Good morning ladies,
How are you doing? I'm doing great, though that darn turista is not going away! I'll have to see a doctor tomorrow...

Ah, well! It's not too handicapping, so I'm not complaining! Viva Pepto Bismol! Other than that, we're having a great weekend so far. I found something that I was looking for to make a nice top for the flamenco show next Saturday. I'll sew it today. Yay! I'm really looking forward to see the final result! And we're working on the garden... my DH removed two bushes and he'll remove a third this afternoon. This will make extra space for our garden and for flowers. Could not make me happier!
We discussed IVF a little bit this morning... We checked our insurance and we'll have enough money to cover the meds for this second attempt, but that's it. I thought it was not too bad because, if this fresh cycle attempt should result in a BFN, we'd still have at least one FET to try, if not two. That would keep us busy till mid-October at the earliest.
However, my DH hinted that IVF costs a lot of money and, with the renovations that we made and our other expenses... we've not saved much (not at all in my case) during the last year. I'm hoping, and I think, that he will change his mind about doing a third fresh cycle if we need it, next year... but now that this third fresh cycle is more iffy, it makes me more nervous about this one. It's not too bad, but it's still there... *sigh* We'll see what happens. Must not think too far ahead!
Mandeeq: a warm and heartfelt welcome to the nut house!

I'm glad that AF did not make you wait too long, poor thing, after all that excruciatingly long time that you had to wait!

I'm really glad that you joined us; thanks for sharing your story and the best of luck for your FET! *hugs*
TansRN: WOOHOO! You ROCK girl! This is comiiiiiiiiing! It's SO exciting, dear! *jumps up and down* Sorry to hear that you're high risk for OHSS, though...

But they seem to keep you on a close watch, so that must lower your anxiety a little bit. LOL I bet you can't wait to POAS!

What is PIO exactly? Great job for the lining! How did your ER go? I hope it went smoothly! I sure had a little thought for you!
My2LnT: thanks for the comments about the list!

I'm really glad that you found an acupuncturist that you can trust more! Woohoo for that! And yes, I think that 3 sessions will help you. My acupuncturist did not start working on ET before I had it, only the day after. Before ER, he just worked on keeping me zen. So yes, three treatments will be enough. In fact, I'll start acupuncture later in my cycle this time, both because of practical and schedule reasons.I'm really sorry to hear that you're disappointed at your ovaries' performance. From your last post, however, it doesn't look bad at all! Sixteen is an amazing number, no? But it does only take one, sweetie... my boss' wife had only 6 collected, and only 1 fertilized... she was DEVASTATED, as you can imagine... Well, their adorable baby daughter was born in March!
marsxp: WELCOME!

Glad you joined! A first IVF is always stressful. But the most precious thing I learned from experience, my dear, is to LET GO! You can never predict what will happen! I'm 28, and I though I would stimm for something like 8 days only, LOL! Took FOUR u/s before they gave me the OK to trigger (12 days). The best way to know how far you are from ER is to ask your doctor!

They usually don't want to trigger you before your follicles reach 18mm or so. They want them between 18mm-25mm. So that gives you an idea. But sometimes, just like I did, your eggs can evolve slowly and then BOOM! Your ovaries turn into grapes between two u/s. You can never predict... so just let go, and what needs to happen will happen. You'd have a darn good excuse to miss that exam anyway, and you'd have the chance to do it a day later or so, I'm sure of that. Believe me, you'll be in no shape to do an exam on ER day, or even for a couple of days afterwards. I had minor bleeding from ER to ET three days later, and I was in pain for two days straight, 24h after ER. You might want to prepare yourself for that, because it was a surprise for me. You won't roll on the floor, screaming and calling to God, but be prepared for the possibility that you might be uncomfortable even with Tylenol. A hot bottle on the tummy helps. Best of luck for your BFP!
Jovigal: wow, congrats on the great count!

Good job sweetie, I'm happy for you! Grow follies, grow! Congratulations on getting the OK for the trigger shot! This is happeniiiiing! Yay!
hrobinson: totally get you on the speed of this thread! Whew! Time really flies!
Okay, gotta do that list and eat something! I'm starving! Have a great Sunday ladies!
