good luck to you :)

Ok I am a lil sad after visit with RE I am so used to being an over achiever when it comes to eggs But this time on day 8 of stims I only have 8 that are big enough to measure per my clinics standards.... So this is what I have PLEASE tell me what you think:

2 measureable on right with 12 under 10
6 measureable on left with 10 under 10
My ER is in 3 days (WOW) Is there a chance that they will "catch up"??

You wait so long and you blink and it is almost time Shewww. Good luck to everyone.
Hope you all are having a great weekend.
Stephanie

Hey gals, I went for another scan this morning and I had 4 good size (over 14mm) with a few smaller ones. RE wants me to stim another night then go back in the am for another check. Hopefully, I'll have 6 total (only 1 ovary). Sooooo, now my ER will be on Wed the 9th instead of Tues.

My2LnT - I know what you mean about trying not to get excited. I'm doing much better this time but it's hard not too.

Marsxp - I started stims on 4/28 also. It all depends on what your RE thinks. I was supposed to have ER on Tues but am pushed to 4/29 now. Hopefully, better results. Welcome!!!

I cannot believe so many of you are almost there. It seems like just yesterday that we were starting this thread and saying it was a long ways away until we started doing anything, and here we are!!!

Well, non IVF talk this afternoon...Went shopping today and thougth DH would be so proud of me. I only spent money on groceries...nothing more. As I was loading my groceries I closed the trunk and realized that I had laid my keys in the trunk  Yikes...no keys. DH is out of town and the only other person who has a spare key was also out of town. So, had to spend that "extra" money on getting a locksmith  Oh well, in the grand scheme of life it was minor.

AF has arrived in full force. It was so nice going so many months without the mean ol' lady. I am hoping by going back on BC tomorrow, she will go away.

Jenn- You commented about my doctors saying I was getting accustomed to the birth control pills. I know what you mean about people being on BC for years without ever having to change anything. However, I am on continuous BC so that I never have a period. That beng the case, your body can get used to the BC pills. So I went off the pills on Thursday and am having a "normal" period. Gosh, I really did not miss the real AF. I just hope this works. I have been spotting for almost 3 weeks now. I will start my pills back up tomorrow.

Marsxp- Welcome to our group. Please keep us up to date on where you are in your cycle and how things are going. We are always here for you.

TansRn- Bloated?!?!? I am really tall, and when I did this the last time I was horribly bloated. I was almost begging them to do ER. It is just a feeling that you really can't explain to anyone who has never gone through this. However, in the end it is all worth it when holding your little baby.

My2lnT- I am so glad that things went better with your new acc How many needles did they do this time? Did your clinic recommend doing accupuncture?

Mandeeq- Welcome to the board:)

I know I missed several...dd just waking up and must go comfort her.

hrobinson - are you sure you're not stimming yet? :D That's something I usually do, especially while stimming. Your head becomes mush... You're getting closer.

angela - how did your yard sale go? did you sale lots? I usually have one at least once a year. I threaten that I'll never do another then do it anyway. But we always seems to make alot of money that way. Not a good day here for one, rainey and cool.

TransRN - how did the trigger shot go? Last time, I couldn't do it myself. DH had to leave his job to give me mine. That needle was just a little bit too long for me.... :) Good luck at your retrieval tomorrow.

Jenn - so when is AF supposed to arrive? I noticed you are a "flare" girl too. Do you use menopur and antigon?

hrobinson- Thats too funny But did you know that if you both have the little boxes to lock/unlock your vehicle if DH is somewhere else you can use your cell and aim it toward your door and have DH hit the button and it will unlock your vehicle? I heard it and me and DH had to try that out. This time I had a total of 10 needles clinic does not say one way or the other but does had out a card for someone if that is what you want to do.

Tanya- Good luck tomorrow!!!!!!!! Hope all goes well and they get lots of eggies!!!

OK burning dinner .... Gotta Run......

marsxp- I know exactly what you are saying. the first time around I really didnt think the proceedure worked, so I wasn't focusing on anything. I was really pretty down most of the time.
Well, I guess since it worked once, my hopes are WAY too high this time. However, this time all I am thinking about is twins. I want them sooo bad. Everything I look at, I say twins, twins, twins. UGh!!! I haven't even started anything yet  Three weeks though and I will be on the way.

My2LnT- That is so interesting. I just talked to dh and told him about that. we will defiinately try it. Of course, he is on a fishing trip, so he probably didn't even have his keys with him.

Angela- I too am in the need of havingn a garage sale. I have a real hard time departing with things though. What if I need it in ten years? i do much better when dh "helps" me depart with my things. We did have one about 2 years ago though and it was really successful. My neighbor and I are going to try to do one this summer...with all the IVF stuff though, it's ard to actually set a date for it.

Well, I hope everyone has a good night. I am headed off to bed. AF is really killing me. Hopefully this is the last time I will have her for the next year or so :D

Update again....I went for another scan this morning and RE decided for me to trigger tonight, ER on Tues instead of Wed. My LH is starting to climb so RE doesn't want to take chances.

marsxp - I know how you feel about looking for nursery items. I actually have already purchased my crib set (Looney Tunes) back in January when I was pg with my 1st IVF. After my m/c, I made DH store all of it in the outbuilding. I couldn't handle looking at it.

TransRN - how did your ER go?

Jovigal - Good luck with trigger you are being pushed up and I am being pushed back..So best of luck.

marsxp - I also know what you mean when I did the first cycle I looked at all the baby stuff to.

As for here I am being pushed back a day. He said it looks like I am maybe just a day lagging. But on the good side my lil eggies are growing and there were 16 to measure ranging from 11x10 to 16x15 with 16 still too small.

Will post more later.

Steph - where is Lorton, VA? I've heard of Norton, Va, which is about 45min from me. sounds like you have lots of eggies coming to maturity.

Good morning ladies,

How are you doing? I'm doing great, though that darn turista is not going away! I'll have to see a doctor tomorrow... :( Ah, well! It's not too handicapping, so I'm not complaining! Viva Pepto Bismol! Other than that, we're having a great weekend so far. I found something that I was looking for to make a nice top for the flamenco show next Saturday. I'll sew it today. Yay! I'm really looking forward to see the final result! And we're working on the garden... my DH removed two bushes and he'll remove a third this afternoon. This will make extra space for our garden and for flowers. Could not make me happier! :)

We discussed IVF a little bit this morning... We checked our insurance and we'll have enough money to cover the meds for this second attempt, but that's it. I thought it was not too bad because, if this fresh cycle attempt should result in a BFN, we'd still have at least one FET to try, if not two. That would keep us busy till mid-October at the earliest.

However, my DH hinted that IVF costs a lot of money and, with the renovations that we made and our other expenses... we've not saved much (not at all in my case) during the last year. I'm hoping, and I think, that he will change his mind about doing a third fresh cycle if we need it, next year... but now that this third fresh cycle is more iffy, it makes me more nervous about this one. It's not too bad, but it's still there... *sigh* We'll see what happens. Must not think too far ahead! :D

Mandeeq: a warm and heartfelt welcome to the nut house! :) I'm glad that AF did not make you wait too long, poor thing, after all that excruciatingly long time that you had to wait! I'm really glad that you joined us; thanks for sharing your story and the best of luck for your FET! *hugs*

TansRN: WOOHOO! You ROCK girl! This is comiiiiiiiiing! It's SO exciting, dear! *jumps up and down* Sorry to hear that you're high risk for OHSS, though... :( But they seem to keep you on a close watch, so that must lower your anxiety a little bit. LOL I bet you can't wait to POAS! What is PIO exactly? Great job for the lining! How did your ER go? I hope it went smoothly! I sure had a little thought for you!

My2LnT: thanks for the comments about the list! I'm really glad that you found an acupuncturist that you can trust more! Woohoo for that! And yes, I think that 3 sessions will help you. My acupuncturist did not start working on ET before I had it, only the day after. Before ER, he just worked on keeping me zen. So yes, three treatments will be enough. In fact, I'll start acupuncture later in my cycle this time, both because of practical and schedule reasons.I'm really sorry to hear that you're disappointed at your ovaries' performance. From your last post, however, it doesn't look bad at all! Sixteen is an amazing number, no? But it does only take one, sweetie... my boss' wife had only 6 collected, and only 1 fertilized... she was DEVASTATED, as you can imagine... Well, their adorable baby daughter was born in March! :D

marsxp: WELCOME! :D Glad you joined! A first IVF is always stressful. But the most precious thing I learned from experience, my dear, is to LET GO! You can never predict what will happen! I'm 28, and I though I would stimm for something like 8 days only, LOL! Took FOUR u/s before they gave me the OK to trigger (12 days). The best way to know how far you are from ER is to ask your doctor! ;) They usually don't want to trigger you before your follicles reach 18mm or so. They want them between 18mm-25mm. So that gives you an idea. But sometimes, just like I did, your eggs can evolve slowly and then BOOM! Your ovaries turn into grapes between two u/s. You can never predict... so just let go, and what needs to happen will happen. You'd have a darn good excuse to miss that exam anyway, and you'd have the chance to do it a day later or so, I'm sure of that. Believe me, you'll be in no shape to do an exam on ER day, or even for a couple of days afterwards. I had minor bleeding from ER to ET three days later, and I was in pain for two days straight, 24h after ER. You might want to prepare yourself for that, because it was a surprise for me. You won't roll on the floor, screaming and calling to God, but be prepared for the possibility that you might be uncomfortable even with Tylenol. A hot bottle on the tummy helps. Best of luck for your BFP! :D

Jovigal: wow, congrats on the great count! :D Good job sweetie, I'm happy for you! Grow follies, grow! Congratulations on getting the OK for the trigger shot! This is happeniiiiing! Yay! :D

hrobinson: totally get you on the speed of this thread! Whew! Time really flies!

Okay, gotta do that list and eat something! I'm starving! Have a great Sunday ladies!
