jen haven't read the article but just your post made me mad - our NHS is so bloody inconsistent and the hell can they justify paying for a couple to have IVF without income and have habits - its bloody crazy and the worse thing is, just say I was an addict and then had a baby naturally, the chances are social would take it away !! Doesn't make sense. Let us know if your mum gets a reply - be interesting to see what they say!

Angel - glad your manager is being supportive - i told mine although she is a woman and she is fab about it all - going to have to break the news that I'm back on the wagon !!

The appt went well yesterday, no obvious reasons for the BFN, but this time round he wants me to go on a short protocol, so basically when AF arrives, I have a baseline and about 5 days later start with menopur and cetrotide (any one had a short protocal??) then literally about 10 days its EC/ET so when they asked when AF was and I said any day now, they said great you can start this month yeeeks !!! Hadn't prepared to start, my work diary is back to back for the next 2 wks so getting to scans would be a nightmare, so we have decided to delay one month. Funny though, when I worked about approx dates EC/ET would have been roughly the same time as if I started the long protocal this month. Good news is that it I will be cycling with some of you which is great!!

Right, off for my lamb shank dinner - smells are drifting in and I'm so hungry......catch up soon

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all ok. Well, I did my race for life today there were 2000 women and it stayed dry!!! It was great, so many people doing it to remember loved ones or to celebrate the fact that they are still here like my mum.
Dh is ok thank you , he is feeling very tired at the moment and hes a bit quiet but its a lot to take in, I have been giving him lots of TLC but I think im getting on his nerves now lol .

Aunty- A list would be great, you have my vote!! I hope your appointment went well.

Carolyn- Hope the shopping was fun and that you spent lots of money on lots of lovely things.

Becky- The pavlova sounded yummy, sorry to hear that you burned it
I've been good this week as it if first week back in w/w so its lucky I can't cook.

Mars- Hope you are feeling better after egg retrieval. I have had everything crossed that you have lots of lovely eggs/embies

Jen- Hope you are feeling better, It is difficult to be happy around pregnant friends etc. I couldnt stand to be around my friends/family when they were pregnant but as soon as they had the babies i was much better. Its seeing pregnant women that sets me off. I feel bad about it but I just cant help it. Im sure it wont matter if af is still about at the appointment, im sure it wont be the first time its happened. We are staying in the hotel I told you about, its close to the clinic and it was very reasonable in price and every penny counts!! I think weve paid £200 for the flight and hotel that's for both of us not each so its not bad.

Jackie- I'm glad your appointment went well, fantastic news that you can start again so quickly. Yes Im afraid dh is off the sweeties !!Hope your lamb dinner was as good as it sounded

Rachel- Hows the tat? has it healed up enough for a picture? Hope the shoppping went well and you got lots of lovely goodies

ok, deep breath and here goes......

I think I'm PREGNANT

My AF is late, so I did a test yesterday and there was something there so we went in to town and brought some more sticks and tried again this morning. This time, the line was a little more darker and is still there now!! Will do it again tomorrow as at the moment we can't not believe it. Never in a million years did we think that we could conceive naturally, perhaps we just gave up hope and bang it happened.

I don't know what to do now, do I tell the clinic, the dr's or both??!!

I'm not allowed to tell anyone but I thought my cyber friends have a right to know

OMG I don't know what to do with my self..........

Jackie OMG OMG that gave me goose bumps and made me cry...i am so happy for you this is wonderful news, it must feel crazy ..i would call your clinic get them to do a beta for you...also going this way you will get to have a scan a lot sooner than if you went with another Dr...please keep us informed.

jackie!!!!! congratulations on your BFP!!!!! im so happy for you dear...... im sorry i cant give you advice on who to tell first but yeah, i suggest you go to your OB for beta amazing.... God works in mysterious ways....

update on me- i had my ER last friday... didnt know how many they collecteduntil the following day when they called me up ... they told me they got 9 out of me friday and the following day 7 fertilized..... thats a great news..... so i went back Monday for the transfer and they showed me picture of the 2 that's going back in me.. they are both 8cells... they're beautiful.... i actually have 3x8cells, 2x7cells 1x5cell and 1x4cells... i think they wait til 5th day to see who's gonna make it to be preserved....

right now im on the dreaded 2ww.... i dont feel anythign yet since its only 1dpt but my lower back is sore and i feel tingling here and now on my left side... i hope it's the embies trying to snuggle up closer to mommy hehehehe

this is all for now.... sorry if i cant make lots of personals... but i wish all the best to you all..... will be peeking in and out here...

Well ladies i didnt lose any weight this week but its the 1st time that i havent so to celebrate i'm having chips for tea i know i shouldnt but i fancy them tat is nearly healed so will take a pic sometime this week ok must go has have a bit of headache i think i've worked out what gives me them its bananas (i think)

hey,

thank you for your lovely support...still not believing it yet! Spoke to my DRs who have suggested that I wait to inform the clinic until I have had a 8wk appt with mid wife. Unfort my clinic doesn't do a beta blood test and I guess if they gave me a scan, I probably would pay for it !! I've now done 3 HPT's and all BFP's!

Anyway after that, I started to have quite a bit of brown discharge so I called my DRs again just to see if there was anyone that I could talk to, to see if I should be concerned - he rang straight back and has booked me an early scan for thursday. And I should know as I have read so many posts here about ladies with similiar experiences that it can happen but guess we are just anxious.

Rachel - damn those lbs for not coming off, and why not treat yourself now again - you deserve it!! Chips are much nicer than bananas anyway Can't wait to see your tat.... let me know when you've posted it.

Marsxp - wow sounds like you have some excellent embies there - oh fingers crossed. I suspect that they are looking for somewhere to call home for the next 8mnths .

Jen - are you getting excited yet for the big trip??

Green - welcome, sorry its a little late - but these girls are the best ever

Gill - congratulations on the race for life - which reminds me Becky I still need to do your sponsorship.!! how is DH - is coping ok ?
