hi guys... it seems like it's been a while... we are ok... still hanging in there... i'm trying hard to make it past the 18th ( my DS's B-day party).. i'm aming for the 21st....but doc said that we are a go after the 18th, he said that he probably wouldn't stop it after the 13th, but maybe do an amino for the lungs... so we are holding out... nothing is getting that worse, so good for now... we are still at the doc's all the time, and tests every visit.....

it's good to hear that everyone still had baby in tummy... we are all getting so close... we are in the final strech..

tasha- glad to hear that you are on leave starting next week... cool!! i love this weather... just have to watch out, because i swell up like a balloon in the evening... then i get all the leg cramps and twinges from the swelling... i can not wear any shoes past 5:00ish... it's bad!!

racheal-sorry the meds are yucky.. i too am dealing with the side effects, but my meds make me want to sleep any place, and get the dizzy spells.. hope that they can cut back, or maybe your body will get used to them more....just a few more weeks.... keep telling yourself that... it sometimes helps me....

cowgirl- i hear you on the waddle, with the head falling out... and knowing that i'm dialating, i feel like there is really something there... and as for DH and i together.... to weird (sorry TMI)

angellica-good luck on the scan, and with your GTT results...

ellie- the mush brain gets better after birth... i have 100 notes all over everything, and need to write everything down... otherwise i forget it all

well... i hope that everyone is well...

Collen you are so right! We are all getting so close! Everyday I look at this site, actually numerous time a day, and when someone doesn't post I wonder. :-) May 21st, that is right around the corner!!!! and you are just a couple days ahead of me. I have been having lots of BH contractions so I am curious if I have changed any and will be examined again on monday. :-) I figure after the 21st I will start walking LOTS to encourage Naomi to come. Doc has said if I go after the 21 he will not stop it but according to my IVF dates I will not be full term till the 28th of May. I would much perfer to go into natural labor instead of being induced but it is really comforting knowing an end is insight considering both my other children were late.

I know I look at this site numerous times a day and don't always post anything and I know there maybe other ladies in the same boat, but if you have time jot a quick hi and let us know you are still here. :-)

Also anyone interested at taking guesses/predictions on what order we will all go in? Thought it might be fun and help time pass. :-) Who was it that kept the list of due dates before? Maybe I can go back in the past pages and put together a list of due dates for all of us, but I wouldn't have all the cute graphics :-)

Take care everyone!

Can't believe some of you are so nearly there. Just a week or 2 and you'll be holding your little ones.

Rachel- Sorry to hear your contractions started but glad everything is under control. Not great tho that the meds are making you feel awful. Not sure how your coping with two other children as well!

Cowgirl- glad your good. The predictions sounds good but I'd need the due dates of everyone. I get confused so easily!

Colleen- Glad your still hanging in there. Keep it going for abit and enjoy DS birthday.

Tasha- yeah! On leave, just can't believe you have to go back so soon. Rest well.

Angellica- hope the 4d scan was excellent. Let us know.

Things are ok with us, but have a horrible cough and cold. UP half the night for last few nights and this coughing plays havoc with the pelvic floor muscles!
Also my childminder phoned me last night to say one of the children she looks after on the same day as DD developed slap cheek on weds, so liy DD will get it and apparently thats not good for pregnant women who aren't immune. So had to have a blood test today to see. Not sure what happens if I'm not as the one thing I read about this is not a good outcome for baby (even mentioned stillbirth) but I refuse to read the internet for info. Pretty stressed about this but trying to stay calm until I know whether I am immune. This preganancy lark is soooo stressful!!!

Anyways, everyone enjoy the weekend. Going to order a carpet for DD new room tomorrow and she may be in there weekend! Hope the cot to bed move isn't too much of a nightmare!

Casy P I will say a prayer that your test results come back good. When will you find out????? Waiting for those will make for a long weekend.
I can TOTALLY relate to the horrible cold! I think I am just getting over mine, it lasted about 10 days, people at work are still complaining about how much I am coughing even though I don't want to take any more medine than need be. I hope you getting to feeling better quickly and I am glad you posted :-)

Take care everyone,

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I can't believe how close some of you are. I am so jealous. I can't wait!

Cowgirl - That is a great idea! I looked back at some of the old posts and here is what I could find. Maybe this will help.

Tasha - Due June 9th
Colleen - Due June 15th (but more than likely will be closer to 5/21)
Cowgirl - Due June 18th (but will probably be closer to 5/28)
Rachael - Due 6/27
Nance - Due 7/3
Kim - Twins due 7/6
Xrayen - Twins due 7/9
Wendy - Due 7/30
Ellie - Due 7/31
Angellica - Due 7/31
Nictor - Due August 10
Casy - Due August 13
Jeck - Waiting for Jaden to come home.

I have no idea how to do all the cute little pictures and graphics but this should get us started. Let me know if I got anything wrong or if we should put baby names on the list.

Casey - I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I hope you begin to feel better soon. Please let us know the results of the blood tests as soon as you know. I will say a prayer that everything turns out ok. You are very smart not to look on the internet. I always do and regret it afterwards because everything I read worries me so much. Good luck with DD's room. Let us know how it goes.

Colleen - I'm glad you are hanging in there and that everything seems to be going ok. Just a little while longer. You are almost there. (I think you are going to go first!)

Ellie - I hear you on the brain mush. It is horrible. This morning I was writing out thank you cards from the shower and I forgot my Aunt's last name and had to look it up (what is really scarry is that it did not even occur to me that it is also my mother's maiden name)

Angellica - Let us know how your scan went and if you got your GTT results. How are you feeling?

Tasha - Happy first day of leave!!! How are you feeling?

Kim - Let us know how you are doing when you get a chance?

As for me, I am doing fine. The heartburn is still no fun and I am having problems sleeping but other than that (and the constant worrying that never seems to go away) I am doing fine. The shower my family through for me was so much fun. We got lots of great stuff (too bad we don't have anywhere to put it yet). I'm still waiting for my DH to paint the room that is going to be Lily's nursery but hopefully he will do that in the next week or two so we can get the furniture in there and I can start organizing all of her things. I got a few Mother-to-Be mother's day cards and I love them all. I can't believe how happy they made me. I'm going to put them all in my scrap book.

I am sorry if I missed anyone but you are all in my thoughts and prayers everyday.

I also wanted to wish you all a very happy Mother's Day! We have all gone through so much to get here and we all deserve to celebrate.

All my best,
Nancy

Nance I was just getting ready to post a list I went back and compiled but it is pretty close to yours except for a couple differences. :-) This is what I have.

Tasha (Thook) - June 9th

Colleen (crasmus) - June 15th

Tricia (Cowgirlclass) - June 18th - Plan to induce June 6th

Racheal (cmoscar) - June 27th

Nance (Nance) - July 3

BecP - July 6th

Kim (buckeyegal) - July 6th

angellica (angellica) - July 31st

ellie (elliecat) - July 31st

Casy (CasyP) - Aug 10th

nictor (Nictor) - Aug 10th

If there are changes please let me know and I will update it. :-) I know a few others have talked about inducement dates or C-Section dates, so maybe after we get that stuff included we can start guessing :-)

Nance, I am glad you got lots of stuff at your baby shower. Now that I have had mine I know what I still need and I am going to start getting it. I was waiting to see what I got at the shower first. :-)
Hey has anyone seen the little onesie that has the saying "Got Milk?" on the front? I want to find one of those :-) I did get a little outfit that said "To Pee or Not to Pee" and then says something like I bet you know the answer to this one. It was cute. I have a TON of clothes and all the big stuff that I need but not much else. I swear I could put a differnt outfit on Naomi each day and she will never wear the same thing twice before she outgrows them. I believe I have my and her hospital bag packed minus my going home clothes cause I don't want them to wrinkle. So I am not sure what I am going to do about that. I figure I don't have to worry too much because I will probably make it to my inducement day even though I had some BIG contractions today, nothing regular but BIG.

Well I will stop rambling :-) Please let me know of corrections to the list so we can get it right before making guesses. :-)

Take care,
Cowgirl

Happy Friday Girls....

Well I'm back from my pampering day... I got my hair done, a manicure & a pedicure. At least I'll look cute for my baby shower tomorrow! I can't wait.... I'm so excited. Plus my cleaning people are coming tonight so at least my house will be clean for my DH's family that is coming in.

Wel I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and my blood pressure basically stayed the same and I'm still not dialted any... however, my doctor told me to start walking every night to help things move along. So let the walking begin....

Colleen- glad to hear things are going well... well if I don't dilate any it doesn't look like we'll be in the hospital at the same time... bummer. I was looking forward to having little Aubrey next weekend.

Cowgirl- great idea about the guessing/prediction game. Do you just want us to post our guesses?

CasyP- good to ear from you... however sorry to hear that you have a bad cough. Hopefully it gets better soon...

Nance- it's also god to hear from you... I'm feeling great today - thanks for asking. That's great that you got so many nice things for your shower... however, I hear ya about not having space. I'm scared about tomorrow.... where am I going to put everything??? I guess we'll figure something out.

I also want to wish all of you girls a very special HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!! Also I'm so happy that I have had all of you to help me through this trying process... your all a great bunch of girls and I'm proud to call you all my friends!

Tasha

YAAAAWWWWNNNNNNN.......

Hi gals! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I've been so busy...even working just 1/2 days! This week went by so fast!

I have been keeping up with your posts, and I've been thinking of you all. I wish I had time to post personals, but no such luck today. So sorry!

I'm glad to hear that most of you are doing well. Some of you are getting impatient...hold on gals! It won't be long! For those of you with colds or other ailments, I hope you recover soon. Try to rest up!

I'm good. I had my weekly checkup today. He didn't check my cervix, as I haven't had any contractions to speak of. Well, at least i don't think I have!? Everything's looking good though. Good BP, good heartrates, and my belly is measuring right on target. So I was pleased with that. I DID try to convince my dr. to let me try a vaginal birth, but he really insisted on the section. I'm bummed. I have always known a section was a strong possiblity, but I was so hoping to TRY a vaginal delivery, or at least go into labor naturally. However, he's going to schedule a section if I don't go into labor within the next few weeks. I did put my foot down, though, to say I want them to cook as long as possible, and he agreed! So, that made me feel better. :)

All my showers are done now. My staff threw a shower yesterday, and my class threw one today! Everyone was soooo generous. We now have TONS of outfits and diapers (yeah!) and toys. Now, we just need to use our gift cards to buy the double strollers and a high chair. Then, I think we'll be in pretty good shape! I hope. My students were soooo cute at our class shower. They gave me so many packages of diapers. And they had a blast trying to guess how big my tummy was with toilet paper! 4 kids actually got it exactly right! :D

Question for you gals--I learned today that a student at our school has whooping cough. I was told by the school nurse that I should be fine, but does anyone know much about this? I don't want to check the net, and my dr. is closed until MOnday. Anyone???

Well, I'll be a busy bee this weekend. I'm hosting a mother's day cookout for my family. So, cleaning and cooking are in order! :? How do I get myself into these situations? Ugh! Thank goodness my little sister and DH are going to help me out, though! THank God for them!

I hope you ALL have a great Mother's Day! I know for several of us, this will be our 1st! :) TAke care of your bellies! ANd for those of you having showers, have fun!

[By the way, I love the idea of guessing due dates!....]

Hey Ladies!!!

I can't believe how close you all are!!! How exciting!!!! I can't wait for each of you to have your little ones in your arms!!!

We will be entering the last phase of our adoption next week. This part is called for short PGN. It is kind of like our attorney general's office. This part there is no set reasoning to it. It can take as little as 6-8wks or 8+months.

If you would please keep Jaden in your prayers and his foster family too. I know God has a perfect time for Jaden to be home, let just pray that its soon!!!

We are going back June 9-16 to visit the week before Jaden's 1st b-day on June 20th. We are going to have a b-day party and the foster mom said Jaden has lots of little friends. I can't wait to meet all the wonderful people that have become a part of our son's life!!

I hope you all have a great Mother's day and I can't wait to read all the wonderful news of your little ones arrivals!!!!

Lots of love and prayers!!!

Happy Saturday all, hope everyone is well.
Jeck great to hear from you. Fingers crossed that Jaden will be home soon. I was actually thinking of you this am and wondering how things were moving along, so it was really good to hear from you. It must be great going to see him but i bet you desperatly want him with you.
Casey have just read in my pregnancy bible that it is really uncommon for a pregnant woman to develop slap cheek because most of us actually had it when we were younger without knowing it and so are immune. However If you do develop it then you will have regular monitoring and treatment but it does say that it is a very low percentage. When i worked in a nursery we had a few cases of slapped cheek and all of the pregnant parents were fine. I am sure you have nothing to worry about try and relax :D Good luck on the big transition from cot to bed hope your DD lets you sleep
Thook enjoy your walking, i keep planning to go out every pm but don't quite make it. However if it helps to speed thing up for delivery i will get my routes planned  Enjoy your day today, i bet you look and feel fantastic. I desperatly need to have a haircut and get my eyebrows waxed because i am starting to look a little wild at the moment.
Buckeyegal how cute of the children to hold you a shower, i am pleased you had a lovely time sounds fun. I miss not being in a class anymore the children used to keep me so amused.
I love the idea of guessing who will be first to deliver. This is so exciting that some of you are so close. :D :D :D
The weather here is so hot low 30's/ high 80's so i think i will go to the beach tomorrow does anyone know if it is safe to go in the sea and swim when you are pregnant. Think i might just paddle tomorrow anyway i don't think the water will be warm enough for me yet. Also any suggestions on keeping hayfever at bay. I usually only suffer mildly but this year everytime i step outside i get sneezing fits.I drink lots of water which seems to help a little but i don't really like taking medication normally and especially not at the moment.
Happy mothers day to you all.

Thanks guys for your thoughts. And thanks Ellie for the info. I'm sure everything will work out fine. Feeling more relaxed about it today as there is nothing I can do about it anyway!
Will chase the results on Tuesday as my midwife runs her clinic that day.

Tasha- Glad you enjoyed your pampering, sounds lovely.

Kim- Glad your well. Sorry to hear that they won't even let you attempt a vaginal delivery. At least you'll have a definate date soon though!

Jeck- Good to hear from you and glad things have been going well. Praying this last stage goes quickly and smoothly for you all. Thinking of you.

Nance- good to hear from you. Glad you had a lovely shower and that all is good.

Take care girls and speak soon

Happy Mother's Day at all you mamas..... Hope you all had a great day!

We're doing great today... we had a wonderful weekend. We got so many wonderful things at our baby shower yesterday and it was so great to see all my family & friends. Everyone was also so generous.... we received all of our big items and so many clothes. Little Aubrey is all set now.... all I have to do now is have her car seat installed, which I'm having done tomorrow afternoon. My Dad is a fireman so I'm taking my truck and car seat to the firehouse so they can install it for me. Then I have to finish packing my bag and do laundry.... then we'll be all set for her to arrive.

I also have a doctor's appointment tomorrow at 9:45am so we'll see if anything has changed from last week. Well just wanted to drop in real quick and say hello... time for bed.

Hope your all doing well and taking of yourselfs & your little ones... keep rubbing those bellies.
Tasha

we are ok here, nothing new... just moving along slowly and waiting for the little one to arive.. do not have time to write personals... but will get back here soon to do that.... i was going to tell those of you that are doing the walking thing... try to "curb walk" one foot on the curb, one on the street... the up and down is suposed to help the start dialation... there are also other things that you can do, but they say to wait till after 37 or 38 weeks to try those...

Tasha--I'm glad your shower went so well! You are lucky to have all your stuff! That must be a relief. A friend warned me about the "washing" thing--because I washed ALL my clothes from my 1st shower. She suggested to hold off on washing some of the older items for 6-12 months because they may not fit. duh. I never even thought about it....I just thought, "i"ll wash it all in Dreft and have it all ready like a good mommy!" So, only wash the newborn and 3 month stuff for now. Just a thought!

I'm actually headed to BAbies R Us and Target this afternoon to return some of our duplicate or unnecessary items so we can't get things we really need. I dread going to Target because their return policy sucks. I hope they'll be nice to a tired pregnant lady?

I also have an U/S this afternoon...can't wait to see how big these babies are!

Have a great day ladies!
