hi to everyone else x x x

DH has been out tonight for works night out. So after watching a weepy on film 4 about an adopted girl seeking out her birth mum, i tuned into discovery health Baby month. Gosh the tears were flowing. One austrailan woman went for sperm donation and had a singleton. Hoping for a sibling she went again and had a BFN. Then spent 18months going again every ,month until she got preg with quads...having 6 babies (aged under 3) they said wasn't enough so when the quads were 7 months old she went again for donor sperm with her hubby and she was preg with , quads again...amazing and emotional to watch, but sad as one of the quads was then still born. Each ime the quads were premature and it was touch and go...But she is an amazing woman and so is her DH...my heart was so full for her and her DH...OH! to have 1 i would be so happy :D :D :D :D

Have a good weekend everyone will catch ya all on Monday!!!!

love jen ( JB)

morning, hows everyone?? Anyone else been kicked out of the lounge so DH can watch FA Cup Final  I know, its not even started yet!!!

Went back to the hospital this morning for 2nd blood test and then ring on monday morning to find out the results - however whilst I was there, I asked if they were able to give me the HCG levels from Thursday's blood test (I know I'm naughty and very impatient too) and they looked it up and it was 773 - so I guess good news is viable BFP and numbers are pretty good (I think) - now just have to wait and see if they go up on Monday. The spotting however is still there - ((groan)) !!

DH has told me off though, said that I know too much and should leave things well alone and wait til monday  , however I know you girls will totally understand!

JB - welcome - this is going to be confusing too Jens from scotland and both going to BCN - oh my I know I will get confused! So forgive me now.
Wow - 2 sets of quads - i guess in Oz they don't have a restriction on the number of eggs put back. Congratulations on the wedding - the setting must have been absolutely breath taking in Canada - how come you went there - is your DH Canadian?

Becky - did you pop into the clinic - any news on your start date??

Aunty - the list is looking fab as per usual. I've already got a little belly but don't think its anything to do with the pregnancy

Rachel - a new hair do, lovely - I hope it picks up your spirits - you sound a little blue and I'm worried hun. Has the tat healed yet?

Mel - hey welcome back - so glad that the tests have come back good for you - good luck with the clomid challenge - fingers and toes crossed :D

Nannybear - welcome and good luck for that lil sibling for your little boy.

Jill / jen not long to go for your adventure to Barcelona - is the clinic in the city or outside? Its a great city so hope you have time to do a bit of retail therapy :D

Carolyn a girl after my own heart - shoes and bags. any sign of AF yet? Fingers crossed that FSH are ok, I guess there is no reason why they shouldn't be and that means then you're all set to go in 4 wks wooohooo

shantala - hey babe how are you doing - are you feeling much better now? Thank fully its the weekend, nothing worse than coming back from hols to go back to work - you feel that you have never been away!

I know I've missed some (sorry) but thinking of you and hope you are having a great weekend - hopefully you're having the same lovely sunshine we are having today :D

hugs jackie x

thanks for updating the list Becky - Monday is more b/w and I guess they will then decide whether I have another scan or not.

And yes, I have worked out the due date (how could I not!) different calculators have given slightly different dates but they are all around 16th Jan, my DH birthday is the 12th so what a fantastic present that would be. However I'm trying not to jump to far ahead of myself but every now again I do sit and think OMG its really happened I'm pregnant but it still hasn't sunk in yet.

Get taking those iron tablets especially if you have heavy periods or eat foods such as organ meats, eggs, fish, pumpkin and sunflower seeds - but it is good that your dendist found out for you atleast you can now do something about it.

And hey, you've got to promise that your ring that clinic next friday otherwise you'll have us nagging you!!

Can't believe you're daughter is to converse shoes, they were around years ago in the eighties, have they come back into fashion??!! I knew I should have kepted my eighties wardrobe, would have saved me a small fortune now!

here is one for you and carolyn - when I went to have my bloods done, there were posters up for joseph and a chap called daniel boys - apparently his mum is one of the emblogists thingies (those who take blood)

I guess I ought to get off here, 30mins to kick off and not allowed anywhere near the telly and now getting a little bored - dont know what to do with myself at the mo and on the verge of rambling !!!

Ladies

Can only do a 'me' post as my youngest sister (who does not know about ivf stuff) is due over any moment & need to get this web page closed down. Sorry. She is coming to keep me company as dh is away from yesterday until Wednesday. Yuck that he is away for 5/6 days - too long  . She is going to have to endure both Joseph and Grease with me!!! I shall treat her to a take away so hopefully that will make it worth her while.

But just had to say - your wishes and acu - have brought on AF!!!!! Not really here yet but enough to make me think that tomorrow or Monday will be D1/D2 so I can go and get bloods done. Have somone coming to look at our house to see if we can put in a loft at 9am. Need to get to clinic for 10am on Sunday if AF does show. Could be tight - arggghhh. Otherwise will have to get up really early on Monday (open at 7.30am) as I then have a client meeting at 8.30am. Never thought that AF would arrive on time !!!!!

OMG - cycle could start here. Have certainly been in denial up to this point in time.

Will post more tomorrow.

Love to you all.
Carolyn

Might get a few personals in before my sister arrives.........

Jackie - saw your beta. WOW. You are on your way. So happy for you. Must say that I am not a big fan of Daniel Boys. Think that he is a bit bland & boring for my liking  I am so sad that I had the footie on even though dh not here. Would have thought that I'd have taken the chance to not have to watch. He even called me from San Francisco in half time. Early hours of the morning but still found a bar to watch the match with his uncle. Unbelievable

JB - welcome. Wow. Your wedding in April sounds so cool. Good that other Jen got you here

Rachel - what colour is your hair? Need to dye mine tomorrow to get rid of all the grey

Nanny bear - welcome. Let's hope that this is a lucky thread for you and you get a little brother or sister to join your other miracle

Mel - so fab that the cancer is staying away. It is good that they are running lots of tests to be 150% sure

Becky - if you cannot afford much acu then it is the two lots on ET day that are really supposed to make the difference. Before and after ET. That is what my acu cutie says. Do that if you cannot afford the whole shooting match. Certainly shortened my cycle and made it more regular after treatment. I think that all girls LOVE shoes and bags - it is just some try to surpress their true feelings. I have an embarrassing amount of both - even in our hall way!!! Was just thinking that I should move so so a little less obvious........

Jen1d - you are pulling together a right BigB group - you'll be taking over the thread soon 8) How are you doing? I know that you are on a 7 day shift. Don't work too hard hun

ARRGGGG - pushed my luck - little sister at door - gotta go - sorry for all those I have missed. Will post more tomorrow

you make me laugh so much especially re the cot and your furniture...I haven't yet thought that far ahead just yet although have thought about which room to allocate as the nursery! But atleast you know what you want for your BFP this time :D

Think hormones are playing havoc this afternoon so have been sullking upstairs watching crap tv whilst FA cup was on and then had a little nap :D - we have decided to go out tonight as I'm climbing the walls and need to see different ones other than mine

Fish is good for you (says me who can't stand it!!) - organ meats are like liver/offal /kidneys yuck yuck yuck :x so wouldn't blame you from staying away from them either!
